Being a large group (18 people) we decide to book this restaurant for our trip to Monopoli. On the phone we were told that we were not obliged to choose the same menu for everyone but we could order à la carte. The day before the restaurant called us to confirm the reservation and denied what was mentioned above, probably we hadn't understood each other. The fact is that in the end we agree on the same dislikes for everyone and try to group the choice of first courses together. There were 8 starters, all different, refined and very good. Really recommended, among other things also abundant. The first courses were unfortunately very, very salty. Sin.. I would like to be able to return perhaps without a large group to be able to re-evaluate everything.
Good fish restaurant
Our party of two had an enjoyable meal at this predominately fish restaurant. For starters we had the mussels which were good and the tuna tartare which was very good tuna and fresh but not typical tartare….just good quality raw tuna that was cut in small chunks served with ginger and full salt soy sauce. For main courses we had some pasta which was good but nothing memorable. The people next to us had a fish stew which they raved about.
One of the few restaurants where I can say I paid little compared to what we ate.
The location is very beautiful, located on the Port of Monopoli a stone's throw from the historic center. The food is very good and the fish is very fresh. My partner and I did a sort of tasting and in order of liking we preferred: Gratinati, Mixed grill, Tartare, Cicatiello, Cavatelli. This ranking perfectly reflects what was said at the beginning: the fish is very fresh; in fact we really liked the more "natural" dishes and a little less the first courses which were influenced by a preparation that perhaps did not meet our tastes 100% (more than legitimate, we come from a different region, Campania, and on preparations similar between the two regions, our palates are probably used to a different "flavor"). Basically, having to choose, I suggest tasting the least elaborate starters and main courses possible also because, the only note I can make about the exquisite dinner, there was a little more salt in the preparations for our tastes. Last but not least, the price is really honest, the above mentioned + 1 water and 1 wine (priced at €28), we spent €100! Super recommended. P.S. I paid by card and I was NOT asked for any additional costs; I still left the few euros that I would have expected more reading the previous review as a tip for the excellent service.

03.19.2024, we surprisingly entered La Locanda sul Porto in Monopoli, the staff was courteous, attentive and helpful, the external environment was pleasant, fresh and bright, the dishes were presented very well, beautiful to the eye and tasty to the palate, congratulations . delicious desserts. (small note for the explanations of the dishes, a moment more slowly for non-local people) I will definitely return. Thank you and greetings.

It is with deep sadness that I have to give a negative review, especially in light of the fact that the food is excellent, impeccable service, excellent raw materials and above all excellent value for money! or rather, it depends on how you decide to pay! hahaha In fact I approach the cash register and the owner tells me: "25.00 euros!" I give him my card and he makes the payment. He detaches the receipt from the POS and.. "28.00 euros, in cash it would have cost 25.00, have a nice day!" A real shame to fall into these squalid maneuvers! I will happily return and will always pay by card! alas!
Everything Exquisite.
Saturday lunch in this beautiful restaurant on the port of Monopoli where fish dishes reign supreme. I think I ate the best grilled fish of my life. For my girlfriend, who is intolerant to fish, the waiters were very kind and prepared a first course just for her. If you come to Monopoli, stop here, it's really worth it.

Beautiful location on the port of Monopoli.
Very well kept restaurant on the port close to the historic center. I had never been there and it surprised me in a positive way in a Monopoli where everything has now become exasperated tourism. I ate very well, one dish particularly struck me, with cuttlefish tagliatelle on a bed of scapece courgette cream, with a touch of cuttlefish ink, with really good bottarga, oil and lemon. If I have to be honest, as soon as the opportunity arises, changing the cutlery is inconvenient because it always turns over in your fingers.

Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!

I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.

It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
