Would be a regular if I lived in Singapore
Wonderful dishes including gluten free options. We were served curries I would love to be able to cook at home. Full of flavour, and suitable quantities. Will eat here again
Be the first to ReplyFantastic and authentic food. Pleasant service
Have been here several times and will be back. Fantastic food and very pleasant service. Help us choose dishes with good recommendations.
Be the first to ReplyUgh....
We were disappointed with this restaurant, although recommended by many guides, the portions are tiny, unlike the prices, which are not! The only positive thing is the welcome and the service but that is not everything far from it
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful Food, beautifully presented and so well explained.
This is an outstanding restaurant with the bustling area of Little India. We googled this first and it really stood out as being very authentic and definitely something a little different. Each dish was explained to us by the owner and what a wonderful guy he was. His named was (apologies for the spelling if I get it wrong), Kaesaeven or (K-Seven). They have owned this restaurant for 20 years and you can understand why it is so popular with tourists and locals alike. Both the owners spoke wonderful English and they recommended what we should eat, once we explained the type of Indian food we liked. He made us step outside our comfort zones with bursting flavours and combinations. A truly authentic experience of flavours. Highly, highly recommended.
Be the first to ReplyTasty Indian food but not feeling the Michelin star
We reserved based on their Michelin star. We were trying the various genres do food Singapore has to offer and tonightโs was Indian. The food (Flexatarian Bogi) was tasty but not super memorable. We sat upstairs on the floor for the air con. Special mention to the personable woman who greeted us and chatted with us about Singapore.
Be the first to ReplyBe careful of the bill and extras you did not ask for
I expected to give this review a 5 star but the experience was ruined by the tricks of the final bill. Throughout the meal we were offered several extra dishes โlet me give you this to tryโ and โ I have something extra for you.โ Also chai and dessert. We didnโt ask for any of the extras. We just thought the host was generous and wanting to please us on a quiet night. 5 extra items were added to the table without request and to our surprise. $193 SGD!!! For 2 people. I was speechless and walked out so disappointed. I was planning to recommend great food and a wonderful experience. Wish I had spoken out! What a trap!
Be the first to ReplyDisappointment and scam
This restaurant is really not representative of Indian cuisine which is generous and good. Indeed, the rations in the bowls are minimal for high prices. After reading the reviews, which mostly agreed on the value for money, we decided to try this restaurant. It was a total disappointment in terms of quality of dishes, quantities and prices. The only success was the nans but at 109.00 SGE (78.00 CHF) the nans are expensive because for the rest (2 tiny Samosas, 1 dry seekh kebab without chutney, 1 tasteless Butter Chicken, 1 Bhindi lengthened with tomatoes raw, 2 decent nans and finally a bowl of vegetable curry with 2 handfuls of vegetables. Given the quality and quantity of the dishes, it is not surprising that all the neighboring restaurants are full (mainly Hindus) and the Lagnaa with its handful of tables only has Westerners who had based themselves on the opinions of TripAdvisor. It was shameful...

The setting is not very inviting, the portions are small (unusual lack of generosity for an Indian) for a high price. Good but nothing more! Not worth the trip.
Be the first to ReplyDecent food but overall dining experience is sub par
Food is decent not great but the dining experience is a disappointment for the price. The ground floor level doesnโt at really look like a restaurant, no Aircon and to wash hands one has to go into the kitchen. The staff are sitting at the table next to you. Not ideal! Food quality decent, not remarkable but does not make up for the poor quality dining experience. The owner seems to rave about the quality but ignores the concept of full dining experience which the customer is paying the rowing for- just not food. I hope they can some something about the restaurant quality be overall experience.
Be the first to ReplyDonโt miss Lagnaa when in Singapore
Finger licking food with amazing service. We had chutney platter to start, then chicken tika masala (Chilli level 1.5/10) and mutton varuval (lamb) with a โrice with yoghurtโ (not in the menu) that neutralices the spicy flavor if you donโt like it. Well deserve Michelin stars for some many years. When in Singapore donโt miss it!!!!
Be the first to ReplyLovely place to eat great host
The set meal for two was fabulous why did we find this place on our last day. The place was welcoming and spotless. The food cooked by a staff who new their art wish I could go back 10/10
Be the first to ReplyVery Nice owner, tiny overpriced food
Pictures look cool , I usually have the skill to identify good places, this time it wasn't wrong but very disappointing. Hospitality was welcoming , place has cool design , the idea of the spiciness challenge is nice but , I came to eat and the dishes were tiny ones and over priced . I paid 100 SGD for solo lunch. I think that for this price you can have lunch for four just around the corner. Maybe the price is not for the food but for logo ...
Be the first to ReplyIndian food at its best!
We ordered the Michelin Set dinner for 2. There are 3 options- we got the largest and were so glad. Six dishes - and not huge portions so this is a good choice for 2 diners. Each dish was a mouthful of delightfully , nuanced, deftly seasoned Indian food representing cuisines from different parts of India (as explained to us by the delightful and attentive hostess Kumari (please forgive the spelling). Each dish was incredibly delicious. I especially liked the butter chicken, my husband loved the lamb. Donโt eat too quickly, take time to savor and enjoy. Accompaniments were basmati rice and saffron rice and Indian flatbread. Excellent. We then had Masala tea and Alva ( a very special sweet wheat pudding that takes 4 days to make ), which was perfect. We ate upstairs where you sit barefoot on floor cushions around your table. Just fun! Chef came out to greet us. All said, a great, and affordable dinner deserving of its Michelin ranking.
Be the first to ReplyCurry Heaven
This isnโt my first disco when it comes to Indian food. I have been eating it regularly for over 40 years and can also cook authentic curries (even if I say so myself๐บ). I have to say that this small restaurant in Little India is up there with the best Indian food I have ever eaten. You can choose your heat preference from a scale of 1 to 10. I hadnโt left the toilet roll in the fridge at the hotel so opted for number 4. This was about perfect for me but I would say that this was at least vindaloo strength back home. Let that be warning to you. The owners are lovely people and happily recommended different dishes and drinks that we had never tried before. You must try the ginger pickle it is sublime. At the end of a lovely experience we were given a number of boxes of different spices to take home which was a nice touch. Guess the chef recognised my culinary talents๐

After visiting the Indian restaurant Lagnaa, I was left feeling slightly disappointed. The staff were friendly and accommodating, however the food itself was mediocre at best and ridiculously overpriced too. Portion sizes were small by comparison to similar restaurants in the same area, which only added to my dismay. Although I usually avoid writing negative reviews, I felt obligated to provide a fair warning for any potential diners before having the same experience as myself. Despite offering a wide range of dishes on their menu, all of the ones tried lacked any real flavor or originality - nothing truly stood out as being superior. To conclude, if you are looking for a fair value dining option with good quality food then Lagnaa is probably not the place for you. While the staff were friendly and courteous the food simply does not live up to its prices or expectations - so if you do decide to visit here make sure you know what you're getting yourself into. 1/5 stars given with heavy hesitation.
Be the first to ReplyExceptional food and service!
Very friendly and accommodating staff. It was my friend's birthday and since she was a vegan, we wanted to give a try to Lagnaa for a change since its been given a Michelin award and the barefoot dining was something I was particularly looking out for that no other restaurants in Little India offers. My friends and I were absolutely mind blown with the services provided and the food tastes amazing. It was an impromptu birthday celebration and the staffs of Lagnaa immediately made something out of nothing in a form of a dessert and served us with a candle. We were so touched by the service provided and honestly this restaurant offers nothing but a rustic and homely feeling. I strongly encourage many who have not tried Lagnaa, please do so, as its definite worth the travel to the restaurant because of the food and the service which you wouldn't want to give it a miss.
Be the first to ReplyAn absolute gem of a place
Just loved the food and the people hear, wish we could have spent longer. We are big curry fans and this was divine. We had several of the vegetarian dishes but would have happily eaten anything t from the menu
Be the first to ReplyFriendly family type place
Very friendly staff. Staff very helpful in making menu selectionโs. The lady at the counter even gave me sparklers as I was leaving the restaurant to celebrate Diwali Food was very tasty and location was easy to get to The lemonade drink was the best
Be the first to ReplyWould eat again Indian rstn
Would come again restaurant Even though they provide a 30% discount for takeaway, I was too lazy to go out so I have decided to order from their platform directly. I was in a "WANT-TO-EAT everything" mood so ended up ordering quite a fair bit of items. I did not manage to finish the food (i would be surprised if I did) so keeping them for my bento lunch this upcoming week. Order was submitted at around 1055am and food arrived at noon. My food came with some gifts!!! So nice to receive flower (at all times) and sparklers. Thank you Lagnaa Team :) :) :) I loved the fact that they put the samosa and naan in paper papers without sealing them, leaving enough ventilation for them to stay crispy and fresh. 1. Samosa Ohhhhh, this one look small and harmless but is filled with ingredients to the fullest. And the crust!!! Ohhhh, i do not know how to describe, it is like crispy yet very soft and delicate like baby (is that even the right description??) I need to go spy to see how this crust is done!!! And fun forget the soul dip - the mint chutney. it is like the samosa elope with the chutney. 2. Sheek Kebab I am always very wary when ordering this dish. Had eaten from a few other Indian restaurants and the mutton smell was always too strong for me to take a second bite. But this one, hmmm. where is the mutton???? I examined it up and down, inside out, it did not taste like it has mutton in it at all. I totally loved it. And before i knew it, all the kebab has ran into my my tummy 3. Chicken Tikka My all time favorite. Juicy and tender. feel so bad eating it. but well, they went into my tummy anyway 4. Yellow Dhal Had a sudden craving for this. There was this buttery creaminess in this dish. 5. Dhal Makni Ohhh, I called this 3 beans dancing and fusing together. this is my all time favorite. I could eat a big bowl of its own. Love this. Except that this time it feels a little spicy. 6. Butter Chicken Even though this is the restaurant "must try" dish, i seldom order it cos it is not a spicy dish. I mean ignorant me always think Indian food should be spicy right? Not for this one, this one is creamy and I could easily eat it on its own or pair w naan. 7. Chocolate Naan Lagnaa, please make me the ambassador of this naan!! I totally love this. To be honest, i started and ended the meal with this naan. Once, i ordered 7 pieces takeaway. So you can see how much I love this. Now, I am a happy girl with a happy tummy on a Sunday afternoon Service
Be the first to ReplyOverpriced and under delivered
Really disappointed, over priced, substandard and below par. The food tasted average like very little flavour and the actual portion sizes great if youโve already had a whole meal somewhere else and just need a snack an hour later. We paid 111 for barely anything. I can confirm I will not be going there or ordering again. 5 tiny pieces of mutton in the $23 masala. Best thing weโre the 3 tiny samosas. Next time order from somewhere else. Price or references to Michelin doesnโt = good quality.
Be the first to ReplySimply the best Indian food anywhere
I have been coming to Lagnaa Barefoot for many years and without doubt, Kesevan and his team are excellent hosts providing the tastiest Indian curry you would ever encounter. From the warm welcome, to helpful suggestions on choices, Lagnaa is the place to go when in Singapore. For a spice newbie, level 1 or 2 is the go, or if you are well seasoned or adventurous, then 4 or up will enchant you.
Be the first to ReplyFabulous experience
Saw other reviews and decided if we were to eat in Little India it was the place to go. Good decision - family friendly, friendly atmosphere , good food and generally really nice. Tried the chilli challenge - L3. Next time L5. We had the non veg combination. All around great experience.

Lovely place, succulent food, super friendly staff. We were warmly welcome with a very nice surprise๐
We were super well advised on the various menus and we loved every dish๐
We will come back!
Great tastes great service
The food was really great. We went for one of the Michelin set menus and then added a few roti.
The tastes were really excellent. Flavorful yet not too spicy.
Service staff were 10/10... very attentive and helpful without being intrusive.
Highly recommend this.... not the cheapest but you have to pay for quality.
