Overpriced and if you're looking for just scenery it is a nice place. The theme is really nice. Food is bland. Drinks are not strong enough and over price we were for and we ended up with a $400 bill. No sorry

I want local business to succeed and this place has a lot to do to improve. I started working down the street and this place has been on my radar for a while. The vibe is great and seems fun. However, my experience was everything but that! I came in for a cocktail and appetizer. The bartender had zero engagement. There was nobody there and lots conversations w/ other employees. I work in hospitality so this probably irks me more than others. I wanted to order food....but, once I ordered my (high priced) cocktail - there was f/u. No conversation, no eye contact, no service. I asked for my check and left. My company is moving hiring a lot of ppl in the area. I was trying to find a place to take my team on a regular basis. This isn't a good fit for me. Bummer!
Be the first to ReplyI thought this place okay.
Limited menu selection and kinda of pricey. We came on a Saturday night and sat next to the DJ. The waitress was not familiar with the menu at all and we had to show her the items on the menu. The drinks weee good though. I would say it had a similar vibe to Kings and Queens but different.

We came here for my bday dinner after tacos el gordo was packed. This was quite the downgrade. They had a yelp coupon listed that they said was no good, the food came out a couple plates at a time so by the time my food came out the rest of the group was basically done- that was weird. The steak was overcooked and bland. The inside is cute but the food was expensive and not good.

Be the first to ReplyA great place to eat decent Mexican food.
Staff was very nice. We had my husband's 30th birthday here and it was actually a great experience. The only reason I give it a poor rating is because the food is just not very good. Not the Mexican food you should get for the price. However if you want to hang out with the girls and have some drinks, it's perfect! I will not be coming back for a meal however.
Be the first to ReplyLTC offered an average dining experience.
The food was decent. The atmosphere was pleasant, and service was adequate. While not bad, it didn't leave a lasting impression. Three stars.

Came here for a celebration for a friend, the food was good, there was taquitos, chips n salsa and quesadillas, the problems began with my drink...I ordered the Mexican candy drink, then menu priced it at $15, for this amount I expected a much larger glass than what it came in but overall it was a refreshing drink and reminded of a sandia sucker. Now i must say we were a very large group and for some reason there was only 1 server assigned to our area which I thought was bad staffing. The server brought me my bill for my drink listing it at $17 not the $15 listed in the menu PLUS they had already added the tip to the bill since we were a large party making the total of the drink almost $22. I flagged the server over and pointed out the pricing difference and she said she would go ask the manager an about it...it may have only been a $2 but since you're already adding tip to my bill also I think you should be charging your customers correctly. I waited 15 minutes and the server never came back so I went over to the bar so I could just pay the bill because I needed to leave, luckily (or so I thought) the server was at the bar and I told her I wanted to just pay the bill and go...she took the bill from me and I handed her a $50 (keep in mind the drink was $22) as I handed her the money she looked at me and said "you got change" and I said yes I'd Like change and she looked back at me and asked me again if I had change and I said no that's why I gave you the $50...she rolled her eyes at me and said fine and walked away. While this was happening I had 2 friends with me watching the whole thing. About 7 minutes later she came back and with frustration she handed me change and I let her know she actually gave me too much back and I gave her what she over paid me and I still even left her a tip because I felt bad for her being the only server working this huge party. As soon as I got to my house I received a phone call from a friend who told me the server was telling people in my party that I left without paying my bill which to me was super embarrassing to be accused of and not being there to correct the issue myself...the idea that my friends are now being told I walked out on a bill was horrifying!! I asked my friend (who was standing with me when I paid) to kindly remind the server I had given her cash and indeed had paid my bill and even left a tip on top of already being up charged! I texted my friend a few minutes later and she said everything had been cleared up. Idk how I really feel about this place yet because I'm solely basing my current review off of this one experience. I plan on going back on a regular evening to see how service really is on a regular night but for right now it's a 1.5 star review because the food especially the taquitos were really good!
Be the first to ReplyWe came here tonight to celebrate my son's birthday.
Our server Cindy was excellent. The chicken wings we ordered were too salty and had too much fat on the them. Our party spent more than $300 yet they would only give us a 50% discount on that item. The manger Rene was not helpful and unfortunately we will not return or recommend this restaurant. We left with a bad taste in our mouth.
Be the first to ReplyWhile in the area thought I'd try this place.
There was maybe 3 other patrons. We were not greeted. I had to ask for a menu. The margarita was so sweet, server never came to follow up. The guy in the back of bar was lifting up his shirt, scratching his back & stomach the entire time, think he might've been the manager. This is once I'm done, not sure how they can sustain this location with no business and terrible service! There are just too many other places that surpass this place another employee/manager stepped out to show one of the female patrons his new G wagon lol! I didn't expect this place to be like Javier's in UTC but c'mon! These five star reviews are BS! We go out ALOT I guess our standard is higher!

First off, food came before appetizer, they delivered the wrong dish to us, we picked up the food and realized it wasn't ours, they took it and gave it to a different table, AFTER we touched it. One other dish was wrong, twice. All the food was cold. Now back to the appetizer, we ordered the queso dip, AND it had the biggest, thickest hair in it! This place is a HEALTH HAZARD!

Norma was amazing from the moment we sat down and gave us outstanding service. We will definitely be back.
Be the first to ReplyWhere do I begin? I had called and made a reservation for
Where do I begin? I had called and made a reservation for around 12 people yesterday for 6pm. My sister and I showed up about 5 minutes before and the table was 80% ready. The server haphazardly threw some menus and cutlery for the rest without setting it up nicely. First red flag. We ordered water and 2 shots while waiting for the rest of our group. She accidentally spilled a little of our shots and apologized, we said it was okay but she didn't clean up the mess after spilling. As the rest of our party trickled in, our server didn't come to check on us or provide water or ask for drink orders for the other guests. She attended to the tables around us, but would walk away without helping us. By the time she came back to our table, it was almost 7pm and everyone was there, hungry and thirsty so we had a very large order to put in. Since it was happy hour, chips and salsa were brought but only 2 personal sized baskets were brought for the whole table. Some of the people in my party ended up going to the bar for their drinks because it took so long for us to put in our orders. To make a long story short: orders that came out, came out either incomplete, wrong, or not at all. Another server finally came to help bring our plates but had an attitude about it if someone told her they were missing something or if it was wrong. We had requested for more water about 3-4 times and still hasn't got them. Eventually another server and one of the managers had to come take care of our party. They did their best to make up for the other servers before them and gave us free dessert. I only tried one taco because the rest of my order never came out and I was pretty much over being there, especially after being there for 3 hours. I am a pretty understanding person when it comes to working in jobs that deal with customers but there is also no excuse for the attitudes, the fact that most of the large order we put in wasn't sent to the kitchen, and the lack of apology from not being consistent with our water or appetizers. I get some places need more workers and my group is understanding of that too but as a new employee (which I assume the original server was), she should've had help or gave our table to someone more experienced with dealing with large parties. I personally wouldn't come again but I appreciate the last server and manager for trying to right some of the wrongs.

We just visited this place for the first time! I highly recommend: entree-shrimp fajitas, app-bacon wrapped shrimp, dessert-fried plantains w/ice cream, and cocktail-mama coco. I love the ambiance, this place is so adorable! The service was also really good!

Arrived with my friends at 3 and service was so slow we are barley leaving at 6:20, the only positive thing I have to say is that the food looked pretty. They have a hidden card fee at that is not mentioned anywhere on the menu at the end. Our servers name was Marco I believe. After being ignored by staff, I don't believe I'll ever return. Ps. The food is bland, under seasoned, and their "spicy sauce" is basically oil.

First time going to this restaurant and everything that could go wrong happened. We got there at 8:30 pm and it took 1.5 hrs for 3 of 5 meals to come out. We never received the other two meals, so we cancelled it. Our server went on break told us and never handed our table off to another server. Our appetizer came out with our entree's. Our appetizer took almost hours. Totally unacceptable service. We kept asking when the food would come out and we were told in a couple of minutes. Mind you we ordered rolled tacos, shrimp tacos, enchilada (never received) and fish taco (never received it. Our bill was wrong. We were charged for the free yelp appetizer and one of the meals we never received. In addition, the music so loud, we could NOT hear each other talk nor could we hear the server when he was around. The server had the nerve to show up as we were leaving. We won't be returning back to this restaurant!

Be the first to ReplyI can't even explain how great everything was here.
Visiting from LA and it's the first great meal we've had since arriving. The flavors of everything are so mouth watering. They have their own unique touch to every meal. Hands down our #1 place to visit when we're in town again. We got Sesame Place passes so we'll be here often :)
Be the first to ReplyI was hesitant because they have a limited menu, but I was
I was hesitant because they have a limited menu, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that everything my family and I tried was delicious. Everything we ordered had beautiful plating and was packed with flavor. The mama coco drink was sweet with coconut flavor and also had a good kick of liquor in it. The pulpo appetizer had scrumptious potato's and salad to accompany the octopus drizzled with a sweet sauce. The tinga taco appetizer was ok, I'd recommend the tinga enchiladas over the tacos. The enchiladas had a lot more flavor than the tacos and the chicken was cooked perfectly with the tinga flavor shining through. The burger was cooked perfectly and you could taste every element from the cheese and the sautéed sweet onions. To finish, we tried the corn flan where you could palpably taste the corn flavor and was topped with sweet popcorn. All in all an amazing place to go eat where probably any choice you make from the menu will be a good one

Went for my Birthday celebration and the food and atmosphere were amazing. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. My only one little complaint was that my Birthday dessert was not free, most places will give you your birthday dessert free. I mean for the amount of money you spend at most Restaurants, it's nice to get at least something free on your special day. But, noted for next time, I will ask first. Sometimes, it may make a difference as to where I want to celebrate my birthdays.
Be the first to ReplyDidn't know this place was here until my friend told me
Didn't know this place was here until my friend told me about it and said she wanted to try. Immediately I was intrigued with the colorful Dia De Los Muertos art throughout the restaurant. Most of the art was painted directly on the walls, which allowed the art to make a bold and welcome statement to its customers. The rest of the decor was complemented with brick and hedge accent walls which warmed up the bright decor. Food came up super fast but maybe it was because we came at 5pm on a Wednesday. Cocktail: Tamarindo Martini. Love! It was garnished with small flowers floating on top and it had a good balance of the tamarindo and vodka. I could've ordered two of these but alas it's a Wednesday :(Apps: Guacamole with chicharones and chips with salsa. The chicharones were fresh but big sized so you have to snap them in half. I did like the fact that the pork rind was curly enough to tuck in your guac. Guacamole was smooth and creamy, chips had the right amount of paprika and salt. The salsa was good and lightly spicy.Shrimp Ceviche: This was plated well with an abundance of chopped mangos, cucumbers and cooked shrimp. I do prefer shrimp ceviche cooked in lemon juice since the shrimp is tender when prepared this way and I love a lemon heavy ceviche. So for me this was good but I have my preferences. Main: Poblano chicken. Grilled chicken was rolled and chopped into bite sized pieces and topped with poblano sauce. The sauce had a slight tang of spice and it complimented the chicken well. The chicken was a little dry. Accompaniments were okay.Dessert: Corn flan. Basically, the flan has the caramel sauce below it rather than drizzled on top and it was sprinkled with crunchy caramel corn. Interesting mix of textures. Flan wasn't as soft and creamy as I would like, it had a fimer texture. Overall an okay dessert.I would come back again to see if there's some other dishes that stand out more to me.
