Jupiter New York Reviews from The Last Year
"Looks nice however...."
I will explain in some detail about this restaurant as I hate being ripped off and I have been living in New York since 2005, so I am thinking of visiting tourists. The restaurant is situated in an excellent location to the Rockefeller centre and tourist attractions and we sat outside in the patio area next to where the ice rink is in the winter. The service was slow and we had to wait a long time for the meal. We ordered Focaccia bread (13$) which was very good and had two glasses of rosa wine which was also nice (14$ a glass). For the main meal we ordered Chicken Spiedini (chicken on a scewer.30$) which was burnt (see attached photo), Fritto Misto di Mare (calamari $18) and Bistecca (steak 36$). Overall expensive for the quality of food (small) and service and I should have asked for the cost of the Chicken Spiedini to be taken off the bill, however, there is no charge for sparkling water. When I received the bill I explained our dissatisfaction and that I was not going to pay the 20% tip. The waiter called the manager and after explaining the situation I was allowed to change the tip to a lower amount. In the end the bill was 151.09$ and still not value for money but I know in New York the restaurants rely on tips to up their wages. This could be an excellent restaurant and needs a head waiter to keep an eye on tables and show more attention to clients to ensure service and meals are of a high standard. The manager was friendly and took my comments seriously and I hope things will change. I will not be returning!!
The food, atmosphere, and service was absolutely incredible.
Ordered quite a bit with a friend to explore the menu, and every bite was better than the last. I can't recommend Jupiter enough! A great spot for any and all occasions.
Highly recommend!

Really nice low lit ambiance.
Love the open kitchen style. Our waiter was very friendly and patient with my table's trouble in trying to choose our entrees. We started with the focaccia. They must have put parm onto the top before baking because the crust tasted like a extra toasty cheez it! Our entrees were good. Nothing to rage about tbh. We wished our bucatini was more creamy. The dish felt like it was missing something. Otherwise, this restaurant is def a nice place to go for the vibes.
Tenured NYC foodie
As a tenured NYC foodie, I've savored countless culinary experiences across the city's diverse landscape. Yet, few establishments captivate the essence of fine dining quite like Jupiter. Nestled in the lower level of Rockefeller Center, this wonderful restaurant beckons discerning palates with its fusion of exquisite flavors, "impeccable service", and elegant ambiance. Go and enjoy!
So so good.
I can't remember the pasta amidst we got but it was incredible. We were just talking about it as we were eating at a Michelin star restaurant and thinking that the pasta at Jupiter was better.
Very overly expensive
This restaurant is very, very expensive! The portions are very small and food mediocre. Service is not the best either.
We went to Jupiter when visiting NYC for an anniversary
We went to Jupiter when visiting NYC for an anniversary trip and chose Jupiter for it's location and food options. Ivy and our server (I forget her name, sorry!) made the evening memorable for us with their exceptional hospitality and service. We ordered cocktails to start and both were great. We also wanted a bottle of wine for our meal so we asked for the sommelier's help and she was amazing! She talked us through a few options based on what we said we liked and spent a significant amount of time helping us to make sure we got what we were looking for. We ordered several different courses, and all were timed well and were very good. We particularly enjoyed the beef carpaccio and ravioli, while the star of the meal was the osso bucco. It was delicious! After dinner, Ivy sent over an exceptional Amaro for us to enjoy and I still haven't stopped thinking about it. Would definitely reccomend if you're looking for a cool spot with great food. And don't skimp on a bottle of wine, they have a dynamic selection and an incredibly helpful somm to help navigate the list!
Coming from the Rockettes show my granddaughter and I were
Coming from the Rockettes show my granddaughter and I were looking for a nice restaurant to sit and have a nice meal so decided to try Jupiter. Was told it will be a 30-min wait and it was fine. The maitre 'd wanted to seat us at the middle of 3 vacant tables but I requested if we could take the one on the side and at first he said they were reserved then relented so we got seated on the side we preferred and surprisingly til we finished, none of those tables were ever occupied. We ordered ziti for my granddaughter and tortelini for me. I asked if there is bread for the table I was told they do not serve bread at the table but we could order from the menu. Which Italian restaurant does not serve bread! But it was okay. Then my granddaughter asked if she can have a little extra parmesan. Ten minutes passed, no parmesan until I asked for our check. I told the staff we do not need the parmesan anymore as we are set to pay and leave. The only spectacular innthis restaurant is the prices of the food which are so way over for what they look and taste. I enjoy fine dining and eating good food but this one I find not worth going back to. Food is as bland and unappetizing , the service is agonizing slow even if a lot of tables are empty.
Has potential
Let me start by saying the pasta was delicious. However, service left a lot to be desired. Had reservations for 5 PM. Arrived on time and was seated in the back portion of the side dining room, next to the bathroom hallway. We were the first table that was seated in the area and the restaurant was nearly empty. Tables were still being set in the section. Waited for menus as other tables were seated and had their drink orders taken. The bar was likely understaffed as every order from the bar during our meal took an abundance of time to be served. Our server actually comped 2 rounds as the wait was so long. Our server was actually very helpful but was likely covering too many tables. DEspite the food being tasty, would likely go elsewhere as there are too many other restaurants in the city with better ambiance and service.
The service here is outstanding.
The food is also really good too. It's definitely on the pricier side which makes sense because of where it's located. The tagliatelle and the bucatini are both excellent. Same with the osso buco and the chicken.
Terrible food- over priced
We thought this would be a perfect lunch venue-We had tickets to see the Rockettes at Radio City Music Hall on a Saturday in mid November. We had to flag down the waiter-service was slow. Not much on the menu. Pasta and Panini. The Mortadella panini served cold was pretty bad-even the bread had no flavor.Terrible! Best thing was the basket full of bread and the prosecco . I did complain and they took the panini off the bill.! Terrible food and over priced
Best meal this trip
I was in NYC with 4 adult family members and we all agreed that this was our best meal in NYC. It was a Sunday night, We are looking at the skating rink in the ‘patio’ area. The bread basket was AMAZING…. Gris in I, focaccia with cherries ( not a typo) and music sheets ( I forget Italian name. ). The olive oil was first class. All the pasta was freshly made. My rigatoni dish was al dente and delicious. The lemon sorbetto was served in a lemon. Our server was great. She brought us various tastes of wine to ensure that we were happy with our wine by the glass selections

had dinner at their King street sister restaurant before and liked it. so went with two friends from overseas. we had two starters and two pastas to share and then ordered a main dish of grilled fish for two, thought would be just perfect to finish up - but the fish is apparently a small dorado barely enough for one person - they charge 60 dollars for that supposedly two people's dish - not very nice - and when raised the question - they didn't seem care - don't think want to go there again -

The food was excellent I had the Red Snapper with Artichokes. The fish was fresh and delicious. I generally don't eat the whole filet but this dish was very lite and tasty. The waitress and hostess were both attentive and pleasant. I must especially commend the manager Ivy Rogers for her thoughtfulness and help. She reached out and contacted me regarding my review. The restaurant is at rink level but the only way to see the skaters was through the door way. The windows no longer over look the rink. On the whole the ambiance was nice and the bar area was friendly
Great Times at the Rock
We visited Jupiter twice while visiting NYC. The Risotto di Mare was stunning in presentation and was equally delicious. Many thanks to Olivia and Kendall for being so kind and attentive.
Jupiter is “Out of this World!”
We were hesitant to try any Italian restaurant (especially pasta dishes) after having just returned from several weeks in Italy, but a friend suggested Jupiter. We were doubly concerned as usually dining in Rockefeller Center is fraught with touristy places. However, we were delighted with the service, ambiance, wine and food (yes, the pasta too) at this lovely place! Kudos to the staff—especially Ivy—and the ownership!!!
My partner and I ate lunch at Jupiter last Thursday and my
My partner and I ate lunch at Jupiter last Thursday and my official review is as follows. The location is perfection, right next to the Rockefeller Center iceskating rink. At our table, we could LITERALLY see it from where we were sitting! Right when we entered, Francis - a very kind, handsome gentleman - greeted us and asked us if he could take our coat and bags. He escorted us to our table and about two seconds after we sat down, we were offered stilled or sparkling water. A lot of times at restaurants, I have felt either rushed to place an order or I have felt ignored by the staff. At Jupiter, neither applied! We were given the luxury of talking, laughing, and enjoying ourselves while not feeling rushed or ignored. When I go to a restaurant, I always check out their cocktail menu - I am a big cocktail guy! At previous restaurants, I have asked if they have anything else besides what is on their cocktail menu because, at times, I don't like what I see. Many times, I have been told they only offer what is on the menu, even if they have an open bar! However, at Jupiter, when I asked the server Annie (who was so fun and clearly enjoyed her job!) if there were other cocktail options, she enthusiastically replied, "What can I get for you!" I told her I would like a cocktail that is "sexy" and "fruity". She laughed and said "Coming right up!" When she brought over the drink, it was truly the most magical thing I've ever tasted. I had no idea what to expect, as I basically asked to be surprised - but I have never tasted anything like it. Clearly, the bar tending staff at Jupiter knows what they're doing! My partner and I shared the "Pappardelle Ragu" and it was the perfect mix of al Dante pasta and beef topping. I wish I could have ordered everything off the menu! When other dishes came out to other tables, I said to my partner, "Can we order everything!?" The best part of the experience was meeting the manager, Marissa. She came over to our table and asked us how we were enjoying ourselves. I am a very friendly and outgoing person and I told her the extravagant story of how we wound up at the restaurant and also in NYC. She laughed and shared a personal anecdote and we talked for about 5 to 10 minutes. She was so sweet and excited to share about how the restaurant is evolving. She clearly loves her job and enjoys spending time with her guests. Being a restaurant manager is NOT easy, but she clearly knows how to "run the show!" They have only been open for less than a year and I mentioned the fact that the ice-skating rink was literally right in front of us. I said something like, "I bet it's going to be super busy in the winter when people are ice-skating!" She laughed and said, "I certainly hope so!" It is rare to experience a manager coming to a table at a restaurant, greeting you, having fun with you, and making that personal connection! Overall, the food and drinks were phenomenal but most importantly, the service was out of this world. I highly recommend Jupiter to anybody in New York City, specifically people who are visiting "Top of the Rock", anywhere in Rockefeller Center, or anywhere else in the city! I can't wait to go back in December when the ice rink is open!
Hard to imagine that there is a finer Midtown Manhattan
Hard to imagine that there is a finer Midtown Manhattan lunch destination right now. For once in the seven or so times I've been to Jupiter since its opening last winter, I was a solo diner--but this did not diminish a superlative meal. The staff, both managers and present and past servers, were especially attentive, and the kitchen was firing on more than five cylinders. A guilty pleasure to have a Negroni at lunch to go with my Mozzarella di Bufala, which was accompanied this month with peppers, spinach, anchovy and marjoram. Followed this with the Beef Sott'olio--ripe end of season heirloom tomatoes were a treat, with watercress and fresh horseradish lending peppery notes. Jupiter is rightly praised for its fresh pastas, but you also can't go wrong ordering only from the Piccolo Morsi, Antipasti sections. And then--why not some Dolci? Had I not been solo, I would have also ordered the Zucchini Fritti to start. Next time, if it is still in season. This is a festive restaurant--I find the buzz of the crowd stimulating.
The food is incredible here.
Located in a really fun and convenient area- Rockefeller Plaza. Great wait staff. Go for the tart for dessert. We had numerous pastas- all insanely good.

Great Service - amazing dinner!!
Read about the site in NYT and bought a reservation at Mother Wolf in LA 2 days later. Worked great and the food was amazing!!!
Worked perfectly!
Got the reservation (that I couldn't get anywhere else) and was able to entertain a group of friends at the infamous Bern's Steakhouse.
Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!
Very easy
Was very hesitant going into this experience but am glad to say that it worked out very well ! will definitely use appointment trader in the future
Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!
Great reviewer team
Just wanted to take a second to shout out the reviewer team. Even though they probably review hundreds of listings and bids a day, they still take the time to leave great comments and respond relatively quickly. Thanks!
Incredible
I got a reservation to Don Angie, which I've been trying to book for weeks! I am very happy with this service.
Best platform out there!
Super simple, easy, and fast to secure reservations for hard-to-get restaurants and locations!
This app is life changing
This app has opened my world up to so many wonderful new experiences I would never have the chance to have without access to this awesome app! 10/10!
Worked perfectly
Was a little nervous at first but was pleased to see that the booking went through flawlessly.
Highly recommended.
Success on Short Notice
Was able to snag an indoor table at Don Angie through an absolutely seamless worry-free process.
Worked perfectly, thank you!
This is a crazy holiday season in NYC and I was very pleasantly surprised to see that AppointmentTrader works! Will be using again!

So glad I came across this app :)
Quick table in Miami
I didn’t have my hopes high as it was a party of 4. In 24 hours I had a carbone reservation available! I was very happy as my family really wanted to come here
Prime time, great meal
So easy and had a prime time which I can never seem to get on normal res apps. So worth it
Got impossible NYC res
instead of waiting weeks I got my 4 charles reservation instantly
Worked perfectly to get into Carbone. So delighted
perfect
Worked well, got me into a restaurant with no availability
I was skeptical, and I still don't really know how they managed to find this hard-to-find reservation, but it was a win-win from my point of view, and I'll use this service again.
Last minute reservation for Delilah Las Vegas
Got a last minute reservation, dinner for 2 at Delilah Las Vegas: super impressed! The process was simple, transaction seamless. We had an amazing time! Couldn’t be happier! 😍
It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.
Love this app
Got to go to places otherwise unreachable
Easy Access
Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.
Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
Payouts Blocked Because of Sell Through Rate
Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??
Tune into NBC News - Top Story Tonight 7:40p ET
Let’s go. Get more people placing bids!
I will give you 50% of ALL of my PROFITS if you teach me how to make profits?
LOL. Thank you The New Yorker.
Appointment
Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?
Buyers interested in Bern's Steakhouse: PLEASE READ
Same goes for 4 Charles and I Sodi
Prepaid Reservation Fee
Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
Congrats on 3 mil
🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🧨🧨🧨 now on to 30 mill!
Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it?
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid?
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted.
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
