23 Michelin stars. This place is simply unreal. Sleek, sophisticated, friendly and brilliant. Indulge in a simple but gorgeous dining experience. Omar's 4 course tasting menu was the best meal I have ever had, I had the privilege of telling him that personally when he visited our table over dessert. The gazpacho was the best soup I have ever had (I don't even fucking like gazpacho) perfect dish for the temperature of the day, brillar flavours and textures just insane. The lamb was succulent and absolutely breathtaking. The salmon was served on the most scintillating, savory and scrumptious bed of rice. This place is brilliant. If you're lucky, get a spot. It will change your life.

Great small restaurants a little off the beaten path, frequented by locals, for Cannes not sure what that means. Good quality food, prepared well. The spin is that the menu is a "surprise" pre fixe, everyone has the chez's choice of starter, de mer, de terre, dessert. Tonight it was shrimp gazpacho, salmon on bed of potato, veal on spinach, apricot custard. All terrific. We all cleared our plate.
Be the first to ReplyA hidden gem in the Cannes sea of restaurants.
Very interesting concept. A great easy going and creative chef!!!We will definitely go back!
Be the first to ReplyNice find!!! ย The surprise menu is a lot of fun.
Bit hard to choose the right wine but if you order by the glass there are very nice pairings. The dinner included a velvety soup course, fish course, meat course and desert. Everything was very well made by the chef with a beautiful presentation. It is a small restaurant and so the wait staff is very attentive. My hat goes off to the chef as the meat course was Scottish lamb. I would not have ordered lamb(as not on my favorites list) but if it was very well prepared and I quite enjoyed it. The surprise menu added a relaxing aspect to the evening as all responsibility was on the chef - and he deliver!

We left here thinking that THIS is exactly how an updated and modern French bistro should be. Even with a small staff, smallish kitchen and relatively small dining room, this place managed to put out BIG flavor...I don't always love a non-voluntary, prix fixe menu but it really seemed to work here. The highlights were a perfectly cooked local fish on purple rice and a very tasty dessert which we thought was a similarly perfect end to our meal.Add in a very efficient staff and nicely priced local wine and this place turned out to be exactly what we were hoping for... Not to be missed.

You feel that this restaurant is systematic. This restaurant only serves a surprise menu, that is, you will get four courses and not know what you are going to get other than the first one will be an appetizer, the second one will involve fish, the third one will involve a red meat, and the fourth will be a dessert. If you are not an adventurous eater or a foodie, this might deter you, but I hope it doesn't. Our first course was a mushroom soup that was one of the best we've ever had! In it, was a seared foie gras! Surprising! Our second course was a cod over zucchini mash that was probably the least interesting of our dishes. A little bit on the bland side. However, the next dish of slices of duck breast with sweet potato purรฉe with delicious. And the desert of milky rice pudding with fresh strawberries was something that I would love to re-create... Fun and fresh. I know many people who only eat at this restaurant when they come into town, and I can understand it. I would return. Any foodie's paradise!
Be the first to ReplyA great place.
. see my check in for the menu :) I would for sure recommend you to visit and I will come back. Price 45 euro for 4 course was also good. Service is great!

New chef in the footsteps of his predecessor. I want to keep it as a secret so I will have a table whenever I call ย Coming to Cannes since 1972 - and since I discovered it a few years ago- my absolute favorite.

Ate here a few weeks ago and liked it so much went back again for dinner the very next evening. ย Food was delicious and the service was excellent and friendly. ย They're amenable to your tastes - the menu is four surprise courses - so if there's something you don't like, tell them and they'll take it out. ย Definitely a place to visit when in town.

I love how unique the idea is! The fixed menu is a very good idea - although, it does have its problems (dietary requirements, preferences, etc) so having your menu chosen for you might not be the thing for you. I, however, thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were very friendly and hospitable and the service was efficient. The food was great but the portions are small for the price. It is expensive but it is up to you to decide whether that's worth the high quality of the food. Overall a good experience.

Excellent food - THE place to go in Cannes for a quiet, non-pretentious and yet excellent lunch/dinner. Impeccable service thanks to our great waiter David, and some of the best food I've had in France courtesy of Chef Bruno Gendarmes.
