Disappointing
I came to Kjolle so excited to try a top restaurant. Others complain about the quick service between courses but I actually found the service quite enjoyable. And the creativity of the menu was very good. But, after enjoying tasting menus around the world, I’d have to say the food here was probably the worst of any tasting menu I’ve experienced. Mediocre at best. The only 2 courses I’d rate as “delicious” were the bread and beef rib. And several we didn’t even make an effort to finish the plate. We did the nonalcoholic pairing and several of those (the last 2 specifically) were downright undrinkable. For the price, I expected so much more. 5 for service and presentation, but overall a 3 since the food and value were quite poor.
A special restaurant.
We managed to get a reservation at this incredible restaurant. Because they use locally sourced products, I still am not certain what we ate. But it was all delicious, beautifully presented and special. A week after our visit, Kjolle was named the 16th best restaurant in the world. I never fully trust those lists, but Kjolle is definitely one of the most imaginative and unique restaurants in the world. Great service as well and the wine pairings are also unique and clever. For example, one pairing was cheese wine made with whey! And it worked.
Really not worth it, feel robbed
I feel robbed. The food was good but for sure not worth 250€. I went there expecting to pay aprox 100€ and while I was there I kept thinking that it wasn’t worth it, now imagine my surprise when I saw the final price of 250€ per person (with no cocktails or tasting). I don’t think the food was that good, it felt like a roller coaster of flavours, but not in a very good way. I felt overwhelmed at some moments and needed a break, but the dishes kept coming. Separating individually all of the 9 “moments” of the experience, I don’t feel like I tried anything that I haven’t tried already in the past. Also, the explanations of the “moments” were quite poor, just pointing out what was the main ingredient, but nothing much more elaborated or creative such as what was aimed with those ingredients. The place was very big and didn’t feel much cozy, it was too iluminated and when I entered the room it had a very strong smell of palo santo, which I didn’t appreciate combined with food. In conclusion, really disappointed on this experience, it’s not bad but for sure it doesn’t pay the price of +2000 PEN. Not worth it.
Food Poisoning - Be Advised
Our group unfortunately suffered from food poisoning after dining at Kjolle. When we reached out to management to let them know of our experience, we were informed that it was "not possible" to get food poisoning at their establishment. Be warned.
Second best restaurant in Lima
My little brother is in a wheelchair and with his wife and they accommodated everything and treated us like family. The service was impeccable, they were attentive and the whole experience was to die for! This is the same owner of the world, famous Central restaurant, which is situated next-door. We did the beverage pairing which were made local fruits and vegetables, nonalcoholic and just went well with every meal. Tomorrow we get to try the central restaurant and so excited!!
Full charge without dining !
I made a reservation at this restaurant and called more than 24 hours in advance to move the date to next day. The restaurant was not open for two dats after and hence I asked to cancel the reservation. Later they charged my $190 dollars for no show. Looks like the company taking the reservation and Restaurant has no connection or communication. The charge came from a “computer programming and design services” entity.
Beautiful interior, uneven food and service
Overall, we had a nice experience at Kjolle. The setting is beautiful, from the entry through the garden, up the staircase, and to the table. The interior is made of warm woods, and the vibe was peaceful. Service throughout the meal was okay--certainly not bad, but compared to other places of this caliber that we've visited, a little uncoordinated and sometimes a little cold. The food was plated beautifully, and the stoneware on which the food was served was gorgeous. The food itself ranged from excellent to only okay. The bread was excellent, as was a beautiful seafood dish with an herby broth and cucumber ribbons. Octopus was wonderful. A dish called "diversity of vegetables" that came with a fancy description ended up being a pretty average green salad. A vegetarian main was a flavorless disappointment. Given the restaurant's reputation, I expected the food to be more consistent.
One of the best meals we’ve ever had
Having tried most of the top 50 restaurants in Lima (past and present), we had moderate expectations. This is why we booked a la carte rather than tasting experience, to give us more flexibility. When we arrived, we were taken behind the gate where Central and Kjolle are located. To get to the house, you walk through the vegetable and herb garden and where some of the ingredients are smoked. Once at the restaurant, we were promptly taken to our table and given menus to peruse. Service was exceptional from the start, we were given recommendations for dishes to try and sommelier helped us match them with wine. Wine selection was very impressive, including per glass. We had 3 starters; seabass & clams, squash & crustaceans and catch of the day & sea urchin. The second starter in particular was exceptional (I am still thinking of how good it was!). We then ordered octopus tentacles and beef ribs for main and they were both delicious. We finished our meals with a special vintage of sweet French wine. The meal was fantastic, some of the dishes best we’ve ever had, great atmosphere and service second to none. We eat out a lot so it’s sometime hard to impress us but we left the restaurant feeling wow-ed. We look forward to Kjolle becoming no 1 restaurant in the world. It deserves it.
Exceptional experience, not just extraordinary food
Very nice restaurant - not just great food offerings but the ambiance and service are extraordinary. Perhaps one of the nicest restaurants I've eaten at. Dress code is fairly casual as there are a lot of tourists (no shorts, polo shirt is OK). The food was exceptional, the waiters were attentive and explained to us every meal. Truly great place. We also visited another restaurant in the 'Top 50 in the world' list and this one was a class better.
Best Restaurant in Peru, hands down!
Forget the other “top 50 restaurants” in Peru. This is the spot. Food was excellently crafted with each course complementing the next. We felt like a celebrity eating here with the staff being attentive but not intrusive. Every member was passionate about the restaurant and elevating your experience. I could not recommend a restaurant more highly. Each course was thoughtful, well balanced and worked together. Please eat here if you are in Lima. We ate at all the top restaurants in Peru and this was the only one that we are still talking about daily. Kjolle for number one!!!
Fantastic dinner
Unquestionably one of the great restaurants in the world. Food was awesome, not challenging or in need of an acquired taste, just fantastic. Service was fine dining without the stuffiness, young female sommelier has an exceptional pallet, my wife does not drink so I had glasses of vino with some dishes. My wife has a very specific diet she weights her food and does not eat certain foods, the chef (who is a superstar) accommodated her and told us when we come back let her know and she will cook a special meal for my wife. I know Central is now the #1 joint in the world but check out Kjolle. Shadow boxed with her kid, his got good hands. All in all one of the best meals I've ever had. Bravo Pia and your team!
Poor service and poor food
We were very excited to visit Kjolle due to its relationship with Central and a love of Peruvian cuisine and its diverse ingredients. Unfortunately, our experience did not match our expectations in any way. When we arrived the initial welcome was very exciting, we were led through the house and shown to our beautiful table. Following that, we were shown the menu and quickly given the first course (a bread course) which was quite tasty. However the next few courses were quite poor. The shrimp course was heavily overcooked with the shrimp being rubbery and the sea bass course being incredibly salty. Additionally, the service for such a high end restaurant was very poor. The courses came out so fast we had no chance to enjoy our dinner, and nobody was refilling our water glasses. All in all a very disappointing experience.
Beautiful meal to experience Peru
We went for dinner, my wife and I had the experience and the kids ordered a la carte. It was honestly one of the best meals I've ever had. I'm not a fan of squid but the squid dish was perhaps my favourite bite I've enjoyed in years. The service was wonderful, the staff super friendly and knowledgable. Excellent meal and would happily dine there again.
Stunning food
Amazing meal. We loved the ambience and the staff is so nice without the stuffy atmosphere of a Michelin restaurant. One of the best meals of my life. Very similar to central. We went for lunch and it was the perfect amount of time. I didn't feel rushed but I wasn't bored bc the meal didn't drag on.

Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

Yes unfortunately they are finding more and more ways to lock up sellers money. Sell thru rate, refund rate, limiting withdrawal amounts ler day and per month (which for me are the same number which makes no sense). Lot of sellers leaving as you can see from the lifetime sales not really increasing. Most posts on here are frustrated sellers which is not a recipe for success
