This was my second time to come here.
Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. However, I will say this time they messed up my order in a bad way - I came here with four work colleagues and we each ordered steak. Each of my coworkers' steaks were cooked to order except for mine: a medium rare comes out well done and it cut like shoe leather. Ten minutes after delivery, our waitress comes to the table to check on us and I tell her mine is not right. She checks with the kitchen and it will be about 15-20 minutes before a replacement can be brought out. I declined, as by that time my coworkers were nearly finished with their meal. While they did remove the charge for me, I left hungry as well as disappointed as for the second time in a row my meal was ruined by the staff. It's not cheap eating here. I would highly recommend you look for another place to dine.

I came here for dinner with work friends and we had a nice time - the food was very good and the service was excellent. We had a variety of appetizers as well as steaks: don't pass up getting the maple bacon to go with your steak (the bacon order is enough for two). If you walk out of here hungry, something is wrong!

We are in London for our 30 anniversary and were wandering around looking for a place to eat and quite by accident fell into Hawksmoor Guildhall. It was quite easily one of the best meals we've ever eaten. Our waiters, Chris and Marina treated us like we are in there weekly. They both guided us through the English menu and could not have been more gracious hosts. Recommend as highly as possible.

From the service, presentation, and the food itself...I'd do this 100x times again. Can't miss food experience in London. Black pudding was amazing and bone marrow was just so over the top. So much meat....I'll never forget this experience.

This is such a cool spot for breakfast (or probably any meal). Make sure you get a reservation though since it was busy when we went!We were seated right away and had great service the whole time. I loved the old world atmosphere of the place with the wood paneling and large, almost banquet hall, dining area. The food was so hearty and had large portions like a feast so it matched its location well.I tried the corn flake milk shake (yes get this even for breakfast!) and it was YUM. Probably even better with alcohol but I couldn't manage that at that hour. I also tried the bacon sandwich which was much bigger then I expected! Come hungry no matter what you order! The meat served here is cooked to perfection (tried my husband's bacon chop as well). You have to make sure to stop by for a meal here; it was unlike anywhere else we dined in London on our trip and we weren't hungry until dinner!

Possibly the best ribeye I've ever had (and I've eaten a lot of steak). Perfectly cooked medium rare, just the right amount of sear. I'm still drooling over it. The restaurant itself is a large, roomy location right next to Guildhall, and it takes reservations which is excellent. The only downside is the room is super loud and the acoustics are terrible for conversation. Shoutout to our sommelier who recommended a fantastic bottle of wine - perfect for the steaks and our preferences. Sides were good too (creamed spinach, mushrooms, and chips), and the bone marrow side that I got with my steak was perfect. The sticky toffee pudding was divine, and the chocolate hazelnut dessert was super decadent and basically a ginormous Ferrero Rocher (but they can't "legally" use the name). Overall a hearty, delicious meal and the steaks lived up to their reputation.

This place was highly recommended so we went! And I'm so glad we did. It's a plate of meat galore if you order the special breakfast/brunch. I could eat that all day! It comes with everything in that photo and if you want more bread, you could ask for more! There were some meats better than others, but overall, great flavor. The restaurant itself was huge. You see a lot of people here during lunch break from work - it looked like a place of business men and women. If back, I'd try more on the menu.
Be the first to ReplyGreat English breakfast and dinner.
I thought the food was so great I came here again for dinner! The staff is even friendlier and they remembered me from the morning! The bartenders are great and very personable. Great local place for a drink and food. Very traditional English and the dining area is beautiful and basic. No complaints Redactions recommended but you can walk in and sit at the bar or their bar area. I would come back in a heart beat the meat selection is ex

Wonderful restaurant in the city of London where me and my friend had a dry aged rumpsteak with some chips. The service was wonderful and the food tastes great.

* * * EXPERIENCE * * *Made a 9am reservation on a Wednesday, the restaurant was not even half full. It looked like it was half white collars and half tourists. The place was very spacious, with nice service from my server. There were quite a lot of choices on the menu, but I just went straight to the English breakfast.* * * FOOD * * *Full English Breakfast: A-Everything tasted great. If I have to choose, I would say the eggs tasted the best, different from typical eggs and I felt they were just more... fresh? Not sure if it's the right word but I felt I was eating next to a farm looking over a pasture. The bacon was very good too, lots of flavor and it was not over cooked. The mushroom and tomato were nice too. The beans however was slightly on the sour side and I wasn't a big fan for it.Hawksmoor is known for their steak, I read reviews about their great English breakfast which brought me there. I don't have anything to compare as it was my 1st experience, but I would pick a more local, English breakfast centric restaurant next time.
Be the first to ReplyOrdered a rare filet.
It was barely medium. A coworker ordered hers medium well, and mine looked about the same. Another coworker ordered his bone-in steak medium rare, and his was bloody. I left half of my steak on the plate because it was completely cooked through. When the waiters picked it up, no one asked why I didn't finish it. Would not go back.

A feast and hands down and thumbs up the best full English breakfast ever, anytime or anywhere. The black pudding was succulent and a hint of spice, the fried eggs had a smokey char and the orange yolks just perfect for dipping with the fresh and delicious toasted bread. The sausage and bacon were perfection, and the assorted natural sides of grilled mushroom, tomatoes and beans all ideal. Washed down with strong and rich coffee and what could be better?
Be the first to ReplyPricey but delicious.
I had the haddock, bone marrow, and sticky toffee and they were all delicious. The waiter even gave me a complementary glass of the most amazing sherry I have ever had. I went alone and I felt very welcomed. I would recommend it for a romantic date night or some good old fashioned "me time."
