Stay away from this lousy place!
My husband was so excited to try this restaurant and let me say we had the worst food we ever ate. We ordered chicken behari tikka and chicken Karahi, instead we got chicken tikka type red chicken meat. Instead of chicken Karahi we got chicken curry which was horrible! The service is terrible, we were given no water or drinks that we ordered! The restaurant is not Pakistani at all. It is run by bengali people! Stay away and spend your money else where!

I am glad this place is open for business. The food is always delicious. Found out today that this is a Pakistani owned and operated.

This place started from a tiny room with a kitchen in the back probably in the late 1990's. I'll write a detailed review later. I went in there consecutively two weeks in a row after about 15 years of boycott with them. Both times I had aggravation with the way these people are running their business. Went in to take out Naan both times. On both occasions they keep giving Naans to customers coming after me. Reason? They spoke Bengali and were Bangladeshis, I wasn't. The color of my money was the same green and you're in business for that green paper, and then some business ethics are involved too which are not to be seen here and they don't care. I boycotted them 15 years ago because the same reason. Not good business!
Food: It's good..not very good.
Service: Lousy!
Presentation: Sloppy and unclean.
Cleanliness: They're dirty. I don't know what goes on in the kitchen neither do I want to know.
Price: On the cheap side.
Portions: Small.
Unorganized..unorganized big time!
Yummy
We were tourist and had gone to have a look at Jackson heights l. We just happened to enter here as it was lunch time and we were craving for good Indian food .They have the most yummy seek kababs and biryani that Iโve ever had. The place doesnโt look like itโs in nyc at all but looks as if itโs in some old Indian city, they talk in Hindi too which made us feel like home .
My son took samosas which I suppose were frozen as they didnโt seem fresh. Had masala chai too which was good .
Food looked good, service was iffy, Couldn't get to order
Writing a review for somewhere I could not complete or order a meal isn't the thing that I would like to do but in this case I have a couple of things to share so writing this.
I spent around 15 mins in this restaurant trying to order and yet could not get to order something to go which is a shame. The problem was, I needed a veg dish which they eventually could not prepare although I was told they could make it in the counter.
With so many other nice restaurants around, I would prefer a place where they know what can be delivered and what not right from the start.
Haute cuisine, you say?? Hot cuisine - Yes.
Go here if you want to eat. Do not go there if you want an experience. Amazing food, basic, North Indian food which the truck-wallahs (truckers) would eat, in a surrounding akin to a truck stop in rural India.

A typical Pakistani place with the advantage of being open 24/7. The food is ok, a bit of a commercial taste. A lot of the dishes are already cooked and are at display at the first floor of the restaurant, with family style seating available at the second floor. The first floor I usually filled with daily solo customers through out the day, larger groups find it easy to get space on the second floor. There are restrooms at both levels and they accept credit cards.

My favorite kabab was the sheik kabab and they weโre spicy and delicious and I love the nan breads are soft but try putting butter in the nan breads but everything in the menu is delicious. Iโll highly recommend this restaurant to my friends

The food is authentic pakistani cuisine. Ambient is not that attractive. Even the customer services. I had to ask the waiter to serve the free sauce and a pitcher with a glass on a table. Then he served after a long waiting when half of the food was already finished. Restaurant is value for money US $ 10~13 is enough to spend for a single person. This restaurant is quite famous among South Asian community.

This place is really hyped up. After being bombarded by their ads on International TV I decided to try them out during a trip to NY and gave them a couple of chances to redeem themselves. Kababs are good but not outstanding, curry dishes are horrible. I was raised in Karachi so I can handle a lot of spices but you need a fire extinguisher here to bring your taste buds back to life. They have a lot of out of refrigerator microwaved stuff and they try to give them the appearance that they are fresh by garnishing them with a lot of Cilantro and green chillies but cannot hide the fact that the dishes were cooked a week ago. I would stay away from any curry dishes. BarBQ items are average to good depending upon what you order. The next morning a friend took me to the place again for breakfast ... what can I say .. horrible pori and chana and worthless halwa. And yes the place is dirty. I saw a cockroach crawling on the floor of the second floor with my own eyes. With so many other options available in Jackson heights this place is doing well commercially is mind boggling.

Beef kabobs didn't taste that great. Chicken kabobs were very very good. Very good naans. And decent haleem. Overall, not bad. And super cheap.
