Excellent views
Nice experience. Carlos was excellent, even though they were short staffed! The Chardonnay and Cabernets were very tasty. They were a bit expensive, but probably expected for the area.
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful grounds and excellent wines
Hall ST. Helena is a beautiful place to visit, with a modern production facility and some of the best wines we had in Napa - the Kathryn Hall and Jack's Masterpiece cabernets were both wonderful. We did the Hall Tour and our host Luca was an excellent guide, and we enjoyed our time with him touring the grounds and then tasting some truly great wines. It didn't hurt that the other four guests who were part of our tour/tasting were also a fun group. This was our first trip to Napa and we were not disappointed, and Hall was one of our favorites. As we jokingly said afterwards: we went to see the bunny and came home with a few bottles of wine... and we'll be getting a few more every quarter now! A must-do on any Napa visit.
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful property and tasty wine
This was our first stop on our winery expedition. The grounds, the art, the wine were all great. This would be an excellent place to have a rehearsal dinner or some other large gathering. The winery has several sculptures and other art installations throughout the property that only adds to the overall experience. We did an upgraded tasting that allowed us to try some more select picks that were all very good. I am still new to the wine game, so I will not critique any of the specific tastings but as someone who has toured many distilleries and wineries, I would place this one in my top 10-15 across the US. Well worth a stop.
Be the first to ReplyModern bar atmosphere
My husband and I paid for the Art of Cabernet tasting. The tasting was standing up at the bar the whole time. The bar room was very modern, stainless steel, windows ceiling to floor. The server was very nice, knowledgeable and didnโt rush us. You could bring your wine outside on the patio or deck but there was no sitting and everything e you finished the wine you had to go back to the bar to get the next taste. They did not come to you. It was commercialized and we probably would not recommend it. The wines themselves were good, smooth and silky and we did buy a few bottles. They take care of the shipping for you , but if youโre looking for a great winery experience Hall was not that special.
Fun visit and grounds
Great tour with Ray. Showed us around property and told some great stories. Very modern new building and enjoyed video on winemaking. The wines are good but all reds. Would like to taste some whites as well. Private tasting was nice for our group
Be the first to ReplyUnderwhelmed and Annoyed
Underwhelmed and annoyed by the unnecessarily strict "rules" about who can sit where (not COVID related rules) and what and where you can taste. There are far too many great wineries around to waste an afternoon here.

We misread our schedule and missed our tour. Figured it was worth stopping by anyway on the assumption that the staff would help us salvage the situation. We were wrong. They gave us a short pour and suggested we do the self-guided tour.
After the โtourโ we asked if we could go to the tasting room. The answer was an unapologetic no.
We will not be back.
Great wine AND great art! (Ask for Mark!)
This place might be my absolute favorite winery. This was my third trip to Napa and first to Hall. The property is gorgeous. Art lovers will be delighted by all of the exceptional pieces throughout the property.
During our visit, we had the pleasure of having Mark as our tour guide. He was such a treat! He struck the perfect balance of being professional and fun. Of all the winery tours I've done in Napa, this is one of the best. We sampled some truly excellent wines- I even signed up for a membership!
You cannot go wrong here. Book it! Do the tour and then walk the grounds. It's perfect! Just make sure you give yourself a lot of time. I could have easily spent 3 hours here just checking out the art or lounging in one of their seating areas.
SUPERB!
We had the best experience @ Hall Wines. The gentleman who poured for us - Pedro - was so friendly and hospitable, their wines are phenomenal, and their facility is beautiful! We had such a great experience, we even signed up for their quarterly wine club. You NEED to visit Hall when you're in wine country! Mahalo Pedro and Hall!
Be the first to ReplyTasting grapes on the vineyard tour
We booked a tasting at this modern looking winery. A silver statue of a giant bunny greets you. The tour starts at the open area near the entry near large statues of camel and sheep. A refreshing glass of sauvignon blanc starts off the tour. Our guide takes the group to the pressing room and other rooms of the main building filled with contemporary art. The reds we taste near the vineyards. You can taste merlot or cabernet grapes from the vine. Very relaxing tour.
