Jules Verne Paris Reviews from The Last Year
Perfect experience for special day
Unbelievable location, view service and of course food. Special experience from been met at the entrance of the tower. The service team made you feel welcome and treated perfectly. The food is unreal, we went for the 5 course as felt we may struggle to eat the 7 and fully enjoy. I now wish I went for 7 course after seeing other dishes. To top it off my girlfriend said yes after proposing to her inside the restaurant. All in all a 5 star plus experience.
Extraordinary eating experience with a view of Paris
We were treated like royalty & ate like queens. The food was extraordinary; a 6 course chef’s tasting menu that was so good it was hard to pick favorites
10/10 can second what many other reviewers have said about
10/10 can second what many other reviewers have said about just how incredible this experience was. We felt like VIPS from the moment we walked in the door. The ambiance, service, and of course the food was all outstanding. This truly was a culinary experience of a lifetime for me. They naturally cater very well to American Tourists and speak good English. They made us feel welcomed and doted on the whole meal which was wonderful. We did the full 7 courses and added the cheese and got a bottle of wine and it came out to around $350 USD a person. Which to me seems like an extremely fair price to pay for such a luxurious and delicious evening. We got to watch the sun set and had private access to the observation deck, the pictures came out beautiful. Don't get me wrong this is certainly a splurge meal, but for the quality of every aspect of the experience it feels like a fair price to ask. I couldn't recommend it more. I would tell any of my friends visiting Paris it is a must-do. I worked hard to earn the money I used to pay for having such a special evening and it was worth every penny. I hope to return at some point in my lifetime but even if I never do the experience, I had left me feeling satisfied.
So you go first for the once-in-a-lifetime experience.
Whisked to the second level to dine overlooking Paris? Amazing. Yes, it's expensive and it's a fixed menu, but it deserves both Michelin stars. Book well in advance AND make sure you're booked and not waitlisted. Unhappy erstwhile diners turned up when we did and found out the unhappy news. All -- ALL -- the staff were thoughtful and amazing.
Wow! Absolutely incredible.
2 Michelin stars well deserved. Delicious food, outstanding service, and the view....Eiffel Tower. Not a cheap place, but an unforgettable experience.
A dinner to remember on our last night in Paris.
Obviously the location can't be beat. The food was next level. The service is second to none. We had around 10 people serving our section. It was like a coordinated dance without missing a step. Every dish was amazing. Our only small complaint was we wished the Veal was a bit more tender. We love a good filet mignon so we expected similar. But the flavors of everything was so good. Each dish was like a piece of art with surprising flavors. We have never had anything quite like this. Felt like we were on Iron Chef. Hopefully we can experience this again someday.

Lunch at Jules Verne was an extraordinary experience that surpassed all expectations. Perched on the second floor of the Eiffel Tower, this iconic restaurant offers not only breathtaking views of Paris but also a culinary journey like no other. It's fun being whisked to the front of the line going up the tower. I have eaten at Michelin restaurants all over the world and this meal is one of my top I've ever experienced. From the moment we were greeted by the attentive staff to the last bite of dessert, every moment was filled with elegance and charm. Each dish was a masterpiece, beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. The ambiance was equally impressive, with stylish decor and panoramic views of the city. It was the perfect setting for my daughter's birthday. We had a window seat which you can only acquire by booking far in advance. You get private access to the 2nd floor of the ET. When you are finished wandering outside, you get your own private code for the private door to come back down. Sublime. Dining at Jules Verne is not just a meal--it's an unforgettable journey through the flavors and sights of Paris.
The experience at this restaurant and location was nothing
The experience at this restaurant and location was nothing less than exquisite. Yes it is expensive, yes I had to book 4 months out, and yes you will enjoy every second of this dining experience. The only complaint I have is the arrival instructions should be updated with the current security situation regarding the Olympics. Aside from that, I would eat my last meal here. For all the naysayers complaining of the portions, it is a multiple Michelin starred French prex fit menu that will leave you wanting for nothing. After 7 courses, our plans to go out for drinks after were not happening as it was time for bed haha. Let's start with the venue, hello you are on the top viewing platform of the Eiffel Tower with 5 star service. Before you even think you need your wine or water refilled, there is someone pouring it for you. You think you'd like a glass of cognac for dessert, it's there. The plates are served white glove style insync with both severs and they are attentive but not intrusive. We chose the 7 course option, highly recommend, which turned out to be 9 courses with the chefs special and an amuse-bouches. I can't recommend this place enough for an amazing experience. The ambiance is well, breathtaking.
Essentially you are paying for the irreplaceable view and
Essentially you are paying for the irreplaceable view and overall experience of dining here. There really is no other place that can beat that. From there, I think comes the exceptional service, well-choreographed and practiced hospitality from the staff, and finally the food. The food is actually very good, I think its moreso whether you are open to this level of food and how you accept it. It's definitely not something you eat everyday, but that's part of the reason of why you're dining here, isn't it? We went for their a la carte lunch service. The top memorable dishes were the ones that weren't included in the menu (the surprise dishes and treats), the unlimited bread and butter (serious top quality that I still think about everyday), and the crab w/ apple cider soup. The ambience and vibe was perfect as well. Most of the diners did make an effort to dress up, there was a mix of some family, couples, friends, and an overall good variety of people there. Dining here was truly one of the most memorable highlights of our trip to Paris and I don't think I will ever forget the feeling I experienced here--that should say enough.
What to do when the amuse bouche are the best flavors of all?
Surprised by the views, the service and the food. A step up in style since last visit in 1986, but not the food. A culinary travel in shades of taupe, despite bloody red and orange gel, the flavors weren’t there.
Lives up to its rating and reviews.
No need to be on time as the elevator up only holds 4 and nobody is in any kind of rush. Wine with each course is $150 pp. But they do have an extensive wine list.
Michelin Star Restaurant with Obnoxious Customers
My husband and I have dined at Jules Verne on several occasions and our experiences have always been magnificent. Because of our love for this restaurant, we highly recommended that my son and his girlfriend visit during their stay in Paris this week. They had a lunch time reservation (made many months in advance!) and they were excited to be seated at a beautiful table for two in front of the window overlooking Paris. Unfortunately, an EXTREMELY loud family was seated near them. The family was not dressed for this special occasion (per the requirements) nor did they know how to behave in such a beautiful establishment. They were LOUD and OBNOXIUS. Many of the customers surrounding them, requested to be moved, however, my son and his girlfriend decided to stay at their table because of the beautiful view. This was probably a big mistake as the behavior never improved during their entire dining experience. They received many apologies from the Jules Verne staff, however, it really did have a negative impact on their experience. I believe that someone at Jules Verne should have spoken to the LOUD guests and explained to them that they were impacting the experience of others. I mean this is a Michelin Star Restaurant and they need to adhere to the high standards that have been set. Something should have or could have been done to handle this situation with these people as they obviously didn't know how to behave and maybe a glass of champagne offered or dessert offered to my son and his girlfriend would have been a nice touch at the end of such a distressing experience. By the way, they said the food was spectacular!
This was so unexpected.
Mostly locals and not touristy at all. The service was impeccable and the food deserved the Michelin star. Private elevator and exit to the Tour Eiffel . Will go back every time. You must try. Not too expensive.
We were able to eat at Le Jules Verne while in Paris and
We were able to eat at Le Jules Verne while in Paris and the view alone is worth the 5 stars. We reserved this restaurant last minute, so we didn't have the most ideal table to begin with, but as the night went on, we were moved to a table with an even better view of the night time of Paris. The service here is impeccable. Each person we encountered that evening, from the person who took us up to the restaurant in the elevator to those who served us our food, were very professional. Between our whole family, we had either 5 or 7 courses that evening. My son and I ordered the 5 courses and my husband and daughter got the 7 courses. Each dish was different and each of us liked different things that we had. None of the dishes were bad, but, for instance, I don't like certain textures, so I personally didn't like the venison. The best part of this dinner was the fact that we could go out a special door to look outside on the Eiffel tower and not have to worry about the crowds. It was amazing! At the end of our meal, we each got a piece of chocolate with a quote from Jules Verne, the writer who this restaurant is named after. I highly recommend you try this place at least once, especially if you are making a once in a lifetime trip to France. You'll get an amazing view from the Eiffel tower as well as delicious food!

We made reservations for 11/01/23 for the first seating and made sure to be one of the first in line to enter. In doing so we received an amazing window table with stunning views. The service was impeccable. The 7 course meal was the most amazing dining experience. This was not merely food but cuisine on such an elevated level as to be second to none. I've dined in many exquisite restaurants but nothing can compare to the ambience and most memorable meal at the Jules Verne in the Eiffel Tower. * We did not take photos of the food because we didn't want to detract from this amazing dining experience.

Tied for the best meal I've ever had! What a very special Paris experience and something you must do if you have the time! It's such a treat and unforgettable. As you enter you're actually in a building that is built around the actual Tower and the elevator ride to the restaurant is pretty awesome with a spectacular view of all of Paris waiting at the top for you. The service is an experience in itself! The staff is so friendly and accommodating, making you feel extremely special. The food...out of this world! If you like light and frothy with cream and butter this is your place! The flavors are a symphony and every plate provides a new experience to the senses. My personal favorite was the onion frothy mousse with truffle and the turbot with leek and yuzu.

OMG! Food, service, the views, everything! Once in a lifetime experience. We went for 12/31/23 and could've not asked for a better last meal of the year!
It was quite an experience that won't be soon forgotten.
I booked 3 months in advance and was a few days late from the day reservations opened up online for booking. I was only 3 days late and Christmas dinner slots were already completely booked and I only had a handful of time slots to choose from for lunch. I ended up reserving Christmas day lunch at 1:30pm. The cost was $510 euros (approx $565 usd) to confirm a reservation for a party of 2. SERVICE: The service was great. Everyone we encountered were polite and professional. Most of the staff speaks both French and some English, but some only speak French. FOOD: The food was very good, well, everything except the main entree. They offered 2 options for lunch - a 5 course tasting menu or a 7 course tasting menu. I opted for the 5 course menu. Many wines options are also offered for an additional charge but we selected still water, sparkling water, and citrus sodas. We tried: 1. Crab: Flavored with Tarragon, Granny Smith Apple Zephyr (5 out of 5) 2. Scallop: Puffed Buckwheat Galette Dieppoise Sauce and Oscetra Caviar (3 out of 5) 3. Langoustine: Prepared as a Ravioli. Parmesan cream, Thin Beetroot jelly (5 out of 5) 4. Venison & Chicken: Roasted with Cranberries. Braised Cabbage, Poivrade Sauce (both 1 out of 5; unfortunately, the sauce tasted burned, chicken was overcooked, and the venison simply lacked flavor) 5. Chocolate: Warm Soufflé. Cocoa nibs ice cream, Crispy Gavotte (3 out of 5) AMBIANCE: The restaurant has simple elegance and contemporary decor. Nothing flashy. The window views of Paris was nice but has some obstruction due to the nature of the Eiffel Tower structure that is holding it up. FELLOW PATRONS: Our experience was mixed with some friendly co-diners, as well as some first class snobs. Unfortunately, we were seated by a stuffy foreigner couple. They were not french, they spoke a foreign language but were not friendly to us. Overall, if you are interested in trying a Michelin star restaurant while visiting the iconic Eiffel Tower all in one go and are okay with shelling out the cash, this is worth trying at least once in my option.
The food was great, the service was fantastic, the view is
The food was great, the service was fantastic, the view is unparalleled. I see some reviews slamming the food, but it really was delicious. The standouts for me were the scallop, langoustine and the cheese course. The scallop, strangely, kinda looked like a taco, but it was superb. The lobster was also out of this world. The presentation was gorgeous with what I think was a beet gelee on top. The cheese was melted with shaved truffle and warm brioche. I could happily eat it every day of my life. The only plates that didn't impress me were the crab and the chicken. The crab was quite fishy, and it was an odd combination what I seem to remember was Granny Smith apple foam. The chicken was actually very tasty, but I just expect more from a Michelin star tasting menu main course. It felt a bit like we were being cheated. The turbot was a toss up. I don't know what the flavors were, but I really liked them. That said, the flavor was very strong and I can see it being polarizing. If I could do it over, we would've skipped the wine pairing and ordered a nice bottle. They definitely didn't skimp on their pours, but, if you're like me and have a hard time not finishing a good glass of wine paired with a delicious bite, you might walk out a little tipsy...and you might not totally remember what you had for dessert.

Great Service - amazing dinner!!
Read about the site in NYT and bought a reservation at Mother Wolf in LA 2 days later. Worked great and the food was amazing!!!
Worked perfectly!
Got the reservation (that I couldn't get anywhere else) and was able to entertain a group of friends at the infamous Bern's Steakhouse.
Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!
Very easy
Was very hesitant going into this experience but am glad to say that it worked out very well ! will definitely use appointment trader in the future
Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!
Great reviewer team
Just wanted to take a second to shout out the reviewer team. Even though they probably review hundreds of listings and bids a day, they still take the time to leave great comments and respond relatively quickly. Thanks!
Incredible
I got a reservation to Don Angie, which I've been trying to book for weeks! I am very happy with this service.
Best platform out there!
Super simple, easy, and fast to secure reservations for hard-to-get restaurants and locations!
This app is life changing
This app has opened my world up to so many wonderful new experiences I would never have the chance to have without access to this awesome app! 10/10!
Worked perfectly
Was a little nervous at first but was pleased to see that the booking went through flawlessly.
Highly recommended.
Success on Short Notice
Was able to snag an indoor table at Don Angie through an absolutely seamless worry-free process.

perfect
Worked well, got me into a restaurant with no availability
I was skeptical, and I still don't really know how they managed to find this hard-to-find reservation, but it was a win-win from my point of view, and I'll use this service again.
Last minute reservation for Delilah Las Vegas
Got a last minute reservation, dinner for 2 at Delilah Las Vegas: super impressed! The process was simple, transaction seamless. We had an amazing time! Couldn’t be happier! 😍
It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.
Love this app
Got to go to places otherwise unreachable
Easy Access
Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.
Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
Payouts Blocked Because of Sell Through Rate
Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??
Tune into NBC News - Top Story Tonight 7:40p ET
Let’s go. Get more people placing bids!
I will give you 50% of ALL of my PROFITS if you teach me how to make profits?
LOL. Thank you The New Yorker.
Appointment
Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?
Buyers interested in Bern's Steakhouse: PLEASE READ
Same goes for 4 Charles and I Sodi
Prepaid Reservation Fee
Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
Congrats on 3 mil
🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🧨🧨🧨 now on to 30 mill!
Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it?
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid?
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted.
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
