Klaw Miami Reviews from The Last Year
5 stars for the happy hour, 4 stars for dining! The happy
5 stars for the happy hour, 4 stars for dining! The happy hour is located on the roof top of the building with an amazing view of the bay. We messed up a bit because we booked a table for dinner at 6:30 but didn't reserve for happy hour and just showed up to sit at the bar which was indoors. Definitely book a table for happy hour so you can enjoy the view! Anyway so we got there about 5:15 on a Friday and it was already popping! We managed to get a seat at the bar but by the team we were leaving it was completely full and people were standing around waiting for others to leave. Vibe is super lively with a DJ playing music. Happy hour consists of several cocktails, wine, beer and some food options. At 6:30, we went downstairs for our dinner reservation. It was DEAD. The dining room was huge and there was maybe 1 other table of people eating. I guess 6:30 is early for dinner, but I would have expected more people especially on a Friday. Even by the team we were wrapping up at 7:30, only 1 or 2 more parties had showed up. The waiter was friendly, the food was good. We ordered scallops, a Chateaubriand steak and a side of Japanese eggplant to share, which I actually really really enjoyed. Overall, we are excited to come back for happy hour seated outside as it seems like this is more a place for afternoon drinks!
Klaw delivers a GREAT dining experience in Miami.
It's fun and over the top, but the food (especially the Norwegian king crab) is delicious. Whenever I have people in from out of town, I look forward to taking them here. If people want to get a flavor of Miami and have great food, Klaw is a great option. Our table for 4 had the coal fired scallops and grilled giant prawns for appetizers. Then we had a 6lb crab, then shared the Angus Porterhouse with mushrooms and fries. They bring he crab out ahead of time so you can see it which is pretty neat. Fantastic meal. Would highly recommend for scene + great food.
Another scam in Miami.
If you come here, don't make the mistake of going to the bar on the top while you "wait for your table". Aside from being here 10 minutes before my reservation, we were told our table wasn't ready yet. Okay. So we go up, and I had to ask multiple times when our table would be ready. We're now 15 mins past our reservation time and they tell us it's now ready. We go downstairs and there's one table with people at it. The place is empty and it opened one hour ago. Why did you make us wait? So you could try and upsell me on some bs appetizers and drinks that's why. Then we actually sit and the waiter is not very attentive. I was a bit confused about that because I was pretty sure we were shelling out some good money for some good service. Yeahhh there's a 20% service charge. Make sure you read the fine print at the bottom of the menu. Does this mean that we should get lousy service? Unfortunately in every scenario where this is the case, yes. Its offers zero incentive for the wait staff to give any care to the customer when they're already getting tipped/sharing the tips. Then the food itself is really nothing to write home about. Except I did. I told my friends and family already to avoid this place. Now I'm telling you all. The steak is mediocre for what you're paying and what you should be getting. I swear I could go to Eddie v's and not only would the steak be more flavorful, but the sides would be good. The fries were bland and the carrots were the most flavorful thing and yet just didn't go with any dish. The place is a gimmick with their scenery, but it's really just another Miami hustle. Just go to Madrono for crying out loud. It's better in every aspect. Now if you're someone who genuinely enjoys something like klaw because you've bought into the bougie Miami scene, then don't go to madrono plz lol.
LOVE! 5/5 across the board.
We came here on a Tuesday for a co-workers birthday and I'm so glad because I've been wanting to cross this off my list (but not on my dime). We started upstairs at the rooftop bar where we ordered these cute lobster puffs, deviled eggs & a glass of Rosè. The lobster was delightful (but I must say that I believe I had an allergic reaction) and the Rosè was crisp. We had a great view of the bay and great weather so it provided for a picturesque moment For dinner, we moved to the 4th floor and the interior was very inviting. Reminded me of the Miami I've seen in the 'older' movies. We were seated in a cozy spot near the window. Our server Nico was very knowledgeable and patient as he explained the menu and meat selections. We were surprised with a complimentary bottle of Rosè (this was recommended to us by another team member - so glad to see they took care of us). Since everything was shareable, we had a little bit of everything. 10/10. From the delicious cuisine to the service. My fav was the seabass, beef tartare and the Yuzu pie for dessert! Each dish had a distinctive flavor and for a table of 5, we cleaned the plates. This is a perfect spot for birthdays, after work or a night out. I will definitely be returning
The ambiance is the best.
Great rooftop vibe. Happy hour is decent, make sure to order all before 7pm or you'll end up spending your mortgage. Food is ok, I've paid less for better. Bartenders were aces.
The service was good, the food xoxo overall decent

Way way too overpriced for the quality.
Absolutely never coming back or recommending this place to anyone. To pay For 1 tuna which have 4 slices, 1 sparkling water, half a dozen of tiny oysters and 2 crab legs the bill was 400 dollars. That's crazy specially for the quality of it and the amount. The only good part of this place is the view but that's it. Not worth the price at all. Menu has very poor selection of food. Brunch have only eggs. While seating and looking at the menu few different waiters tried to sell us steaks from downstairs ( considering that we are coming to the seafood place not the steakhouse ) and steaks from downstairs restaurant which have bad reviews but once again steaks start at 190 lol Very disappointed and left hungry. Zuma is way way better as far as quality of food, view and their service. Never disappointed Klaw you should do better for the view you have !
If you are willing the pay just for the view go for it
If you are willing the pay just for the view go for it Quality of food, service and amount of food is not worth it. If someone is willing to pay 400 dollars just for 1 bottle of water, half a dozen of tiny oysters, with concentrated lemon juice as they call leche de Tigre lol And 4 slices of tasteless tuna slices That absolutely a rip off Klaw you should do better !!!! They're are much better places as Zuma , Osaka and others which are best view quality and service! Will never go back and will never ever recommend to anyone unless you are willing to pay 400 just for a view The menu is very very poor. Brunch have nothing but eggs lol Different Waitresses tried to sell us multiple times their steaks from cassadona Imagine we come to eat at seafood place which have very poor menu and quality of food and they tried to sell the steaks from downstairs cassadona which have 3.4 stars reviews Klaw u should do better! Food sucks, quality sucks, amount of food and service sucks! Klaw do better! Terrible terrible terrible in everything Will never go back or recommend it to anybody

The service is top notch ! The entire staff is so kind and really funny. The drink of the week was easily the best drink I've ever had in my life I believe it was like an apple martini. The ambiance is very relaxing with a breathtaking view of the bay. The appetizers were also so good I would eat here everyday.
The place was beautiful, we ate outside under the stars.
Hostess was very lively and wait staff accommodating. However, we were TOTALLY misled by the description of the famous crab legs. We were told it was time of the season where the shells were thin making the meat thick and juicy. I ordered 40 oz as we were quite hungry and anxious to enjoy the Klaws. The waiter brought the crabs to a side table and began cutting the shells open, I could see immediately they were mushy and not intact as the meat should pull out evenly to be dipped in butter and enjoyed. Each of our servings had to be SPOONED out of the shell much like oatmeal - it was tasteless and of course impossible to "dip" in the melted butter. A total EXPENSIVE disappointment @$440. for the crab legs alone for a total bill for two $750. AND to make it a truly gouging experience, I ordered a gin martini dirty ($16.- not bad for Miami), but to add a line on the check upcharging me $4.00 for the "dirty" part is outrageous! I may go there again, but NOT for the now infamous crab Klaws AND I will bring my own "dirty" olive juice...

Food - overall experience was pleasant, especially for the king crab as it is prepared table side. The other items were not as impressive for the caliber of restaurant and the chef. Service - pretty standard
totally over priced, great service.
then I get a voucher for a future cocktail at the roof top. why wouldn't they give me one to have enjoyed that night after spending so much money? never went back, threw away the vouchers. there are many other places in Mia to enjoy that are not over priced.

I was in town for business and was craving seafood.
I walked over to Klaw and whew, what an experience! The 3lb lobster and steak fries were better than I had imagined. Perfect. Everything was perfect. Highly recommend!
There are very few restaurants that are certified to sell
There are very few restaurants that are certified to sell Kobe beef, the king crab is very sweet and one of their signatures, and the most recommended thing is their homemade truffle sauce, it goes really well with steak, and the king crab goes perfectly with this sauce. We even tried to buy a lot of it to take with us, but they sent us a lot of it straight away to send back to New York! Make sure you ask for it, they don't serve it directly! Having eaten at all the Steak houses in NYC this one must be totally superior! You have to try it when you go to Miami! It's a little high per person, but it's really worth it! If you don't like it come to me
the best but i mean bestttttttt king crab with garlic and
the best but i mean bestttttttt king crab with garlic and lemon butter out there! & the viewssss you can't beat great food with beautiful views! service was outstanding
Excellent place for Sunday brunch.
Located on the rooftop in an adorable building, Klaw has one of the best views in Miami. Parking is easy, they offer valet and there's plenty of street parking. We came for Sunday brunch. The dj was playing awesome tunes and the panoramic views can't be beat. We had a glass of rosé and shared the Norwegian crab legs to start. The crab legs are pricey but divine- sweet and succulent flavor!! We also shared the steak and egg whites. Honestly wouldn't get the steak again- would try something else. Would DEFINITELY order the crab legs again. The service is fast and friendly. I cant wait to come back for happy hour.
Fantastic and Fun Restaurant in the Bay!
Exceptional food quality, fun ambience, lovely views, and great service. The crab legs are not to be missed. The wine list is reasonable (we had a very good $65 alabrino). We arrived a little early and tried some of the happy hour bites - some of the best deviled eggs I’ve had and the crab grougeres were amazing!
We celebrated our anniversary there and they truly made it
We celebrated our anniversary there and they truly made it special! It's a beautiful space with gorgeous views! The rooftop has a beyond words scenery. One of the most interesting high-end menus, with an unbelievable wine list, with selection reflecting wines from allover the world not just France and California. Our Waiter and Sommelier were extremely attentive and knowledgeable! We were impressed with food quality and variety of sauces, creative dishes with exotic ingredients were all cooked to perfection. Sasha, the owner came out to chat with us and that special attention meant a lot to us!
Klaw: Beautiful restaurant, beautiful patrons and yummy
Klaw: Beautiful restaurant, beautiful patrons and yummy food! Parking: not easy and not a lot. I suggest you Uber! Drinks: a HUGE wine selection! Great selections from Europe, California and Australia! Food: Expensive - but you probably know that if you chose to dine here. We went for a special event so had a fixed menu that included 10 items served family style. Our favorites were: sake cured salmon, Japanese eggplant, charred bok choy and the black cod. Service: excellent. The staff stood around the large tables and observed the guests in case we raised our hands for assistance. They also anticipated our needs and refilled drinks and replenished food before we needed to ask. They were the essence of service with a smile. Atmosphere/vibe: this place is right on the shore and the breathtaking views are to die for. The upstairs platform offers dramatic views of the skyline! Inside was beautifully decorated. They even have a live harp player that was serenading us with her musical talents. Age group: all ages Bathroom: pretty boring and dated for such a fancy spot. Most importantly, the toilets worked! Dress: dress to impress. People are arriving via their private yachts so you get the idea! Return: yes but only for special occasions
Klaw is Fantastic!
Quite simply, one of the top restaurants in Miami. The quality of their products, the execution of the kitchen, the impeccable service, the beautiful ambiance, the attention to detail, all contributes to a fantastic dining experience. I was my first visit here, as a participant in a wine dinner. I was able to try a number of their specialties. As their name suggests, Crab is a feature. I have a love of King Crab, but they don't use Alaskan King Crab... they feature Norwegian King Crab. I've never had it before but I'm now a fan. The legs are smaller, but there's plenty of solid meat... the taste is fantastic, a bit more delicate than King Crab. Loved it! The 20 oz. Chateaubriand was one of the best steaks I've had in a long time. Perfectly cooked, amazing flavor on it's own, served with a fantastic Truffle Sauce and Peppercorn Sauce that I used sparingly, but they were so good it was hard to resist. The Dayboat Swordfish was excellent, but I just had a taste, preferring to remain focused on the Filet. Sides of Charred Baby Bok Choy and Roasted Wild Mushrooms were perfect accompaniments. To start, we enjoyed the Klaw Green Salad, Black Grouper Ceviche and the Stracciatella served with fantastic heirloom tomatoes. We finished with a sampler of desserts, of course excellent. Some may question the pricing here, but I believe it's fair considering the high costs of what they are providing. One look at the photos and you'll be hooked. Klaw is a gem that's not to be missed. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Culinary extravaganza !!!
Truly a Miami culinary attraction !!! Visit rooftop bar to pick your Norwegian King crab, have it brought “live” to your table, and then it is prepared table side. Service was impeccable, appetizer, entree, dessert & wine collection extraordinaire. Sommelier “Ennio Ciminelli” is the individual that you need to see…
Expensive but delicious
The king crab was excellent. The Chateaubriand was perfect. Truffle fries and sautéed mushrooms were delicious. And lastly the sommelier helped pick a fine wine. Atmosphere was stunning too. Cost? Well that’s up there too.
Klaw your way right past their seafood, and go straight for the steak.
Went w/ 2 life long friends who were as excited as I was to try this lightly touted restaurant. Wait staff was attentive and was pleasant. Drinks were amazing. I had a mojito, and my friend had a gin and tonic. Both expertly prepared. Server recommended the Alaskan King Crab Claws. We indulged w/ 2 orders to serve as our appetizer. Crab meat was stringy, bland and somewhat watery. What a disappointment! We then moved on to entrees. My friend ordered a steak, while his girlfriend and I ordered more non-descript seafood. When my friend. bit into his steak, he said w/ a straight face "this is the best steak I have even had in my life.." Although I don't eat steak, I tried it and it was absolutely outstanding. Perfectly cooked, and the meat simply melted in my mouth. This filet is TOP NOTCH. Had carrot cake for desert, which is almost like a baked souflee. Definitely a different taste. We also had the chocolate offering, which was quite good.
Exemplary
Arrived for Happy Hour at the 6th floor Rooftop. Our server gave us a detailed description of the Happy Hour menu. The food was delicious. Great views, amazing ambiance and staff that is super attentive. We had a great evening. Thank you.
Love it
Not cheap but for a special occasion it’s worth it in my opinion. The service , food quality and atmosphere are all top notch. It’s our third time coming here for the wagyu steak and we still love it. Other dishes I would recommend are the aubergine miso side , straciatella starter and chocolate mousse dessert
Smaller Crab leg in the world
It's not a good option. Everything tastes like lemon. We ordered Alaskan crab legs and in the cheapest supermarkets you can get better quality. Impossible skinnier. We returned it without testing it. The manager came to the table and tried to explain something basically impossible. That there were many legs because they were skinny. Do not play!!! 👎🏼 I now understand why the site is empty.
Nice
My experience was great, the service at the restaurant was amazing, profesional, the server was educated and super attentive, he was taking care about small details, everything clean, the price is hight, but it worths for it, at least for us. We went to the roof bar also, bartenders and all staff were great. We enjoy my birthday 🎂 🥳
Overpriced and meh
Do not waste your money!! Apps weren’t that good, neither was the steak. And we said it was a special occasion which they ignored. The upstairs was a great spot w super nice bartender service. Even tho the menu a lot more limited we should have just gone there.

Prepaid Reservation Fee

When you sell a reservation that has a prepaid fee AT takes a commission on that fee. This doesn’t really make sense because it’s an expense the seller incurs not part of the profit that is shared.
For example:
Carbone NYC fee to book table for 2 is $108.88
If you sell it for $200 on AT you get $140 from them.
Your net profit is $31 and AT collects $60 in fees.
It would make more sense not to charge commission on the upfront fee as this creates a disincentive and results in higher costs for buyers.

Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
