Very nice French atmosphere
We liked the look as we passed and stopped. They treated us excellently and we ate very well. Recommendable. It's not cheap, but the food is delicious and the service is excellent.
Be the first to ReplyTop notch service along with solid food from start to finish!
Our waiter Carlos provided personable service along with attention to our tempo (slow and chill) of dining. As a matter of fact, all service staff from the water service to the wine steward offering an outstanding 40 year old dessert wine (served table side in a huge decanter) were on point! Our entrees of beef bourguignon and pan seared scallops were also equally on point and delicious. The atmosphere is lively and very much a French brasserie kind of feel. Casual and relaxed. Definitely worth a visit!

Beautiful place, but horrible food that is grossly overpriced. My experience was on Christmas day, and the food was similar to a banquet hall. The turkey roulade was dry and tasteless. The venison was tough and unappetizing. The total cost for 3 was almost $700. I don’t mind paying for a special meal, but this was not even close to special. Never again.
Be the first to ReplyGreat snack lunch. Will return for dinner
Just wanted a light late lunch. Table service was closing. Directed to bar where we had some onion soup and ahi tuna. WOW!. Bar service was great. Both dishes were exceptional. Very best onion soup we've ever had. Needed a knife to cut the cheese that covered the bowl . The tuna dish was quite large and had seasonings and little crunchies that perked up the sometimes wallowing tuna. Highly recommend

Excellent food and service. The restaurant has an environment of a typical French restaurant and it is located in a charming corner of Palm Beach. The staff is very well trained and cordial. If you are visiting the restaurant, I recommend that you taste the spécialité de la maison: Le Soufflé Au Fromage. Also, don’t miss the Escargots de Bourgogne, Confit du Canard, and the Branzino En Crouteau Four A Bois. Finish the dinner with the Crème Brûlée or Profiteroles. Violà!
Be the first to ReplyGreat place for a special evening out
We had wonderful dinner with excellent service. Highly recommend the scallops for an entree. The soufflé was good, but our expectations may have been too high. Overall a great experience.
Be the first to ReplyGreat Sunday Brunch
Darling spot on County Road in Palm Beach. Brunch was excellent. The selection was very good:breakfast on the front of the menu and lunch on the back. Wine was pricey. Service was excellent. Food was very good but a bit too salty for me. Expensive.
Be the first to ReplyVicyssise is not to be missed!
Lovely experience. Staeted with champagne and la vie en rose cocktail which was a tad sweet for my taste, but im in the minority im sure as i dont have a sweet tooth. We had the soufflé with Sierra. salad. But best of all was the vicycoisse soup. Don't miss it!

Neither the food nor the service was worth the price. Maker's Mark "Neat" @ $35+? Seriously? Was the regular chef on vacation? No idea. Tuna Appetizer was good. We will not go back.

Exquisite from start to finish. Fantastically garlicky escargot. Enjoyed the NY strip steak with pleny of bearnaise. Duck confit got good reviews. Highlight: tarte tatin . Fine, pleasant, speedy service. Complementary valet parking. Tables are somewhat close together, so you may get a chance to make some new friends.

Had been looking forward to visiting this location for about two years, since our first visit to Palm Beach. The ambience is definitely French bistro, and the restaurant sits on the corner of too busy streets, and into its allure. THE FOOD The food is excellent and on par with the high quality French restaurant .. . We were more impressed with the appetizers, than our main course: mussels, tuna tartare, escargot, cheese soufflé The coq au vin, which was the server's recommendation, was not to our liking -- maybe it was the egg noodles? THE SERVICE Regrettably, our server was not very attentive and only offered cursory explanation of dishes and specials (maybe his style or a lack of training) -- a real miss for this upscale dining. Also note that outdoor tables will have a more intimate dining experience than the lively indoors ... though our table (at the back edge of the outdoors by the kitchen turn in) seemed more like Siberia, as we watched many people pass, but never our waiter with a hint of service.

As it was late for lunch we had to sit at the bar but we were offered an excellent menu ...bisque de homard and onion soup and very suprised to see the generous pieces of lobster in the bisque as well as the tasty amount of gruyere cheese on my soup . The service was polite and friendly at the same time so we must try to come on time for a whole meal at the restaurant tables next time , but as a sampler it was remarkably french!
Be the first to ReplyFrench Decor with delicious food and great Service
We arrived and were warmly greeted by our host. We were 30 minutes early for our reservation and was waiting for our guest. We had a wonderful glass of wine by the bar- good selection of wines by the glass. When our guest arrived we were promptly seated and ad delicious food and wine. Our server was excellent. My wife at escargot- delicious - and I had a beet salad, also good. The special of the night was prime rib- delicious- and my wife had a bran Zion- good but a little too salty. Decor is fabulous and a nice feel , like being in Paris at a wonderful bistro. Highly recommend if you are in palm beach.

Unfortunately, I can't give to this restaurant more than 5 stars. The food is out of this world, from the moment you enter the place you are transported to another world, the aroma assures you that the evening will be wonderful. The service is impeccable, the wine menu is great, and the sommelier's expertise makes it much better. Perfect for a romantic evening, for friends, or for business. In terms of food the souffle it's a must. The pasta with rooster, linguine with lobster, the Crepes Susette!!! Perfect to enjoy with a special company. The sommelier and the waiter service with a impressive knowledge made our time unforgettable. I would come back a thousand times more.

We were treated with disdain and absolutely no respect both by the waiter, the chef and the manager. Our appetizers were perfect. BUT my main course was not what I asked for. I was very clear when I ordered my salmon that I DID not want the tail. I requested a center cut well done. Please note that is exactly what I’ve ordered here in the past and the chef made it for me . The waiter brought out my meal and it was the tail. When I questioned him he told me that the chef (in spite of my request)decided to make me the tail because it was easier to make it well done . The waiter acted very detached and annoyed that I even dared to express my discontent with the fish. He clearly did not have any intention of rectifying the situation. He actually should not have briothae fish out to me as it wasn’t what I’d asked for. So I asked to speak to the manager who promptly came over(he actually seemed eager to have a disagreement with us)and gave us the cold shoulder. He made no attempt to apologize and it was obvious he was not interested at all in making it right. I said to him you’re not going to make this right are you and he just stared at me with a look of disgust on his face. He even went so far as to cause my husband and I of causing trouble every time we’ve come in which is not true. We’ve had 2 wonderful meals there recently and have never asked to have our food redone. I do recall we asked to have a different table in October but I can’t imagine that caused any trouble. The truth is the manager definitely had an attitude and I almost feel like it was a set up to create a scene. The waiter , the chef and the manager all blatantly ignored the request of a patron as to a food preference. My husband and I were shocked as we loved this restaurant . Not very classy behavior.
Be the first to ReplyComedy of errors
Big fan of NYC venue. Excited to take family to Palm Beach outfit. While server was charming - food delivery was a comedy of errors which ruined the experience. My starter and main came at same time. My daughter’s burger came with cheese despite asking for without. Broccoli side order failed to appear. Escargot appetiser initially failed to appear. When chased for, came, only to be luke warm. With exception of last one - all petty complaints…at a Denny’s. At a top, elite restaurant, unacceptable. Called for manager. After waiting some time was greeted by “Xavier” who downplayed my complaints but did apologise…muttering as he left that he would “make this right”. Wasn’t looking for a free meal - just a well delivered one. In the end I got neither. Best Xavier could manage was to refund the warm escargot that we’d only eaten 1 of 6 from. Bravo. Even Appleby’s would have treated us to a free desert to say “sorry”. Have informed hotel concierge and as this was the only poor meal we’ve had after a week of exceptional food and service in Palm Beach will be advising friends and colleagues to give this one a miss. Come on Goulou. You can do better than this.

The ambience and service were both excellent. I had escargot and steak au poivre. And, although the escargot was not as good as I have had, the steak was excellent. Overall, it was a wonderful dining experience that I would definitely repeat.
Be the first to ReplyHIGH HOPES DASHED
High Hopes Dashed, La Goulue Palm Beach is not New York Our favorite NYC restaurant of twenty-five years opens in Palm Beach. My sympathies go out to them, opening during covid, and now resolved legal issues with a suspect investor, two years in Palm Beach and they just cannot get it together. The location, appearance, and menu are all on par, unfortunately the very attractive and articulate wait staff can’t function in that capacity. Once the first course has been served the service is somewhere between mediocre and non-existent . On one visit my guest raved about the sea bass, everything else was great in name only, thought we were in France until we tasted the food, every dish was weak, either no flavor or extreme. The frites are worth the visit, if only one could get away with an entire dinner of potatoes. After three visits, we must take a break and give them time to regroup. Till then its dreams of frites and vin.
Be the first to ReplyA Very Pleasant Experience
We're early diners but found we weren't the first to be seated at 5:00 PM! We preferred to eat outdoors but found that the tables are on the side, literally right next to the street at the light. As the restaurant wasn't crowded at this hour, the hostess was happy to accommodate our request to be seated away from other diners. Service was excellent. We both ordered from the Summer menu and were really pleased with the food and the presentation. The duck breasts were perfect and the lobster encroute was superb! The creme brulee was as good an any we've had in France and the Lemon Tarte with blueberry sorbet was very tasty. The price fixe summer menu is very reasonable. We look forward to returning. We were warned that it could get very noisy when crowded but we were early enough that noise wasn't an issue.

Excellent food and service. I've tried almost the whole menu through the years and never disappointed.
Be the first to ReplyA great French restaurant with lovely ambiance
Outdoors lovely and indoors stunning. Soufflé, amazing mahi Mahi, ratatouille and French onion soup. Just lovely! Homemade vanilla ice cream was a dream.

Great location in palm beach, not far from our hotel (the breakers) good ambiance, fast service , inside or outside tables. We tried the Soufflé, escargots and it was excellent.
Be the first to ReplyPoor from start to finish
On arrival we were greeted by the maitre d who informed us that we had the nicest of tables, in fact it was a banquet and it was her favourite table in the restaurant. She obviously likes to sit on her own in the furthest corner of the empty side of the restaurant next to the toilets, we dont. The other side of the restaurant was busy and obviously where everone else wants to sit. We asked to move which in fairnest after 5 minutes we had a nice table on the right hand side of the restaurant.Next time, she informed we had to request a table on that side, I stated it was our first time at the restaurant , i felt she had pity for us. Alarm bells always ring when some one tells you that you are getting the their favourite table, a form of reverse psychology!! We move onto dinner, my wife orders the speciality of the house the cheese souffle which has been on the menu since 1972. It was dry as if there was too much flour, the flavour was Ok but not amazing. I ordered a dozen snails, which came as six, I left it at that and shared some souffle. The mains were very disappointing, my wife ordered the Moules Mariniere and I had the Salmon in Yuzu. The mussels were so small and overcooked, dry and uneatable. The Salmon was equally overcooked even thoughI had asked for it to be cooked medium. The waitress removed the mussels from the bill which was the right thing to do. You cannot compare this French Bistro to any of the top Parisian offers such as Voltaire,Poule au Pot , Benoit and many others. Needless to say we wont get the chance to request a table on the right side of the restaurant!!
