The restaurant is sooo cutely decorated inside very much a fun vibe! Went on a Sunday night, it was busy and the food was AMAZING! Could have kept eating and there was so many things on the menu we wanted to try! We have the sushi below as well as the steamed pork gyoza and the steak yakitori! The bartender Sebastian was amazing and made us a delicious drink off the menu that couldn't have been more perfect! 10/10 experience!

At Haiku Restaurant, the cocktails, like the Empress and Samurai Old Fashioned, were delightful, though they arrived later than expected. The waitress appeared overwhelmed, leading to slow service. While the patio setting initially seemed appealing, the presence of nearby homeless individuals walking up to the hedge and asking for money disrupted the atmosphere. The spicy edamame, while flavorful, was a bit too intense to pair with drinks; opting for sea salt might be a better choice next time. The noise from the bar patrons and city streets made dining outside less enjoyable, prompting a desire to try dining indoors for a quieter experience in the future.
Be the first to ReplyWhat an amazing experience at Haiku .
Viv was very knowledgable about the menu while being truth about preferences which steered us into what we ate last night . It was soo pretty in there as well.

Trendy spot downtown,it is very pretty inside we had the dumplings and spicy miso soup to start , in our group we had the pork belly fried rice and a couple had the tonkatsu ramen all delicious, for dessert we ordered the matcha brownie sundae and the Japanese cheesecake . On the menu, it said a gratuity will be added for parties of six or more, we were 5 so I thought that was odd, so make sure you check to make sure the server doesn't add it to your check The cheesecake came out 20 minutes after the other dessert so there's the reason for four stars instead of five.

From entrance to exit, it was a great experience. The staff was all so lovely, especially our server Lily. She answered all our questions, helped us pick out some delicious options and had equally great taste in jewelry. We were on our way to the Straz for a show and Lily provided speedy service without anything feeling rushed. Thanks, Lily! P.s. check out Stranger Sings at the Straz!
Be the first to ReplyThe ambiance of the restaurant was elite and very welcoming.
The service was great and the waiter was very nice. I was a little disappointed with my meal. I ordered the shrimp ramen and i felt it lacked flavor. If I were to go o Haiku again I would definitely order something different. I am also interested to taste their cocktails since I have heard they are good. With the ambiance being so nice I expect the food to match and that is the main area I feel is lacking at Haiku. If Haiku can improve the flavor of the food I can see the restaurant overflowing with customers.

The sushi roll was so good! The chicken fried rice was average. My margarita was delicious. Service was not the best and our server wasn't very attentive. Disappointed in my expresso martini. In my opinion, it was a little on the overpriced side for the quality but I guess you're paying more because it's downtown
Be the first to ReplyThis is such a cool spot with great cocktails and food.
Haiku has a sort of high end, swanky energy to it without being too "try hard" like some of the other spots in Tampa. The waitstaff is attentive and knowledgeable about the menu which is very important for someone like me who asks a lot of questions, lol!

Great food, the perfect ambiance for a date night or a birthday. Everything tasted amazing! The service outstanding. This was my 1st time at Haiku. The only downfall is parking, I will definitely be back and recommend this restaurant!! If you're in the downtown Tampa area you definitely need to give them a try!

Visited Haiku restaurant; disappointed with the pricey and bland food served on plastic plates. The Espresso Martini was a letdown - more mix, less espresso. On a positive note, the ambience was decent. Service was okay. #HaikuExperience #MixedFeelings

They did a great job serving our large party of 12 on a Saturday night. Good vibes, good food, and great service!
Be the first to ReplyWe came here for a friend's birthday dinner.
The place is nicely decorated on the inside. We ordered two appetizers to try: Pork Bao buns and Miso Japanese Eggplant. The pork Bao bun was good, it could've had more flavor. We really enjoyed the eggplant appetizer. It had a delicious dipping sauce and was perfectly fried. For our entrees we tried the 'Pork Belly Fried Rice' and the 'Tonkatsu Shoyu Ramen'. The entrees were good. For drinks, I tried their lychee martini it was ok. Haiku had good service, our waitress was attentive and professional. They do have someone come take your photo and then try to get you to buy it, which I thought was interesting. The prices are on the higher end for what you're getting. I've been to other Asian restaurants with the same price point and have had more interesting food.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent food, drinks and environment.
Get there early as it does fill up quick! Definitely would recommend this place to anyone visiting Tampa.
Be the first to ReplyThis place is delicious and Instagram trendy.
This is definitely the place you can dress up and not feel out of place. There's tons of Instagram worthy backdrops all over this place. We came before watching a comedy show and it was a great place to grab a bite. I was really impressed with their happy hour menu, we tried almost everything. This is what we got and what I thought: Edamame with truffle salt - delicious, you could really smell the truffle. Tempura Shrimp - this was very good too. You get four pieces. Red Miso Shishito Peppers - I didn't like this and usually I love shishito peppers. I felt it was lacking seasoning. I'd skip it next time. Daily House Sushi Roll - it was a fully vegetarian roll other than crab and when she explained it, it didn't sound appetizing. I was wrong. I loved it. They definitely know how to get creative with rolls. There wasn't too much rice, which I like. Lychee Martini - I thought this was going to be sweet, but it was more tart and I felt the pineapple was a bit overwhelming. I'd skip it and try something off of their normal menu. Then from the normal menu a Volcano Roll, which was good, but when it's not off of their HH menu it's definitely pricey. Expect to pay higher prices for these rolls. Overall this place is enjoyable, but I can also see how people may feel it is overrated. It caters to the trendy crowd and has food that is good, but pricey. With other fun looking places in this area I'd branch out before coming back, but this is a place I can see myself returning to.

This is a cool restaurant for a date night with cute decor and photo ops!! Very nice staff as well. As a connoisseur of Japanese fare I was not impressed with the food. It's trendy and pretty but eh. That being said it isnt bad, just overpriced for what is being served. I am not sure if the ramen was homemade, and I probably could have went to a regular cheapy ramen spot and got something better. Great for picky eaters who want to feel something.Based on my experience there, you are paying for the experience not the food. The bar is cool though, I would give it another shot to check out the drinks and get dessert!!

GORGEOUS setting, creative Japanese-inspired cocktails, and plenty of delicious Asian fusion small plates! The octopus here is amazing, as is the pork belly. I've yet to try any of their sushi, although that is what they're known for. The chef here is spectacular, creative and kind! I love their chef's tasting dinners, which I wish they held more often. Excellent place to dress up for a night out!

Came here specifically for the crispy rice because I was craving it. The tuna was really good, salmon was a little fishier. Mango tuna stack was very good as well. Would recommend. Pork belly fried rice was awful, so salty. It tasted like it was made in soy sauce. Vegan ramen was not very good either. I asked to make it spicy and there were lots of veggies which was nice but the flavor wasn't there. Overall pretty expensive but the ambiance is nice. Live music was great. Service was good but a little slow. Came here to celebrate a birthday and had a good time but wouldn't come back.

In town for a convention, staying down by the arena and looking for a decent spot far enough away from the hotels to not see every other convention goer, but close enough for an easy in an out. This spot was a hit for my whole group. Great vibe, good food, solid service. Only knock was the food was a bit on the salty side which was too much for me, though no one else in my group mentioned it. Most definitely worth checking out.
Be the first to ReplyService was terrible.
Waitress was rude and up-charged our bill and there is an automatic 20% gratuity. Do not recommend.
Be the first to Replyterrible service.
Came in with a group over 6 so gratuity was automatically included, and it was clear our server Alyssa G knew that. It was our friends birthday and Alyssa asked if we wanted dessert, we said yes. She charged us for the most expensive one ($28!!!) - which we had no idea we'd be charged for a birthday dessert let alone the most expensive one. She ramped up the bill because gratuity was added automatically. Do not recommend
Be the first to ReplyHaiku definitely has a great vibe inside with flowers
Haiku definitely has a great vibe inside with flowers hanging from the ceiling and nice interior design. The starters were great but we were less impressed with the entrees. The Tempura Lobster Roll and Fried Gyoza were the best thing we ate. I definitely recommend those dishes. The Wagyu Beef Ramen was a little heavy on the beef broth and otherwise kind of bland. The Crispy Chicken Fried Rice was alright nothing outstanding especially at the price point. The Hibiscus Mule drink was very good. All in All the waitress was nice and the ambiance of the restaurant was nice paired with the great starters we give this a 3.5 because of the entrees. Still recommend if you want a nice vibe and would have to go back and give their other entrees a try. It is expensive for the total experience that you get though
Be the first to ReplyCute spot, lively and easy to locate.
The food was plentiful and delicious. Service gets busy, but servers are plentiful. Outdoor seating was delightful; indoors appeared a little crowded as it seemed small. I would willingly return.
Be the first to ReplyGood and drinks were fantastic.
I had the Waygu Beef Ramen and the meat was cooked well and the broth was flavorful.
