Best soup beef noodle in Singapore
I have eaten at this stall for close to 40 years when the owner Tony's father was operating it at Keok Road and later at Cuppage Food Centre before moving to its present location. The soup version is better than the dry version. The beef is tender and the broth is very tasty. Even the chili sauce has the right level of spiciness and tanginess. No wonder it was awarded the Michelin Bib Gourmand. Order the beef kway teow soup. The best Hainanese beef noodle soup you can get in Singapore!

Amoy Street Food Centre has its fair share of Michelin recommended hawker food. While foodies usually travel here for the well publicised and more media savvy A Noodle Story and Ah Ter Fishball Noodles, a lesser known but equally must-try is this Beef Noodle. Menu starts from $4 / $5 and $6. They have sliced fresh beef, beef tripe, braised briskets and beef ball on offer. Go big or go home as I always say, for the $6 version you get everything in your bowl of noodles. Offered in both soup or dry versions, I would strongly recommend Dry version, and thick bee hoon as the noodle type. Authentic old school hainanese beef noodles in its most original form. Thick, gooey beef broth coats the al dente noodles packs a punch as you chew along with beans sprout, pickles veg and fried shallots providing crisp and crunch. The fresh beef slices were cooked just right and you can see the pinks in the thinly sliced fresh beef. Not over cooked and just the right doneness for taste and bite. The braised briskets were superbly tender snd flavourful. Thin strips of chewy tripe and bouncy beef ball completes the whole experience of choices and flavour. The unique beef noodle chilli has lime already mixed in, give depths to the broth coated noodles. For a taste of old school Hainanese eats, this is a must try.

Its all in the broth. This noodle stall offers a pretty respectable serving of beef noodles. Together with the standard cilantro, green onion and hot sauce added to it, it is Chinese soul food. Most likely there are other noodle stalls around Singapore that offer better soup but we have limited time to run around Singapore judging food stalls. As it goes, we gave it two thumbs up!

On the pricy side for beef noodles at $6 a pop. But the beef is tender and fresh. The soup didn’t have that rich earthy taste of meat you get from the best beef noodle places. Beef balls were a bit too chewy.

I ordered the soup version but was ultra-mega disappted
the soup was bland , while the meat is fresh
but I don't taste anything that worth a Michelin at all or worth the price
It doesn't worth the effort at all, glad tht it doesn't have a long queue
Expected it to be tastier
Ordered the dry beef noodle as per online recommendations. It was ok but was expecting something more amazing.
