Japanese artistry fused with French sauces
An unforgettable fixed prix meal. 7 courses each with distinct flavors, textures and appearance. Exquisite sauces, tender beef, amazing seafood, ending with a desert to die for. I can not say enough about this restaurant. The dining room itself transports you back in time with just 7 tables. Chef Keiko is very friendly and met with us.

Loved the food and the service! ALL the dishes were amazing: uni, foie gras, Japanese langoustine, wagyu. I didn’t want the night to end. The som chose a lovely white Burgundy to top it off. Highly recommended!!!

My foodie friend booked this place. What a treat it was. I think this place may have had a Michelin star. Location was interesting. Decor and presentation were lovely, stately and calm. Service was 5 star but food was unreal! I will remember this dinner for a long time.

Only one seating and one tasting menu but everything was just about perfect. Sea urchin with golden caviar in a martini glass was beyond amazing. Wagyu beef course was also a favorite. Dining room seats only around 20 with tables spaced nicely. Service is very attentive. Over three hours of pure pleasure. Not cheap. $165 for dinner plus 18% service charge. Wines quite pricey. But, didn’t mind paying given the enjoyment.

Stunning— best first date ever. Met my future that night. The som was the best. So entertaining! He kept us on the edge of our seats...

Third time here - still a charm. From the beautiful decor to the incredible food, this place captures what I love about Nob Hill - an unapologetic embrace of traditions and the classical, manifested by the cooking techniques, impeccable service and incredible decor.

Great place to enjoy a leisurely meal of fine dining with excellent service in a quiet, elegant atmosphere.

We initially booked for five people but two cancelled on the day. I was worried that a single sitting restaurant might charge for the two cancellations but it wasn't a problem at all. The food was amazing. Not a single course we didn't all absolutely love. The uni and caviar course was my favourite whilst the wagyu was my partner's favourite. Seigo is an amazing host and sommelier. Once we expressed an interest in trying some nice wines from his [incredible] cellar (tip - the cellar isn't shown on the wine list) he ran us through some truly unbelievable options and gave us a look in the cellar. An amazing night! I need to plan my next trip back!

I came here for dinner when I visited San Francisco during Thanksgiving. It's hidden in an old building and the interior design is not I expected for a Michelin. It's more cozy rather than delicate. The food, though, is beyond expectation. And the wine pairing! Please, if you do drink, go for the wine pairing and you would not regret this. They are excellent selection and premium quality, which bring out the fineness of each course and make you feel like you are in heaven. My favorite dish of the night would be the Foie Gras with a hint of espresso aroma and the pairing port wine. Together they create a finely balanced taste, in which you can feel the richness but not too heavy.
