There food is great, the parking is terrible and they don't answer the phone. So basically if you're lucky enough to find parking try it out otherwise not worth the headache.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent service, good food, polite employees.
Was there on Mother's Day...place was overflowing with customers. Soy Mai was excellent. Best dim sum place in SLC.
Be the first to ReplyHonestly don't see what the hype is about.
The food was below average and definitely not authentic. We ordered siu mai, har gow, steamed pork on the bone, crispy pork belly, roast duck, and steamed shrimp rolls. The duck was $17 for half and only 3 pieces came with meat. It tasted overcooked and dry. Like they gave us reheated duck. The rest of it was 99% bone and skin. I feel the rule of thumb is to judge its place by the siu mai and har gow and I can honestly say they were both so average. The steamed shrimp rolls had barely any soy sauce on them. The only good thing about this place is the service, the two ladies were quiet but very nice and accommodating. Also PARKING IS SO HARD. There's not enough places to park!
Be the first to ReplyVery good dimsum.
High quality, fresh and large variety. We were there later on a weekend and had to order by menu. I don't think this place does carts but I could be wrong

This is the real deal - we've had Dim Sum all over the world, and can honestly say we never expected to have our best experience in Salt Lake City... but there it is. The sesame balls are incredible, and the custards even better. Dish after dish bowled us over, and not a single one was forgettable.
Be the first to Replyi head it's not authentic and bad so I never try.
Ordered kung pao chicken just because our team is doing group order and the senior person strongly want hong kong tea house.I ordered kung pao chicken the safest choice. It was actually way beyond expectation.authentic flavor, very well balance of diced chicken and mystery vegetable.the diced white vege.....thought it's potatoes but actually not, super crunchy and paired really well with chicken. I guess I need to call the restaurant to ask...it's really good

I would recommend that Dim Summers wait for all the dishes to get to the table before taking a picture. The waitress was very nice and helped me order based on my preferences. Most importantly, the food was amazing and I left full.10/10 experience will devour again.
Be the first to ReplyI ordered the stir fried shrimp.
It came out not cooked at all, but when I complained, the waitress said "you don't know what you're talking about". After about 5 minutes arguing with the waitress, the manager finally came out and we argued for 5 more minutes. Because we dared to send back an item, the manager started yelling at us about how we shouldn't come back. Imagine thinking we would come back after arguing / yelling at us for 10 minutes about obviously uncooked food. Anyways, that's my story, I suggest going somewhere else unless you want your fried rice served with a side of anxiety.

Looking for Chinese food, and selected Hong Kong Tea House because it was close to our hotel. Kind of wondered if we should go else where when we pulled up, but decided to give them a try. Glad we did the service was friendly and fast. The food was very good! We will remember this place the next time we are in Salt Lake.

I really want to give this restaurant zero stars ,This is the worst restaurant I have ever seen. There was no service, bad tone, and a forced 20% tip. To the American guests"thank you for waiting.". Yelling at us. Discrimination. Disgusting waiter.

This is a pretty good establishment for dim sum! We were in the area and decided to try this out. We ordered Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce, pork dumplings, and some crispy noodles. They were all pretty good and I would definitely come back for the food as well as the service! The food is pretty authentic as far as dim sum goes!

BFF loves Cantonese style Chinese which is hard to find in So Cal so we came across this place and decided to give it a try. Everything was delicious. IMO Cantonese is more flavorful then Mandarin.Located in a not so desirable part of downtown, don't let the look fool you. Place was busy and you know it's good if it has plenty of customers. I didn't rate this 5 stars because everything is a la carte so it can be pricey. Also, the service wasn't excellent just "ok" but in their defense they were pretty busy.
