Hart's Reviews from The Last Year
LOVE this spot.
Brought my boyfriend here for his birthday dinner and we both left so satisfied. Service was great, ambiance was cozy, and the food was so delicious. While everything was delicious, the pork Milanese is dream worthy. The olive oil cake was also to die for. Such a gem.

I came to Hart's many years ago, and returned recently with pleasant but vague memories. Hart's is part of the same family as The Fly, which explicitly brands itself as a "chicken bar," and yet somehow the menu here is less vegetarian friendly. We had just finished sharing two massive slices of sourdough, and I was looking forward to the custom vegetarian dish that had been promised by the kitchen. What a surprise it was when out came the piece de resistance, two MORE pieces of sourdough bread, this time fried and covered with a cassoulet-esque tomato bean sauce. While I do appreciate the creativity, doesn't bread with tomato sauce feel a bit like what your college roommate who never cooked before makes after a long night out freshman year? Keeping two stars because the ricotta doughnuts were good.
What a great time! Hart's was a great intimate evening.
The restaurant is small, cozy but warm and inviting. The dim lights create such a romantic and private atmosphere even while sitting next to other tables. It was a nice evening of good service, great conversation and a lovely atmosphere. The food was also very good. The donut appetizer was savory and delicious. The clam toast was pretty good. The trout was incredible. It was light but filling and tasty. I would return just for that dish. The lamb burger was also a hit. The pork dish was good as well. We didn't really enjoy the lemon curd dessert but the drinks and wine selections were all wonderful.
Amazing dining experience!
Wow! First time here but they made us feel like familiar regulars! Superior and very attentive service in cozy upscale interior. We really wanted to try everything we could so had 5 “starters” that were each amazing and wonderful. Menu changes daily and seasonally were told, but loved the sweet potatoes w/tahini & cilantro. Citrus salad was sooo yummy! Butterhead lettuce w/horseradish & capers & onions delightful! The ricotta w/chard was spectacular. Clam toast w/pancetta was delicious small clams and excellent toast. Then had marvelous steelhead trout w/olives, lentils & yogurt. Accompanying all this we had multiple cocktails and paired wine. Had both desserts—improbable sounding olive oil cake w/apple butter & cream was heaven, and the almond torte w/chocolate, pear & crème anglais was equally wonderful. We followed all that with aperitifs and left sated and happy. We both would very highly recommend chef Gillian and her amazing creations and staff! Highlight of our NYC visit!
Harts is a hidden gem that captivates with its seasonal
Harts is a hidden gem that captivates with its seasonal culinary delights. The ever-changing menu keeps things fresh, offering a delightful variety. Despite the cozy space and limited room between patrons, the charm of this small restaurant adds to its appeal. The staff's warmth and attentiveness contribute to a welcoming atmosphere. The standout feature, however, is the exceptional drinks - from a remarkable wine selection to creatively crafted beverages, it truly excels in the art of libations. It's a must-visit for those who appreciate both outstanding cuisine and a cozy, intimate setting.
Good food! Very attentive service.
Best thing we ate the appetizers, ricotta with pesto and hazelnuts, and romanesco with yogurt. Entrees were fish-based and satisfying. The staff comped us an aperitif for our anniversary, very nice.
Food was not worth pre-fix price but the mussels and bread
Food was not worth pre-fix price but the mussels and bread dish was great. Ambiance was great but was there last night for the set menu and the vibe and service were good but the other dishes main& apple pie were not warm enough for me. The salad was not platted in a way that you could appreciate the food. My dinner date had to reorient it.

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Can come from a lot of places, people who don't want to get charged their cancellation fee or people who just have them and cant go.

almost all restaurants aren't affiliated with AT and I'm guessing it's mostly people wanting to not pay cancellation fees.

Reservations could be posted for a variety of reasons. Most likely, the person who secured the reservation can no longer attend - to avoid accruing a "no show" fee, they can find someone to take their place.
