LOVE this spot.
Brought my boyfriend here for his birthday dinner and we both left so satisfied. Service was great, ambiance was cozy, and the food was so delicious. While everything was delicious, the pork Milanese is dream worthy. The olive oil cake was also to die for. Such a gem.

I came to Hart's many years ago, and returned recently with pleasant but vague memories. Hart's is part of the same family as The Fly, which explicitly brands itself as a "chicken bar," and yet somehow the menu here is less vegetarian friendly. We had just finished sharing two massive slices of sourdough, and I was looking forward to the custom vegetarian dish that had been promised by the kitchen. What a surprise it was when out came the piece de resistance, two MORE pieces of sourdough bread, this time fried and covered with a cassoulet-esque tomato bean sauce. While I do appreciate the creativity, doesn't bread with tomato sauce feel a bit like what your college roommate who never cooked before makes after a long night out freshman year? Keeping two stars because the ricotta doughnuts were good.
Be the first to ReplyWhat a great time! Hart's was a great intimate evening.
The restaurant is small, cozy but warm and inviting. The dim lights create such a romantic and private atmosphere even while sitting next to other tables. It was a nice evening of good service, great conversation and a lovely atmosphere. The food was also very good. The donut appetizer was savory and delicious. The clam toast was pretty good. The trout was incredible. It was light but filling and tasty. I would return just for that dish. The lamb burger was also a hit. The pork dish was good as well. We didn't really enjoy the lemon curd dessert but the drinks and wine selections were all wonderful.

Harts is a hidden gem that captivates with its seasonal culinary delights. The ever-changing menu keeps things fresh, offering a delightful variety. Despite the cozy space and limited room between patrons, the charm of this small restaurant adds to its appeal. The staff's warmth and attentiveness contribute to a welcoming atmosphere. The standout feature, however, is the exceptional drinks - from a remarkable wine selection to creatively crafted beverages, it truly excels in the art of libations. It's a must-visit for those who appreciate both outstanding cuisine and a cozy, intimate setting.
Be the first to ReplyGood food! Very attentive service.
Best thing we ate the appetizers, ricotta with pesto and hazelnuts, and romanesco with yogurt. Entrees were fish-based and satisfying. The staff comped us an aperitif for our anniversary, very nice.

Food was not worth pre-fix price but the mussels and bread dish was great. Ambiance was great but was there last night for the set menu and the vibe and service were good but the other dishes main& apple pie were not warm enough for me. The salad was not platted in a way that you could appreciate the food. My dinner date had to reorient it.

I came here on a recommendation from a local barista who raved about The Fly and here. i wanted to like it more, but the experience as someone who couldn't have gluten was lacking. I opted for two smaller dishes because the only main dish option would have been a whole fish and some ramps. I wanted a bit more variety, so I got the Louisiana prawns w/capers (hot) and asparagus & mortadella (cold). The prawns came out first, and the asparagus arrived when I was about halfway through. They were both tasty and balanced dishes, but I was disappointed because I had no way to enjoy the garlic-y buttery broth from the prawns or the flavorful dressing on the asparagus because there was no gluten-free bread. The folks seated next to me were digging into their small plates with hulks of delicious looking bread. I felt like i missed out on a major part of the experience of the dish. My server could have done a better job of recommending dishes. I'd give this place another chance if I were with a friend and could justify trying more dishes.

Hart's, sister restaurant of Cervo's, is a great place for dinner in Bed-stuy/Crown Heights. The seafood here is delicious!! My favorite dish of the night was the clam toast because the broth was delicious and the toast soaked it up so well. I wish I ordered a second one, it was that good. The piri piri chicken had great flavor and was well-seasoned and well cooked. I knew it would be great because the owner of Hart's has a chicken restaurant called The Fly nearby. The hake was so well cooked because the skin was so crisp and the fish was still most. Will definitely come back!! * arancini 10/10 * clam toast 11/10 (I would come back just for this dish) * piri piri chicken 10/10 * hake 10/10 The spot is very intimate and dark so I think it'll be great for a date. The bar is great and has a ton of selections. The restaurant is tiny so I advise making a reservation in advance.
Be the first to ReplySo, I took my girl out on a date here.
The place was small but comfortable. Seats about 20-24 people. A good spot for a date night.Felt it was pricey for what we got. We shared everything. The food was ok but honestly there just wasn't anything we tasted that we would have to come back for.She ordered the perfect martini which was pretty good. I got the boulevardier then just a ginger beer. The Bourbon drink was okay but I enjoyed the ginger beer better plus it was less than half the price lolWe shared their:anchovies on toast and buttermarinaded beets, grapefruit and horseradishbraised endive, mussels and hazelnutSwordfish, creamy potatoes, fennel and salsa VerdePoached pear, creme anglaise, pistachio and chocolate Sadly, out of all of it.... think our favorite thing was the anchovies on toast which was pretty pricey. So $14 for 2 crostinis with seasoned butter and anchovies... OuchI wasn't a fan of the beets dish, least favorite...The mussels and endive dish was pretty good. The swordfish dish was ok but upsetting that my favorite part was the potatoes and not the fish. The dessert was ok but I wouldn't get it again. The staff was great. Always available and quick to help, serve, clear... Just pricey for not liking most of it... For just the 2 of us we burned $160 plus tip... If I enjoyed the majority of the food, I think it would have been a good price point....feel like this was certainly more hype than anything else...
Be the first to ReplyFood is absolutely delicious and unique, the service
Food is absolutely delicious and unique, the service definitely left a bad taste in the mouth. Servers seemed uninterested and silent. They barely spoke more then 10 words to us the whole time, and only once did they announce the name of the dish. It just felt like we were bothering them more than be served by them. Nothing was trying to be sold to us and no engagement was made. The seating is clunky and despite other tables available the host sat us in what I would say is the worst table in the house. These servers are identical to the ones from tik tok that hilariously features server not giving a shit about making any tips. So i guess get pick up if you want to try it.

We've only been here once and it has already become by far one of our fave places - not just in Brooklyn, but all of NYC. From start to finish, everything was amazing. Our server knew just exactly what kind of chilled red we wanted and the amount of food he recommended was perfect. Everything was just so well put together and came out at the right times. From the moment we tried the excellent bread and olive oil, we know this spot was going to be a fave for years to come. So glad we finally tried.
Be the first to ReplyThe food was delicious, and the wait staff was amazing.
I highly recommend. What keeps me from giving it 5 stars is that the music was really loud to communicate.
Be the first to ReplyI'm not sure how to describe the food other than perfection.
When I took a bite into the tuna appetizer I actually had to take a moment for myself. I went with three girlfriends, we ordered lots of wine (they have a great list), and every single appetizer, along with the fish. I should've taken a picture of the menu, but it was pretty dark. The menu changes so I won't list what we had, but every single thing was remarkable. The sauces on all dishes stole the show. This review doesn't do this place justice, but all I know is that I'll be coming back every single time there's a menu change. My gawd.

New american restaurant, pricey plates, imo not worth it for price- the type of new American dishes that are served are personally too bland for me as a chili oil addict. But food is fresh and if you like things like baloney and paying $30 per dish it's probably the place for you.

Loved hart's and think it's a great date night spot! The food and drinks were incredible! Wish there was a vegetarian main but the appetizers were incredible and you can get a couple to make your main! Can't wait to come back :)
Be the first to ReplyWonderful spot.
Small venue with a cozy atmosphere. The food was outstanding. A nice variety and everything we tried was delicious. The chef was able to modify the dishes for food allergies. The staff were friendly and attentive. Highly recommend this little charmer.

Great, great place! The ambiance inside is nice - intimate with just a few tables. The staff is super attentive and kind. I loved all the small plates we tried, but my favorites were the shrimp and the chicory. Definitely a kind of place where you want to order a few dishes for the table and try everything. Can't wait to return!

I wanted to go somewhere within walking distance from my place that had solid seafood options--upon walking in, the ambiance of the place felt cozy and intimate. The close seating and the candles make this place a great date spot. The food was good--it wasn't amazing or great, but everything tasted simple, clean, and fresh. I expected the heirloom tomatoes to be cold, but they weren't, which caught me off guard on my first bite. The room temp tomatoes actually went well with the clams, so I didn't mind. The swordfish was extremely meaty, and it cut more like a steak or piece of chicken. The portions were just right for two people who weren't all that hungry--would visit again, probably for drinks and a simple appetizer.

Went to Hart's with my boo for our anniversary dinner after hearing a lot of good things about it. The menu was a little different from what was online; it's seasonal and changes frequently, so just be aware of that. The space is vibey and cute, if a bit cramped. (Def gotta remember to use your indoor voice.) The servers were all very sweet, and they even sent the wine guy over to help us select a wine, which was great. The one miss for me was unfortunately the first thing that came out: the pea shoots in the salad were a little too tough for me to swallow. I always debate whether or not to be honest in these situations, but when someone asks me directly, I cannot tell a lie. (It was also kind of obvious from the fact that I wasn't eating it.) I let them know as politely as possible (although of course now I am lying awake wondering if I was rude) and they took it off the bill. People with less sensitivity to roughage than me may like it just fine. I was a little bit scared that the clam toast would be too chewy as well and make me look like a weirdo who doesn't know my own sensory aversions, but the clam toast was 100% perfect. There's a reason it doesn't come off the menu! The entrees were also great. I got a perfectly cooked piece of trout with a sweet (but not too sweet) Italian sauce called agradulce (sp?) and my boo loved his pork Milanese. My only gripe, entrees wise, is that neither came with any kind of starch, and I was still somewhat hungry by the end. But that just meant I had room for dessert, which I am never mad about. Def get the olive oil cake if you are down for dessert. It's a nice, moist cake that comes with a tasty fruit topping. They even brought us a couple of glasses of sherry on the house when they found out it was our anniversary! All in all, I really liked the food and general vibe here, and I'm sorry I spat so much salad into my napkin. I was stoned and took a few big bites before I realized I wasn't gonna be able to swallow it. I will be back to try more of the menu once I re-up on funds.

Had a great time sitting outside at Hart's for drinks and snacks. We just walked up so there wasn't room in the cute, quaint indoor space but it was fine outside. Their vermouth spritz was incredible, one of the best I've had. We also tried the tuna crudo, the clam toast and the artichoke. Everything had really great flavors and the seafood was fresh and good quality. Nothing let us down here so will definitely need to come back to try some more!
Be the first to ReplyAlways great.
Always fun. Food is awesome and service is great.Go for the clams and the burger!
Be the first to ReplyThis is suuuuuuchhhhh a good lil date spot.
Cozy atmosphere, a little loud but in a comfy way. The menu changes often but we've eaten a ton of great things here. Only snag is if you get here late, a dish might be sold out, but even if it's missing something, there's plenty of great food here.
