Fantastic Lakeside Experience
Note to self: RESERVATIONS!! We celebrated my birthday at Lakeside and it was wonderful. A must is their CRAB CAKE - it was the best I ever tasted. Full of crab, perfectly cooked and delicious. The presentation was elegant on each dish. The steaks were perfect, the side of mash potato was over the top delicious. The service was great - on the spot for each course. Desert was the Chocolate Spectacular - and it was enough for two and delicious. The lakeside show experience is whimsical and entertaining and can be seen from any table inside or out. Everyone around us was complimenting their food as well. Great job - the WYNN is always a 5 star experience.
Be the first to ReplyVery disappointed
Made reservation ahead of time but still got seated at peek a boo view table. $59 Grilled branzino was undercooked and sent back to the kitchen. $19 truffle fries looks like Five Guys but Five guysโ fries taste better and way cheaper. $56 Black cod and $20 cauliflower were both just ok. The only dish we found really good was their Cesar salad. Overall very disappointed, the food and price donโt match, if we are talking about the high price menu for the lakeside show/view then I only saw 1/8th of waterfall screen while my wife could only see the trees and reflection of lights from her angle. If people made the reservation please at least give your customers better seats for the lakeside view, the food is already below average, this restaurant is nothing without that lakeside view.
Be the first to ReplyThe worst experience
I was there with my wife for the 22 anniversary, for a reservation that we made 1 month ago asking twice for patio sitting. So, the patio sitting wasn't honored, they offered us big table for 6 behind the wall. And the worst part was the pregnant hostess took money from us promising table outside. And again, nothing and the main host came and said that all they had not congratulated the anniversary or said sorry. My point is I will never step to that overpriced place for the worst experience, And I work in transportation services in Las Vegas I will make sure not to let any of my customers to go there. Big shame!!!!
Be the first to ReplyRude host. They took us 40 min after our reservation time. Racial comments. Terrible
Never again. Racists. Terrible host and service. Shame, shame, shame!!!Bar was a disaster. No one took us in for 20 min terrible unfriendly hostile place
Be the first to ReplyGreat experience, Good food
We decided to have dinner at Lakeside during our trip. The service was very good and the show was entertaining. The food was also good, not great and the portion size was small for the price. It was a positive experience and I'm glad we stopped by, but I'm not sure I'd return.
Be the first to ReplyUnderwhelming
After much research, we were excited to visit Lakeside for a great seafood night during our vegas trip. Unfortunately we were underwhelmed with the entire experience. The decor is great, bar service and area very nice and quick. The dining experience, however, left much to be desired. We were sat directly behind a large column near the check in stand. This is the perfectly worst spot given part of the charm of the restaurant is the "lake" and water wall feature outside. We were unaware that outdoor/lakeside/patio seats could be requested months in advance so we completely understood that outside was unavailable, but "behind the column" was disappointing. This is not the reason for substandard review, however. 3 of the 4 of us brought drinks from the bar to our table and I felt maybe partly due to that, from the first moment our waiter decided we weren't worth much time. Not friendly, not much helpful, and hoping to get rid of us. So far, all tolerable. The food quality was the final kicker. Much of the seafood is poached; can be very tender and soft but also very bland. One of our party enjoyed the entre - the poached halibut. Cooked nicely but nothing special on flavor. The branzino came out and it was one filet. Normally branzino is served as the whole fish often grilled to a nice crisp skin. No menu description said it would be a filet and it was not crispy and was not flavorful. The poached chicken was well cooked and also fairly non descript. Again, nothing terrible but nowwhere near an excellent meal and certainly not up to value for this type of restaurant and price point. Lastly, the bread was literally terrible. It was made with non-standard grains (spelt, rye, etc? unknown) and came with a very off-putting lime butter. All of us hated it. How can you screw up bread so badly? I hope this is informative for folks more than scathing. I would try somewhere else.
Be the first to ReplyLAKESIDE PERFECTION - LAS VEGAS BEST !!!
We ( 8 pax) enjoyed a family/friends birthday celebration (wife) and it has to be described as PERFECTION . Fantastic Food , Patio table , Show and most of all Attentive Service . You will not find anything better in Vegas for sure. It is a must visit. The Food is delicious , the atmosphere exciting and the Show is simply amazing . Thankyou so much to Francesca , Vincent and all the Lakeside Team . Be Proud Wynn Las Vegas . THANKYOU FOR A LIFETIME MEMORY !
Be the first to ReplyClassy atmosphere with excellent food.
Excellent, iconic restaurant with great food and entertainment. We had the lobster risotto and the boneless ribeye. Once we were seated the service was phenomenal. What a fun place with an extensive wine list and fun cocktail menu. But hey it's Vegas, I wouldn't expect anything less.
Be the first to ReplyShowing commercials multiple times during dinner ruins the ambiance
We took my parents here for their 45th wedding anniversary. We were seated quickly, we had a very nice table outside overlooking the water. The waitstaff was very attentive and knowledgeable. I got the $99 ribeye steak. The taste was great and it was cooked properly but the presentation was very lacking. It was just a ribeye on a white plate with one cioppino onion rolling around. There was no garnish or anything for that price I did not expect a side but I expected something other than place a steak on a plate. My cousin got the $180/lb king crab legs and again, the taste was great but the presentation was a few very large pieces of king crab meat stacked like logs on the plate. For that price you could have spent some time/effort to make it look great. The best/worst part of the evening was the shows. We were excited to watch the shows and while they were probably entertaining for children not what we were expecting. Especially when the screen seemed to malfunction with each show and show a large head singing that seemed out of proportion and right next to it the screen just showed a black silhouette which was obviously some technical error. But I think the best part of the night is when they show you commercials. What is better than when you are paying over 1k for dinner with your party and then you start to get advertisements for the Wynn show Awakening. Who doesn't want to be enjoying the company, ambiance and drinks and then get an advertisement to go to such and such website and buy tickets to this show multiple times throughout your dinner. Beyond Tacky. Overall the food was good but there was no reason to repeat going to this restaurant again. I live in Las Vegas and eat at many restaurants for business meetings, there are other amazing options for business and special occasions.
Be the first to ReplyFun show, great service, yummy food
What a fun evening!! We had a table lakeside and enjoyed the entertainment every half an hour. Kids would have LOVED this!! We all started with cocktails to enjoy before dinner. For starters we shared octopus, crab cakes and Caesar salad. For dinner the ladies had the branzino and guys had the filet medium rare. Of course we had to try the truffle fries which were piping hot and amazing. All entrees cooked perfectly,Sommelier recommend the Mauritson Loam Cab. We enjoyed it so much we had two bottles. For dessert we split the pineapple upside down cake. By the end of the evening, we were all stuffed!! I have had better food in other restaurants, but the service was great and the show fun! Would definitely recommend you check it out!!
Be the first to ReplyRomantic evening!
The ambience is elegant and romantic. The wait staff were friendly, fun and knowledgeable. They made recommendations and did not steer us wrong. The food was delicious as well. The Brussels sprouts were the best I have had! And you have to try the tea and honey dessert!
Be the first to ReplyExcellent Dining Option
We went to Lakeside for our anniversary and it was an excellent experience. We have only ever been disappointed in one meal at the Wynn (looking at you Cipriani). For appetizers we had the Scallops and Crab Cakes. Very tasty. For mains wife had the Snapper and I had the Domestic Wagyu NY Strip. The snapper was well prepared. I wouldn't get the Wagyu again. Not because it was bad but because I could not tell the difference between a regular NY Strip and the Wagyu. I added scallops - fresh and delicious. For dessert we shared the Upside Down Cake - nice ending to the meal. All-in-all, an enjoyable evening at the Wynn. Would definitely eat here again. The service was professional and not too intrusive. Weather sucked outside or we would have liked to have had a chance to sit on the patio. Dinner for two with alcohol and tip: $400.00

Lovely. Great food . Highly recommend the New York Strip . The staff were very good and the lake of dreams is terrific. Great night out .
Be the first to ReplyElegance and great service
At dinner at the Lakeside this week. Staff is wonderful. Food fantastic- best pumpkin cheesecake ever and the honeynut squash was delicious. The food is artwork- great presentation. I will be back. Tge virtual water feature is a must see along with the fountains at the Bellagio.
Be the first to ReplyGreat flavors at a decent Vegas price
Overall the meal was very good with all dishes being really well seasoned and delicious. The octopus, albeit a little hard, was spicy and the aioli really elevated the dish. The tagliatelle had a wonderful truffle flavor โ personal choice: I do not like crumbs on my pasta, but that was not a deal breaker. The upside down pineapple cake was really tasty, but be warned that it is huge and you will need some gelato to offset the sweetness. Drinks were excellent, too. Especially the cocktails. Finally, service was friendly and attentive; prices were decent. My only complaint: Get better music...

Eric did a fantastic job last night. His service was prompt and complete. Great steak and the beet starter was excellent!!!

My husband and I came here for my birthday dinner and it was an excellent choice. I wanted to avoid the over priced celebrity restaurants that tend to be disappointing, and every list of best restaurants in Vegas included this place. We started with a dozen oysters which were fresh and delicious, my husband had the ribeye and lobster, and I had the mahi mahi, and both were perfect. We would recommend Lakeside to anyone visiting Las Vegas and looking for a nice meal.

I had a wonderful dinner experience. The food was excellent; it was highly recommended, and I wasn't disappointed. I would suggest you try it out. Everything was amazing. Eli was very knowledgeable with helping me with my options for the evening.

This is our favourite restaurant in Las Vegas and we always try to visit once whenever we are in town. Itโs not just down to the amazing food though (which is AMAZING), the whole setting on the Lake of Dreams makes it feel magical. It is quite pricey but definitely worth the expense if there for a special occasion.
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful location!
This trip we decided to try the Lakeside. The service was very good and we enjoyed our food. My husband had the shrimp and white bean soup and the halibut. He said both of these dishes were great. I had the tomato salad and the branzino which were also very good. We also enjoyed a bottle of Rumbauer Chardonay wine. The water shows were cute and entertaining. Our waiter Roy was attentive and friendly. This restaurant has many seafood choices and we would highly recommend it. Yes it is pricey but when you are in a fine dining restauarant with this quality of food it is to be expected. We look forward to returning to try another meal again!

Worst dinner experience ever. Run far far away!
We gave up a reservation at one of our favorite restaurants in Las Vegas to join friends at Lakeside at Wynn. There were 6 of us.
First of all, we had an outside table on a pretty cool evening. They have heaters, but two of the people at our table were not close to being covered by them, and were cold. When we asked the staff to move another heater closer to the table, their response was "we're not allowed to move the heaters", which translated to me, "too bad they're cold - let them deal with it". I've been at many much lesser cost restaurants that eagerly have moved heaters and done whatever necessary to make their guests comfortable. This set the tone of this being a snooty restaurant at the Wynn, and they were above doing the same.
When we got our $20.00+ cocktails, our drinks had less liquor in them than just about any other restaurant or bar we have been to. When a comment was made about it, the waiter's response was "they meter everything sir".
Then came dinner. I ordered a steak with lobster tail add on, which made it a $121.00 entree ($81.00 for the steak and $40.00 for the lobster tail). The steak was the worst steak I have ever been served in a restaurant of any caliber. Small, burnt and cooked to death. Inedible tasting like shoe leather. The lobster tail was cold, and so small when they first put it on the table, we thought it was shrimp.
We sent the entire meal back, and left having had over seasoned/salted french fries for dinner that cost $18.00. They made it a point of telling us about six times that they were going to take this meal off the check, as if they were doing us a favor. When in fact they should be beyond embarrassed for serving such poor quality food in what is supposed to be a top notch high class restaurant.
This restaurant is a joke. Ridiculously overpriced, pretentious attitude and service, and very poor quality for the money. If you want to have a good dinner, leave the hotel and find a good restaurant. If you want to throw money down the drain and it's important to you to think you're impressing people by telling them that you ate at the Wynn, this is the place for you. Worst dinner experience we have had in many years, and we eat out alot.
Avoid the Crab and Carrot Cake
We made advance reservations for early evening at the Lakeside after reading reviews on Trip Advisor. We ate outside on the patio and had a great view of the waterfall. The music video montage was lovely. We also appreciated the heaters as they made quite a difference. The wine was fine; light and fruity. The service was friendly.
In general, we were not impressed with the food. My Caesar salad was not fresh and crisp. I liked the crab cakes and their presentation though. My husband ordered the pasta and crab dish. He had indigestion for at least 24 hours afterwards. Then we split the carrot cake dessert. It was dry and the icing was gooey. Our total bill was over $200 and we felt disappointed. I think weโll avoid this place in the future.
Wonderful meal and entertaining
Waited to sit with a view and that was well worth it. We had made reservations well in advance. If you wait there is a lovely parasol bar right next to Lakeside. Enjoyed the water shows, would have like to see more. The heaters outside kept us sufficiently warm and toasty. Everything we had was delicious. Generous on the crab legs and perfect. Dover Sole melted in my mouth. A little on the pricey side but the food and service is excellent.
Be the first to ReplyDress code and child policy not enforced.
We chose this restaurant because it was headlined by Wynn as having vegan options available. We also liked their dress code and โno children under fiveโ policy. We found it lacking on all three counts in that there was no vegan entree available (just one appetizer, one side, and a dessert,) there were at least 2 children under 5 in the restaurant, and there was no enforcement of the dress code. The vegan in our party ordered a salad without cheese as his entree. The other in our party enjoyed the Bronzino fish entree. The evening was enjoyable albeit somewhat marred by an adjacent party that were poorly dressed with foul language to match, and who let their toddler wander when he was bored. In normal times, the evening would have scored a 3, but we recognize that Las Vegas is still going through tough times due to covid and is having to comp a lot of rooms to fill up the town. The result is a lot of bad behavior that is difficult for everyone to manage.
Be the first to ReplyGreat sea food restaurant with scenic views
I was dining alone and asked to be seated near the lake so I had something to look at but there were no seats available unless I waited 30 minutes past my booking time. I sat in the restaurant but could not see the lake past the other diners which was a shame as there were three short shows while I was eating and I would have loved to see them all.
I was shown to a table near the kitchen area and the service I received was good. I ordered a glass of the house rose to accompany my meal. I specifically wanted lobster and asked about availability of the Maine lobster, but the server told me this would be a 2 ยฝ lb lobster which I would not have been able to eat. However there was a dish called โMaine Lobster Bakeโ which included a lobster tail, king crab claws, large shrimps, bacon, roast fennel, potatoes and garlic bread. I ordered this but the dish was huge, and I only managed about a third of it, however what I had was very good. The description on the menu did not mention samphire, but this lined the bottom of the metal dish the meal was served in and was tasty. The bacon was a very thick (at least 1โ) chunk of bacon which flavoured the seafood nicely.
Prior to my food appearing, a basket of breads was put on the table, and also an amuse bouche of tuna tartare served in a little cone. This was outstanding. I was also given some chocolate truffles at the end of the meal, which I had to covertly hide in my bag and eat later as I was very full. They were also very tasty!
I was mostly surrounded by couples or larger tables but this never bothers me, although it does draw some looks from other diners - I get the feeling they think solo female diners should go to the food courts or something, which is quite odd as Vegas gets a lot of solo travellers! All in all I had a lovely meal at Lakeside and would recommend it to anyone visiting the city, both for the quality of the food and service but also for the view of the Lake of Dreams. Itโs just a shame I did not get the view!
