my husband and i ate here on Saturday.
the server was quick and attentive. The food was amazing. my husband had the cheeseburger and said its the best he has ever had. i had the pasta primavera and it was to die for. each bite i could taste something different. would highly recommend and wished we lived closer to try this restaurant again..
The place is amazing.
Worth the trip every time. The decor is fantastic. Staff is great. The steak frites is my favorite.
Nice restaurant with atmosphere.
The waiter was so friendly. I had never been in but it was recommended by my colleagues. I got the lemonade and drank 2.5 glasses after walking around the monuments that day. They had a special of crab and shrimp cocktail as an appetizer. It was really good. I ordered the salad with the salmon. Man, it was great. The atmosphere was fun. I’d go back.

I came here around 10pm, and they were one of the only spots open at that time. I came from Look Cinemas who were out of ALL food. I was understandably hungry as hadn't eaten dinner. I came in, sat down, and ordered a Salmon Salad and Calamari for app. Half an hour later, Calamari came. Very breaded and a bit salty, but still good. Salmon Salad was pretty awesome. Everything on the plate tasted good. Mixed greens was pretty solid. The salmon made it taste better. Food was solid here, though bit overpriced as one can tell. I said to my waiter, I need the recipe for this. He was like "I know right?" But I was actually being serious. Overall, great spot for dinner. I live close by so who knows, maybe I'll be back again. Filled my stomach up completely!
It's a Great American Restaurant.
Of course it's gonna be great! They don't really specialize in any particular cuisine, but they have all the GAR classics. Service is quick and the staff are professional. You can enjoy a fine dining experience and be in and out in 30 minutes if you know what you want. Plenty of seating as well as bar seating. My personal favorite items are the Ozzy rolls (I mean, those things are straight up addicting!!), cheddar cheeseburger, and flourless chocolate waffle. But you can't go wrong ordering anything here. They have every dish down to a science.

Good food. Pleasant atmosphere. It's been reliable for the 10 years I've been going there. It offers a range of menu choices that fit whatever food mood I'm in.

Lunch for three was delicious, with good service, pleasant outdoor seating, and great prices. You can't go wrong with Great American Restaurants.
Dinner With the Wife
Went with wife while in town based upon the reviews of this site. First the rolls and butter are most excellent. Had a Wood grilled filet which was excellent. Everything was fantastic including the service.
Tara was such an amazing server.
Very knowledgeable and welcoming. Food was pretty good too
Jackson with Friends
It was our first visit but friends had recommended it. It did not disappoint. Serve was excellent, staff was attentive and courteous. We had cocktails and appetizer. The crab and shrimp fritters are a must try. The portions were large and the food tasted delicious. Will try again.

3.5/5 Sunday Dinner Review. My friend made reservations but I got there about 5-10 minutes early. They said they didn't have her reservation? but that it was ok because they weren't that busy. Our waitress was lovely! She was attentive, funny, and great! Was patient when we were catching up. The food was alright. I got the steak frites ($34) and it was tender but something was lacking, it came with fries and a field greens salad (pretty big portion). My friend got the crabcake entree (market price $38) which came with fries. She also got the walnut goat cheese salad--which she stated was very good. My other friend got a cheeseburger, she could only finish half of it. They have a cute bar area and I think an outdoor bar space as well. Parking in the orange lot is free for Jackson's customers--it was the weekend so I didn't have to worry about it!
Food was good, we really enjoyed the jambalaya.
I think the lobster roll could have been a little better due to its market price but the rest of the food was good. The ozzie rolls are always a favorite and the ambiance is very lively. Service was nice and attentive.
Very quick service even though the restaurant was busy.
We had to wait about 10-15 min for a table, but once we were seated the server was very prompt. I got the lobster roll which was amazing! Overall, I liked the atmosphere and will definitely come back here when I'm in Reston again!
Everything I've had here is simply delicious.
Service is unsurpassed as the Manager quickly becomes a source for guidance for even the most sophisticated and difficult (finicky) diner. We never had to ask for anything. Waters were always kept topped and frequent wellness checks were the norm. Very clean, very fresh and very good!
Good food and great service
Although a regular during Covid with its outside tables, we haven't visited for a while and when our son visited for my wife's Birthday, we came to Jackson's for dinner. We of course miss the marinated steak they used to have many years ago. Patrick was our server and was attentative and make my wife's Birthday special with its well-known bread pudding. For appetizers crab fritters and main course drunken rib eye served medium, a caesar salad with the special mahi mahi, chopped salad and crab cakes. All the food was served warm and an enjoyable meal. Oh the bread basket is good just remember to ask if its extra. A nice visit.
Beautiful decor & excellent food
My wife and I returned here tonight because of the gorgeous poinsettias throughout. My wife had the rib eye and I had a cheeseburger. Both were excellent. The only negatives were that my med rare CB came out wed well. The waiter cheerfully replaced it, but it took forever. Also, getting a coffee refil took way too long. No worries... we'll be back.BTW: parking is next door - and free.

Excellent service, great food & great ambiance. Loved the nostalgic look of dining area with nostalgic murals on the wall. Ordered salmon, hong kong sea bass, jambalaya & trout! All delicious & beautifully presented. Never felt rushed! Highly recommended!

I tried to make a res at Jackson"s for a large family dinner. I was told they don't seat parties of 12! I asked for 2 tables of 6, next to each other. Mgr could NOT guarantee that! I'm glad Jackson"s business is SOOO good that they can turn down a large reservation!

Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!

I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.

It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
