Guy Savoy Paris Reviews from The Last Year
One of the best
The best chef in the world! Great food and ambient! Fixed prices menu! Great cheese selection at the end of the dinner! Super!

They need to restore his third Michelin star ASAP!!! This was the most amazing dining experience I have had in my life. We were completely blown away. We came here for lunch and had been planning to do the smaller, seven course lunch menu. However, once we saw both menus, we decided to go for it with the full tasting menu, I think it was 11 courses. It actually ended up being way more than that because of all the amuse bouches. It was so much food! And all it was absolutely exquisite. The service is exactly what you expect of this world-class restaurant. What I loved was that Guy Savoy himself came around to all the tables and said hello and thanked us for being there. I can't even describe all the food except to say that it was incredibly delicious, creative, unique, and just perfect. Exquisite experience!!
So, during this most recent visit to Paris, I visited 5
So, during this most recent visit to Paris, I visited 5 different Michelin Restaurants Epicure Pur Septime L Tour Da Argant And Guy Savoy I would have to say that this place was our favorite overall. The food The Ambiance Comfort Cadence of dishes for the tasting menu And service was all at the top of the food chain literally and figuratively. Guy Savoy is located in what appears to be a historic building. The entrance is grand and beautiful. With a majestic staircase leading up to the restaurant. The dining rooms are dark, warm, and seductive. The service is first class, gracious and humble without pretense and on par with 3 star Michelin Restaurant Le Cinque also in Paris. I'm actually perplexed as to why this place has 2 stars while Epicure has 3 stars. Both places provide similar 3-star services and food. But I found Epicure to be a little too proud of themselves and lacking in grace and humility. But you can read my review for them when I post it. Anyways, the tasting menu will run you €650 per person, without wine pairing. They do not have a conventional bar nor signature cocktails, but they can accommodate any standard cocktail requests you make. I asked for a Negroni, and my wife had a mock tail. Both were quite good, with the only critique being that the ice cubes for my Negroni were actual ice cubes and not the proper single crystal clear hunk of ice. But the taste was excellent. We had great seats by the window facing out towards the river Seine. Quite romantic. There is the obligatory purse seat and coat check-in like any good Michelin Restaurant. The amount of luxurious ingredients is over flowing. Dishes that we normally don't like were prepared in amazing ways that turned convention on its head (cold raw oysters). My wife actually ate 90% of everything served. Which is incredibly rare for her. The only dish that was a miss for the both of us was the Guinea Fowl. This is apparently a favorite amongst the locals though. My favorite thing was the ice cream trolley. I wanted to eat the whole thing. The best part is that you CAN! They will serve you as much of their home made ice cream with accompaniments as you wish. Without making you feel undignified in the least. I wanted to ask them to roll the trolley back to my hotel So the entire tasting course took a little over three and a half hours to get through. But this dinner was less excruciating than most other tasting menus. Almost as pleasant as my experience at Le Cinq. Which says alot about the comfort of the seats, atmosphere and graciousness of the staff. These tasting menus can sometimes feel more like marathons instead of fine dining. But this place kept the entire evening enjoyable. At the end of the evening each guest was presented with a delicious cruffian (croissant/muffin). This days offering was a Framboise and praline cruffian. Which we enjoyed the next day during our tour bus ride to Mont Saint Michel.
Best meal in Paris
Wow! We had one of the best meals anywhere in our travels around the world. It’s worth the hype. We can men here for lunch and had the tasting menu. The service, the food, the presentation, the ambiance, was everything a 3 star Michelin restaurant should be. If you have the opportunity to try a top level restaurant in Paris, do not miss the opportunity for Guy Savoy.

Amazing! Guy himself greeted everyone on the way in and at dinner to make sure everything was excellent. Jackets for men are strongly recommended at dinner but I did see a few sans jacket (it was quite hot when we went). The rooms are chic with modern decor and art. I expected the service to be a little stuffy- I know I'm generalizing traditional French fine dining. But the staff was welcoming and had a great sense of humor! Every dish was delightful and I have never been so full from a tasting menu in my life! Many of the dishes had accompanying sauces that were poured over at the table- I kinda liked that. They ruined the aesthetic of the dish for you so you didn't feel bad cutting into a masterpiece and the sauces were yummy! Among the courses were also a cheese cart and a dessert cart with ice creams and little treats. My husband doesn't consume caffeine and asked for herbal tea to finish. We were surprised when they rolled out a cart with fresh herbs growing! He selected mint and verbena, which were cut and steeped together at the table. There was no established wine pairing but we were able to tell the staff our wine preferences and he curated pairings along the way with the tasting. Everything was paced out so nicely that I thought we had been there for maybe an hour and noticed 2.5 hours had passed! It was all together nearly a 4h affair but it didn't seem like it at all. Must visit!
This review is way overdue, as our dinner experience here
This review is way overdue, as our dinner experience here was in February, and now it is already September...At the time of our dining the restaurant had 3 Michelin Stars, but the day after our dining there, we read an article that Monsieur Savoy has lost a star. Must have been an awkward call to get that news... Regardless, our dinner at Guy Savoy Paris will forever remain in our memory as the best meal of our lives by far! My hubby and I are fortunate to have had dined at many incredible restaurants around the world, but this place is just above and beyond them all. It's not just the food, but the whole experience was phenomenal including the location which cannot be replicated anywhere else in the world. Located in Le Monnaie, the restaurant is situated on the 2nd floor of a functioning minting building. The entrance is grand and the staircase that leads to the restaurant at night is majestic. Our hats are off to M. Savoy on all his achievements and his management team. He is not only talented but is a very warm and friendly person. It should be noted that hubby and I were not in our best conditions due to our stomach problems starting that day and we were not hungry at all...yet every single dish impressed us. Maitre D personally designed the menu for us since we told him that we couldn't eat that much. He inquired what we liked to eat and designed it so that it was light on the stomach. We had the best table in the house as per hubby's request. Everything was perfect! Their prix fixe was 13 course dinner, but we reduced ours to 6 courses. There weren't much price difference from reducing all those courses and it is understandable because they had to design a custom menu for us. Our bill was US$1100 including wine. Our menu was seafood dominant and of course included was M. Savoy's famous artichoke soup. Everything was divine and service was impeccable. Sommelier recommended the most amazing wines. Will absolutely return again!
so this was my first time trying and I'm gonna be honest,
so this was my first time trying and I'm gonna be honest, This stuff was so nasty that I had to poop right after
First meal of the trip and it was a good one.
Review is also for lunch too but still quite expensive. The good Exquisite preparation and flavors from the 3 layers of caviar, the truffle and artichoke soup to lobster and chicken. Everything about the meal was wonderful as they kept coming and coming with all sorts of bells and whistles. The bad The room we dined in was very quiet. Almost too quiet for my liking. The room had only 4 tables and I felt everyone was just whispering to be polite. It was kinda annoying and reminded me why I'm starting to get bored of fine dining.
My wife and I returned to Guy Savoy for another meal 17
My wife and I returned to Guy Savoy for another meal 17 months after our last one. This time we ate without our daughter, but with our son, a cousin and an old friend, and we had lunch, instead of dinner. The dinner's 13+ course "Colours, Textures & Flavours Menu" was just too much for me. The lunch's seven course "Keep it simple" menu was just about perfect. To me, the best gastronomic meals are convivial and that starts with the chef. As he often does, Chef Guy Savoy greeted us as we entered the restaurant. After that, we were cared for by the excellent front of house staff. As for the food itself, the kitchen produces some of the most delicious and extraordinary dishes that I have ever experienced. Period. I'll post photos. The wine pairings were also extraordinary. I think that asparagus and artichoke are two ingredients with which it's very difficult to pair a wine, but, for the first time in my life, the selected wines paired perfectly with them. If you want to experience gastronomy at the highest level, you cannot go wrong with a meal at Guy Savoy. I'm already looking forward to my next meal there.
The most unbelievable experience.
Every detail was accounted for. The only thing I'm bummed about is that I'll probably never have a better experience - where do I go from here? The service, the food, the drinks, the creativity, the pairings...simply amazing. If you can afford the splurge, do it!!!

Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

When it says working on bid, it means there are people looking to fill it.
