Jikasei MENSHO San Francisco Reviews from The Last Year
Noodles are perfectly chewy and loved all the toppings on
Noodles are perfectly chewy and loved all the toppings on my extra spicy chicken ramen (with a hint of sichuan numbing spice). The menu was a little different than what I had seen on Yelp so it probably rotates. Taking a star off since it was expensive for a bowl but regardless, great for an occasional treat.
Oh ya, delicious, vegan, satisfying and a bit unusual.
When you're in the mood there is nothing quite like it.

Amazing ramen
Amazing! Really loved the ramen. Big portions, friendly staff. Very busy so expect long lines. We had to wait about 30 mins on a Saturday evening.
Oh you'll love this place.
Jikasei Mensho is well known in Japan and parts of Asia, so travelers from all over the world get off the beaten path to come here to enjoy the food and ambience... and it's not really off the beaten path. The store sits in the corner of the ground floor market store at 1355 Market street. Major tech companies like Airbnb and X are near by, so you meet a lot of cool and interesting people. I kinda get the service feeling of the Netflix show Tokyo Diner, but I wish this place would open late. Get the chicken spicy ramen!
Came here and ordered the spicy ramen during my lunch break.
This place is located inside the marketplace, and there is a decent amount of seating. I ordered from a kiosk, and there was no one at the counter until someone brought out bowls for customers. All dine-in and take-out orders are served in a thin plastic bowl, which was scalding hot to the touch when I was carrying it to my seat. The ramen was fresh and chewy and the chashu was tender, however it was not worth the price point of $20. I thought the amount of toppings were just okay. It probably would've been better with an egg. I was unsure if the broth had a lot of peppercorn flavor or if the numbing I felt from eating this ramen was from a peanut allergy, so make sure you do not make the mistake that I did and ask if there are any allergens. Overall, it was fine, but nothing to rave about.
Really good quality food and noodles.
Delicious vinegar on the side too. Only complaint is it's not a huge portion for $20 and other competitors rival in their portions. Great ambiance and outdoor seating in Twitter's HQ
Overrated and not worth it
I came with high expectation. But I have to say it is very average. Soup was very heavy on garlic. Environment is noisy. With one ramen (+1 topping), and two drinks, I paid 43 dollars and I would expect more with this price.
For a quick ramen craving, this is the spot.
It's no frills, as you order at the counter and pick it up on your own. Kinda like mall food court style! However muuuch better quality than food court food. I will say it is more expensive that food court food though! Mensho ramen is always amazingly chewy and al dente, it's my favorite thing. I always appreciate that their vegan ramen is on par if not better than the meat option.
Terribly over-rated & expensive
Average ramen at best. Interesting broth and noodles but super salty. We also ordered the A5 sashimi, the pork chasiu bowl and the chicken karaage on the side. For ramen, we ordered the GKO (Garlic Knock Out). The A5 sashimi is a waste of $ 12... Two thin sliced of beef on a knob of rice with an over the top sauce on the side. The chasiu is ok. The karaage is full of batter... Not sure what the rave is about. Definitely not coming back. BTW - they automatically add 20% service charge and you order the food from the app!
Will be back if mochi ramen still on their menu
I love their mochi ramen and chicken karrage. I did order a side of garlic to boost my ramen flavor. However, they charged $5 for a tiny cup of hot green tea that can’t be refilled…Eh… so don’t order drinks from them, they’re Expensive!! If the line isn’t too long, this is a good ramen place for you to try.
The noodle was al dente chewy, great.
Beware their noodles have no broth. You have to order chicken broth separately. The kiosk is where you start. Credit card only. No cash accepted. I was a tiny bit stuck with using the kiosk. Thankfully, no one was behind me since there was only one kiosk. Person in front had problems with credit card. The process got stuck, so all you see was spinning. We were told to take out credit card and re-insert. Food came out quick, since we were the only ones. We were given oil and vinegar and it really complimented the bowl of noodles. I over did it by pouring the whole thing in there, so it got very oily. But, the oil was not heavy. Not spicy but water should be nearby. That bowl came out to be $23 with tips. So be mindful. It is a splurge.

That's what AT sponsorships are for - and you are only paying 25% in the first year and then less in year two and three.
I beliebe @EternalAnt36 was sponsored by @PerceptiveWash44 and is now doing $25k/mo.
You can write on the top sellers profiles (type 'Top 10' in the searchbar) and then tap request sponsorship button after you found the guy or gal like to work with!
