This is the spot! Kind staff.
Wonderful ambience. And the food? My word, it's the best Chinese food in Brooklyn. The Soup Dumplings are worth the trip alone. But go for the dumplings and stay for everything else. It always hits! Everything is family style, which allows you to really get a taste of a few dishes. I always keep a favorite and try a couple of new ones each trip!
Be the first to ReplyThis place is gooooood and my photo does not do it justice.
It has a divey feel and quirky layout, and I loved every second of it. The food was fabulous (though salty!) - we got shrimp toasts, pork soup dumplings, the pork ribs, cold sesame noodles, scallion pancakes, beans, and general Tso's. The soup dumplings and the ribs were the highlights, but everything was hot (or correctly cold in the case of the noodles) and delicious. Service was friendly and very attentive. Would go back here in a heartbeat.
Be the first to ReplyDelicious meal with four friends on the Heated Back Patio.
It was 50 degrees outside and I was worried that it wouldn't be warm enough, but I ended up taking off my coat! All the food was great. Though the highlight for me was the scallion pancakes.

USED TO LOVE YOU NOW IM NOT SURE We used to be regulars here and live right down the street but lately it's been kind of hard. Firstly, I wish there was more of a friendly neighborhood feel (especially given how much we go in) but it always feels like a kinda icey reception when we stop by. The food is good but there's always a "soup dumpling special" we're told about at the start of the meal that, frankly, should just be on the menu subject to availability considering they always have them. The straw that broke the camel's back happened the other day when the main course came out before the egg roll dim sum -- like I'm talking 15/20min before and somehow everything (including those egg rolls) ended up on the check. We were hoping they'd be comped but it wasn't to be. "I wish this establishement would welcome its neighbors the way the neighborhood welcomes it." -- Anonymous
Be the first to ReplyThis was, likely, the worst meal i I've ever eaten.
The sauce had too much baking soda, or something, and it attacked my tongue. It was, unfortunately, a waste of money. I couldn't even finish it.

When we stepped into this restaurant we knew that this place would be wild (in a good way) probably because this place has so many oddly placed rooms. We ordered the soup dumplings and they were so good you have to try them and we also ordered some chicken pot stickers(I forget what it is called), we loved those potstickers they had really tender chicken and was not over cooked which some restaurants do. We were confused because none of the food we ordered had rice in it so just know order to order some rice if you want any. We also had some really good mushrooms that had been missed placed and they said we could keep it and we thought it was the crispy chicken but then we crispy chicken arrived at our table and they said they they were sorry about the mix up. The service here was really good and the candy you get when you pay is sooooop gooood. For all of that I 4.5 stars because they gave us something that we didn't order also because I dont believe in 5 star food

I found myself seated at a table with four other people, and we all placed our orders for appetizers and main dishes simultaneously. While most of the food arrived promptly, one dish was significantly delayed, taking approximately 35 minutes. Regrettably, no one from the staff informed us about the delay, leading to a rather unpleasant atmosphere at the table as we were all hungry but opted to wait for the missing dish. After waiting for 25 minutes, we decided to start eating, even though the food had already turned cold. Eventually, after an additional 10 minutes, the delayed dish finally made its appearance, but by then, everyone had almost finished their meals. To add to our disappointment, a 20% gratuity was automatically included in the bill, which felt particularly frustrating given the circumstances. Despite the unfortunate turn of events, we all tried to maintain a positive attitude so as not to spoil my friend's birthday dinner.

Every time I land in New York City to see my daughter this is the first place we go. Literally when I get off the plane, nothing sets the pace like this place. Literally, every time I have gone for the past three years it has delivered. It's sad that that is not the case for most places. I'm not one to push restaurants, nor do I have any affiliation to them, but man this place is really good! The shrimp toast is unbelievable, the cold noodles which I thought I would never be a fan of, are my go to. Dine in or pick up will not be disappointed. Order with confidence.

This was the first time ordering from Kings Co Imperial (after hearing so many great reviews). These noodles are addicting and I've ordered them several times since trying them!

Soooo good! Give me Chinese food from Kings Co Imperial and I'm in heaven; all my beloved favorites (below) melt in my mouth, and there's an incredible medley of subtle spicy and sweet, never numbing and greasy, just mouthwatering flavor, hearty and wholesome. Ingredients are top notch! As an ardent fan, I've been to the restaurant often enough to have tried everything on the menu, so here are some of my favorites. I'm obsessed with their: -Sesame Shrimp Toast: a delicious snack from my childhood. -Sichuan Cucumbers: hot and spicy. -Dry Fried Long Bean: Chinese soul food. -Kung Po Sweet Potato -Hong Kong Style Noodle: childhood favorite of mine. -Crispy Garlic Chicken - Craving Popeyes, this is the dish that you'll want more!

Always refreshing to walk into a space, and be fully waited on. Service at Kings is more than attentive it is detailed, and interacting with the staff makes you feel like visiting someone's very inviting home. The food is also on par with the feeling of home, like getting served all your favorite dishes by your favorite aunt or uncle. Delicious and made with love.
Be the first to Replytake out order takes forever and food tastes ordinary.
if u dont mind waiting indefinitely, go ahead.
Be the first to ReplyAfter going to some random place in Chinatown and ordering
After going to some random place in Chinatown and ordering a dry noodle dish that ended up being a soupy mushy noodle dish and not eating it because it was nasty we went back to this place that was a block from our hotel (should've gone here in the first place), we were pleasantly surprised. We ordered the general tso's chicken and the chicken dumplings. Both were fantastic. The general's was different than any other that I've had. Tasted very fresh and wasn't overly sweet like most general Tso's. There was fried orange peel, fresh ginger, and broccoli in the dish and topped with sesame seeds. Absolutely amazing. The dumplings were fresh and huge. They also have great drinks. Highly recommend.
Be the first to ReplyI love the soup dumplings and the duck at this restaurant.
Not many places in BK serve soup dumplings so this is a stand by when I can't make it to China town. The atmosphere is nice and so is the service.

Strolled in early on a weeknight with a friend and we were seated right away. We were both surprised by how spacious it was and we were seated in the back. We ordered the bok choy pearls, the scallion pancake, and the spring moon shrimp to share. The scallion pancake was nicely crispy but we were blown away by the sauce. Need to constantly make this dipping sauce for everything. The cinnamon was a great touch. Unfortunately I didn't really like the bok choy pearls. There was 4 of them and I only ate one. The last dish was nice but I kept having to add hot sauce to it to have any sort of kick. It also would have been nice if it had come with rice so we ended up ordering some, too. Overall, really great service and it's an affordable Chinese fusion restaurant in the area.
Be the first to ReplyKings Co is one of my favorites in Williamsburg.
Great for two or a bigger group- I haven't had a sharable plate I haven't enjoyed. Fantastic atmosphere with even more delicious menu.
Be the first to ReplyOne of my favorite spots in Williamsburg.
The food is amazing. Anything you order will be tasty, also generous portions. Staffs are friendly.
Be the first to ReplyGo for the soup dumplings! Went with my spouse and friend
Go for the soup dumplings! Went with my spouse and friend for dinner Sunday night. No reservations, but was quickly seated. It's small place, but cozy. We ordered the pork soup dumplings (it's one of the specials), garlic chicken, the ocean something fried rice (shrimp fried rice), and bok choy. Soup dumplings came out first. My spouse and I laughed when we saw the back of the menu that has great instructions on how to eat the soup dumplings. It was greatly appreciated bc we've always effed it up. And they were beginner-friendly soup dumplings for sure. They're thick and puncture-proof. The broth was delicious and plentiful! And the meat was delicious. I could eat just 10 orders of those. The rest of the food is great! Small portions for a family style feast, but it was plenty for 3 people. Garlic chicken is nice and crunchy. Rice cane with like 5 shrimp but still tasty. It's also all very pricey, but that's what you get for the location. Overall, a great dinner.Oh! Almost forgot about the coconut candies at the end. Yeah, would definitely buy a bag. I'll be back!
Be the first to ReplyAmazing food and service is a true dive location.
We sampled almost everything on the menu and each course was better than the preceding. Run, don't walk, to this amazing culinary experience.
Be the first to ReplyThis restaurant had a good atmosphere and good service, but
This restaurant had a good atmosphere and good service, but the food was mediocre and disappointing. The food tended to be very salty, and wasn't as good as hyped up to be. The soup dumplings were juicy but very thick-skinned. Good for the beginner. The short rib chow fun was good. The shrimp toast was really good. Anyways, the best part of the entire meal was the coconut candy at the end. Ok restaurant.
Be the first to ReplyOrdered from Caviar the other night.
It took me a broiler chicken dumpling and a half to notice that they were in fact, entirely raw. I called and spoke to the owner Josh, who to be fair, was completely apologetic and 100% professional. He promised I'd be sorted out for the dangerous inconvenience, but it's been two days now and nothing from the restaurant or Caviar. Generally KCI is great, but a lack of basic food safety is just not acceptable in any way at all. Fortunately I got away with a mild reaction, but somebody could get really hurt here.
