Very good food and the portions were just right. The atmosphere was nice and the service good. The server had good knowledge of the different wine's.

Wonderful restaurant. We were made to feel very welcome from the start. Our waiter was very polite, attentive and helpful. He guided us through some Polish aperitifs and wine. Wonderful atmosphere and great food, with a good choice of meat and fish dishes and also some vegeterian options. Best apple pie ever!

Fantastic culinary experience. Good service We would come again another time. Finally got a taste of dumping and they can be recommended
Be the first to ReplyGreat kitchen!
Beautiful, relaxed shop. Neat food, polite staff, prices a bit "bitchy". Central location, easy to find!
Be the first to ReplyGreat restaurant for traditional Polish cuisine
I chose this restaurant because I wanted to taste traditional Polish cuisine. I ordered the pierogi with cottage cheese and the slow cooked beef. Both were superb. I went again on another day and had the goats cheese salad and the only main course fish item on the menu. I preferred the beef to be honest. The items served with both main courses were a bit tepid, other than that everything tasted good and the service was also very good. Would like to visit again when back in Krakow.

Wonderful restaurant, Great food and wine. Booked for the family and all enjoyed the experience. Reasonable prices and some great local dishes.
Be the first to ReplyUnremarkable
Lured by a Michelin recommendation and a promise of authentic Polish food, I was looking forward to dining at Kogel Mogel. I selected three dishes, two of which were touted as the restaurant's specialties. The first signature dish, goose liver pâté served with cherry gel, hazelnut, Maldon salt, and caramelized brioche, was very good. However, the taste of hazelnuts did not come across enough, and the ratio of pâté to brioche was off. A few more slices or additional toast on the side would have enhanced the experience of the dish. The second signature dish, Dumplings with minced veal, chanterelle sauce, was fell short in flavor. Despite the beautiful presentation, the dish did not live to its promise. It lacked taste. The lamb loin served with smoked cauliflower purée and demi glace sauce was a mixed experience. The meat was a tad too salty and reminded me of the taste of processed canned pork and ham known as SPAM. However, the smoked cauliflower purée was a revelation and truly outstanding. When a purée outshines the meat in a Michelin-recommended restaurant, it suggests that there is a room for improvement.

One of the best restaurants serving modern Polish cuisine. The food tasted absolutely amazing, especially homemade pierogi with mince veal. We have tried pierogi before with different fillings but these were by far the best we have had! If you like a good steak you must try the beef tenderloin steak - it was cooked to perfection! Great meat quality too! The service was absolutely amazing! Our waiter was really attentive, nothing was too much to ask! We can truly recommend this place!

Absolutely fantastic experience. Our waiter was lovely, very friendly, chatted to us about his stay in Warrington, and waved at us as we walked past the next day. The food was amazing, beautifully presented and delicious. Highly reccommend.

We enjoyed this restaurant so much that we returned for three evenings in a row. Pleasant service, food that is both classic and innovative, and a splendid setting.
Be the first to ReplyDisappointing
This restaurant was recommended by our hotel and booked to celebrate a birthday. The food was nice, but nothing special. The wine list was extortionate. This is a venue for wining and dining business clients rather than a night out for couples. The waiting staff were inattentive and could be seen behind scenes eating and chatting rather than looking after diners. We had much better meals for half the price.

Recommended by the hotel, Michelin star!! Fabulous place and not over priced or over ostentatious. We wanted traditional food so asked waiter for advice. From that moment we just let him decide our menu and drinks for the evening. Absolutely nothing to fault from starters through to dessert. Stater of goose and tartar, specially prepared mix of pierogi for 4 next. Pierogi are fab and full of flavour. Mains were duck and beef tenderloin, cooked perfectly. All washed down with a selection of polish drinks. If you visit krakow, visit kogel mogel, you won’t be disappointed.
Be the first to ReplyElegant restaurant with excellent food and wines.
My friend and I enjoyed a wonderful meal here on a weekend trip to Krakow. We sat in the front part of the restaurant at a window table which was a nice spot. The waiter was friendly and attentive, recommending us a lovely bottle of wine to accompany our meal. We had main courses and desserts, all of which were fantastic. Beef cheeks particularly good, tender and perfectly seasoned. Next time I visit Krakow I would definitely like to return here.

Amazing food, great ambience and attentive, professional waiting staff. Would definitely recommend booking here if visiting krakow!
Be the first to ReplyClassic outstanding Polish cuisine.
An extensive menu with wines most people won’t know but the wait team know everything. This is classic Polish food so pirogues and Zander were the order for the day. Excellent cooking and presentation. Just off the main square so easy to find.
Be the first to ReplyQuality and good service
We had so much luck with us, that they has a table for us, even tho we hadn’t reserved. We got placed at a nice table. We got the tartar and half duck. It was SO good! The wine was perfect for the food. The service was really great! Hope to come there again, I would definitely recommend it, if you like quality food and good service.
Be the first to ReplyGreat dining experience at a reasonable price
One of the best dining experiences I’ve had. Setting is lovely, service was perfectly attentive and food was beautiful. Special mention again for the service, it was spot on and all of this for the price was very reasonable (~£40 per head for 3 courses, wine and coffee). Apple pie was the best I’ve had.
Be the first to ReplyOMG, I've died and gone to heaven ❤️❤️
We had a recommendation to come here, and SO glad we did. The beetroot soup is just off the scale nice, (ask for bread with it). Also the veal Perogi. I always know when I'm wowed - I put my fork down between mouthfuls. EVERY TIME with those two dishes! Also, their traditional egg sweet with fruit. Staff great, friendly and no tricks with pushing items you didn't order, but cost extra. Thanks ❤️
Be the first to ReplyDelicious and varied table for the New Year
It was dinner on New Year's Eve. The menu was chosen in advance, so there was no need to choose anything on the spot and you could enjoy the atmosphere of the holiday. All meals were delicious. And some are even interesting. Very pleasant fresh beef tartare, no new taste emotions, but the quality did not disappoint me either. The goose pâté in my opinion had a slightly more liver flavor than I would have liked, I thought it would be something like foie gras, but no. The delicate creamy artichoke soup was perfect, the taste balanced between creamy pumpkin soup and broccoli. Lemon sorbet with vodka mint syrup was very well served before the main course, it was not too sweet and I was pleased with it. But the main dish of the evening disappointed me! The meat was soft and not dry, but it was also not juicy, as if it was made in sous vide. And the demiglace sauce was inexpressive and, in general, the dish seemed rather faded to me. The dark chocolate dessert with a delicate blackcurrant filling was delicious, not too sweet with the perfect combination of dark chocolate and berry filling. In general - all the dishes were of good quality, something a little less bright, something a little more, but nonetheless. It is impossible not to note the work of the waiters - no complaints, only thanks! A place worthy of its fairly high place in the top restaurants in Krakow.

Excellent visit. Came for dinner from the UK. Great ambience and food. Highly recommend. Few mins walk from the square.
Be the first to ReplyAuthentic Polish Haute Cuisine in Old Town
This is located right inside the Old Town walls, around the corner from Hotel Grodek. It has one or 2 Michelin stars and is well worth the visit. This was the best meal we had in Poland and top 2 of our 2 week adventure in Eastern Europe. The ambiance is lovely but the food was outstanding! Our darling waitress made our dinner even more memorable and delightful. see the dishes we enjoyed and make a reservation!
Be the first to ReplyAbsolutely Amazing
Randomly decided to come here on our first night in Krakow and did not regret the decision one bit.
Service was attentive and our host recommended the local Cuvee Regis wine to try, amazing and super smooth.
The croquette was delicious and a nice portion, the beetroot soup however was not to our taste.
Would also recommend the beef cheeks, tender and well cooked and a good hearty portion.
Would recommend to all visiting Krakow.
A 1 !
We dined here on our first evening in Krakow and it set the standard for all other restaurants we visited.
The Polish cuisine at Kogel Mogel is served with a modern twist, thus making it somewhat lighter, but all dishes were excellent.
Ambiance is charming, service super [the sommelier deserves a pay rise] and the wine list extensive.
In hindsight I wish we had eaten here every day ...
