Literally the finest carbonara we've ever had and we seek it out- even in Italy. Chef Denny Imbroisi innovates a fantastic menu in addition to the house favorite, carbonara. Marion was fantastic in creating a magical front of house experience- thank you!The special olive oil from Sicily was exceptional and you can take home a bottle. :)We will be back next time we are here!Merci!

I had my eye on this place for quite some time now because I creeped the beautiful pictures on Instagram but was worried I wouldn't like the pasta because of my difficult relationship with pasta cooked al dente. In Italy, 90% of the time I thought the pasta was too hard, and to me it just seemed undercooked. I decided that I didn't like this style of cooking pasta. WRONG. I just have been going to the wrong places.Cooked to a PERFECT al dente, I cannot even begin to describe in words how A-MAZING the first bites were. The sauce had just the right consistency and was not overly heavy, the parmesan bits were delicately surrounding the pasta, the egg brought everything together, and the HAM. Let me talk about that ham - the thinnest prosciutto ever (I could probably see your face through it) and MELTED in my mouth. All I wanted was MORE.Maybe it's a big claim to say it's the best carbonara in the world because I haven't been to all the restaurants in Italy, but I can definitely claim that it is the best one in Paris. Everything just works together so well. No pasta dish in my life has been executed with such harmony of all the ingredients and legit it's like a work of art. If you love carbonara, do yourself a huge favour and come here to experience it like you have never before. You will be ruined for life from all others, I promise you.Ps. Bonus points to the Denny Imbroisi olive oil served here with the bread. Anyone who knows me, knows that I LOVE a good olive oil. The one here is no exception.

Located in the 15th arrondissement, so not a hipster neighborhood, but amazing food. You have to go with a multi-course fixed menu, so it's either 5 or 7 courses. There's also a "pasta only" menu. Come hungry and walk away full! The Carbonara is the real "star" here. Denny is usually "in the house". If you're lucky, he'll share some of his Papà's homemade "Limoncello". Seasonal outdoor seating as well.

Amazing restaurant! The chef was on Top Chef France a few years ago and went on to work at some prestigious fine dining restaurants in Paris before opening his own place, Ida. This time he is taking the lead and going back to his Italian roots for our great pleasure. For starters I had cantaloupe gazpacho with grilled octopus, it was fresh and packed with flavors, a delicious summer treat! Next I had the spaghetti carbonara. It is one of my favorite dishes and one I often find myself ordering at Italian restaurants, usually to my disappointment. Not this time. It is absolutely marvelous, the best I have ever tasted, and dare I say it, better than in Italy. It is a twist on the original recipe (no cream, don't worry), but I think it actually makes it better! To end this fabulous meal on a high note we had the tiramisu with fresh berries. It was light and soft, sweet and tart, crispy and smooth, everything you could hope for and then more. Overall an excellent restaurant, staffed with very friendly and efficient people, just don't let the slightly uninspired décor and steep prices (for the area) put you off, I personally can't wait to go back.
