Overall good experience.
Great service, on arrival staff were lovely. Huge room, unfortunately the toilet was broken but they repaired it whilst we were out for the evening . The room was very stuffy and if you had the window open you heard traffic noise. The bed however was super comfy and we both slept well. Breakfast was mediocre. Eggs (poached and scrambled) were very over cooked but my partner said his steak was cooked well. Everything was lukewarm despite appearing to have been freshly prepared. So a mixed review but staff are lovely and attentive, room was clean and bed comfy. We would stay again.
Be the first to ReplyA great place to stay
Stayed here to attend a wedding at nearby West Tower. The accommodation and restaurant are a really good standard and helpful staff. Lovely countryside setting, only a few miles to the amazing beach at Formby
Be the first to ReplyClean room, but freezing and smelly
Cannot fault the room, was immaculate. They upgraded us because we had heard that some rooms were cold. Our room was freezing, the heating wasn't working, it was 5ยฐC outside. We were given two different excuses why it was not working. Luckily, the bathroom had two heated towel rails. Not much help, but a bit of heat. There was also a consistent smell of drains. Coincidentally there was a drain clearance van outside when we left. We couldn't open a window in the bedroom to let the smell out either. The breakfast was a joke. There were no pastrys and the fruit juices were put out the night before. However, the cooked breakfast was OK, but we had to ask for everything coffee, milk, butter. I would not recommend staying here, unless they confirm the heating is working beforehand.

Was booked in here for work and we had the best night. Breakfast was top notch. Beds comfy and bar staff great. Couldnโt recommend this hotel enough and Iโll be bringing the mrs for a nice break away soon.
Be the first to ReplyAmazing breakfast
Stayed for one night and the bedroom was lovely and clean. Super king bed was huge. Had a very filling cooked breakfast which kept me going all day whilst travelling back to Birmingham. Will certainly book again.
Be the first to ReplyVile treatment by a member of staff !
To be told I was a shank ! By a member of staff is appalling !!! We complained about the steak not being itโs normal standard and thatโs what the waitress called me !! I do apologise for informing a member of staff the steak wasnโt up to its normal standard !!! I did not deserve to be talked to like that ! The management refuse to believe my facts and seem to think itโs ok to call a customer names !
Be the first to ReplyThe worst experience in my life
I have never in my life been so insulted by a member of staff to be insulted beyond belief the staff member called me a stank ! My friend and I had the worst experience ever! Ben the manager was very considerate for his staff ! The food was not the best ! But the attitude on the member of staff was so upsetting calling a customer a stank is beyond words and Miller and Carter get your staff sorted

My husband and I stayed for one night here. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are spotless, we were in the room with the roll top Bath. Which was amazing. Would definitely stay here again.
Be the first to ReplyReally not worth the money
The rooms were clean, the staff were friendly but the price was extortionate for the room and the breakfast. Perhaps paid a premium due to it being race week but would not return or recommend. The evening meal in Miller & Carter wasnโt worth the money and the fact the waitress was embarrassed when serving breakfast says it all. Sour dough toast with whipped avocado and balsamic tomatoes and scrambled eggs on sour dough toast that looked like dried popcorn. Was not sour dough, cheap nasty value sliced loaf at best but apparently the menu had just changed so ๐คท๐ฝ โ๏ธ
Be the first to ReplyGreat quiet stay perfect for Aintree
Invited to the Grand National and wanted to stay over, so picked this location to make it easier to get to and from Aintree by train. Great hotel with a really good restaurant and very friendly staff. Rooms are big and well appointed with fantastic beds to help sleep off a bit of a hangover - which was helped the next morning with a steak breakfast. Superb.
