Dishes with Karacter!
We love Karakter and try to eat there at least once every time we come to Kraków. The flavors are always interesting and delicious. Last night we had a batter-dipped golonka “donut” with a horseradish sauce and mustard glaze as an appetizer. I wasn’t sure what we were exactly ordering after reading the menu in both English and Polish, but it was so yummy! Honestly, you can’t go wrong, no matter what you get. It all tasty and beautifully presented. For seconds, I had the duck (boneless with an orange glaze) and my husband had melt in your mouth ribs. For dessert, we had spinach ice cream with sabayon sauce. They also have a nice selection of wines which they change and update regularly. The sommelier will always visit your table to help you select the perfect accompaniment to your dinner. The sommeliers always speak English well as does most of the rest of the staff. There are both indoor and outdoor eating areas.

I'd been here a few years back and recognized the place instantly. The menu is varied but well focused and offers a fusion of local, European and Oriental tastes. The restaurant is modern, cozy and clean, the atmosphere welcoming, with relaxing music at the right volume in the background. Food is excellent, freshly made with quality ingredients. Definitely a place to recommend
Exceptional food, good value, great location .
The menu is 'out there' so possibly for the more adventurous eaters, although there are more generic options. I had the pigs ears, partner the bechemal mussels, and beef skirt for mains. Food was exceptional, and great value, for 2 courses, 4 cocktails, was around £80/90. Staff were attentive, great location and vibes.

The food was delicious and the prices were very affordable. I had a steak with watermelon pickles and it was really good! The dessert was a goat cheesecake that was also great

Some very Polish dishes.. wonderful place
We were taken to this place by Polish friends. Some very Polish dishes on the menu, not all of then we dared to try. But it was a very tasty dinner and a nice place to eat.
Bags of character
Character? I'll say! From a section of the menu entitled "welcome to the circus" I chose pig's ears in tempura and goose gizzards with picked cucumber risotto. Sounding like bush tucker trials, the dishes were beautifully cooked and presented and interesting to try although, ultimately, I was envious of my son with his more conventional beef stew. We shared a wonderfully light mousse for dessert. Excellent service and value at just £48 for the pair of us for two courses and two glasses of wine. It gets busy so book if you can.
Below our expectations
We did not eat the food. My food was chicken in puree with tomato and my wife had slow cooked veal with a bad taste and a hard piece of meat that was not possible to be swallowed. Service was good but the food and the atmosphere was below our expectations.
Karakter has no Karakter at all
Very disappointed. Unfortunately the plates we have chosen not only tasteless but the quality was not good too. The meat could not be eaten as for the puree and the sauce well something was wrong with it. The taste was veeird. The other plate we had with chicken absolutely tasteless.
Food excellent - Natalia a star
Food amazing - went Wednesday night so pleased with quality a value returned Thursday night - quality food, freshly cooked, original menu.. Natalia who served us was a star - informative, friendly, helpful - a real asset to krakater. Would return tomorrow but we’re off home. You’ll not get better.
Don't bother
Really looking forward to our meal at Karakter, better to book in advance. Attentive staff however, was told the sommelier would come over, however the food was on the table before her. The starter was very tasty, the main course i did not eat and my husband only ate half of his. Far to much hype about this place. We paid and left
It's a YES from us
Managed to get a table one evening at short notice. Heard about this and thought we would give it a try. I had the mussels (fantastic) followed by the melt in the mouth beef rib. My wife had the salmon with jelly followed by the chicken and polenta. We both agreed the food was exceptional and would rate this as some of the best tasting food we have had whilst being away on holiday. We did have the poached pear to share for dessert, opinions divided wife enjoyed it, but sorry this one was not for me.
Amazing, delicious food!
Everyone was so lovely, we hadn’t booked a table but they sat us down right away, the menu had items we weren’t used to but we branched out and tried new things, absolutely delicious! Waitress was amazing and friendly, great atmosphere 100/10 definitely recommend!

Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!

I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.

It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
