Grappa Seattle Reviews from The Last Year
Excellent service, excellent food.
That's it, that's the review. A nod to the name, they have a ton of grappa to try! I had the seafood risotto which was absolutely incredible. Though they also have your classic, Italian dishes like carbonara and bolognese. You've got to try the focaccia. The ambiance is super cool. It's dark and moody and romantic with candle wax melting everywhere. But you could still go with family as we did. The tiramisu was incredible!
Food and service were amazing.
So glad we found this spot for dinner. Beef tip appetizer was so good!
It's got a great happy hour.
The cocktail are worth a visit. I would say the Italian pasta dishes are up there with the top 5 best in Seattle.
Seriously amazing.
We had Younes as our server...top notch! I served for 10 years so I notice everything--he NAILED it. Every dish we had was so delish and timing was perfect. Could not recommend more!

Younes was the best server I have ever had at a restaurant!! He was so attentive and personable with our party. His recommendations were top notch and the food and drinks were incredible. I am from out of town but every time I come to Seattle I will have to stop here for the food and service! I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone!

Dinner at Grappa with three kids was almost perfect! We arrived a couple minutes late for our reservation, but we're still promptly seated. The interior is pretty cool: our kids LOVED the candles with wax dripping all over, and the combination of copper and wood is really well done. Our waiter waited for a while to take our order, which was intentional (that's how they roll there), but once we told him we wanted to order and get the kids fed ASAP he course corrected. We got the hummus appetizer, which was good, but would be nice to know it's a red pepper infused hummus, so the kiddos were not fans (they ate the warm pita though). They do have a great kids menu (you have to ask for it): we got the grilled cheese and kids pasta. We also got 3 spaghetti's: pesto, primavera, and d'mare (which I butchered pronouncing). The spaghetti's were all great. The primavera was fresh and not overly sauced with delicious fresh vegetables, d'mare was loaded with muscles and had lots of other seafood with a great slightly spicy tomato sauce, and the pesto was creamy, basily deliciousness. The kids pasta was perfect also. The grilled cheese is a little more interesting: it's served on herb bread, which is a little elevated for our 7 year old (and most that I know), so that didn't get touched. Grappa would be amazing for date night, and was still a pretty good place for a family of 5.
The lady at front was so rude.
Wouldn't help us and even when a waiter tried she wouldn't help him. We left. That is so rude and disrespectful. Don't go here She also hung up on us when we called. We will never come back

My server, Younes, provided exceptional assistance with food recommendations. I enjoyed my time and look forward to returning again soon!
Younes was excellent! Service was terrific, made our visit.
We love food, and as a former server, I appreciate how hard it is to do this job! Thank you!
Grappa is consistently good.
You come here knowing you are going to have a good meal. The ambiance is intimate but the space is large enough and breathable. The seafood risotto, octopus, and bolognese is delicious. You can't go wrong with a starter plate of focaccia. I always bring out of town guests here when I want to show them the cute streets of Queen Anne!
Grappa's exceptional dining marred by passive-aggressive 3.5% surcharge on bill, leaving a bad taste in ones mouth
The dining experience at Grappa is typically exceptional, with their meticulous attention to detail, flavorful pasta, and quality ingredients leaving a wonderful lasting impression. It's a great spot for out-of-town guests to enjoy everything Seattle's culinary scene has to offer. However, our recent visit left us disappointed, not because of the food or service, but due to a new policy they've implemented. On the bill, a 3.5% optional surcharge is now added, purportedly to help “provide health benefits and competitive wages to their culinary staff.” This approach feels passive-aggressive and obnoxious. While it's understood that running a business involves paying staff and providing benefits, making it a separate line item on the bill seems unnecessary. If additional funds are needed to cover these expenses, you should just adjust the menu prices. The surcharge amounted to less than three dollars, a negligible amount that could have easily been absorbed into the overall pricing structure without notice. The fact that this charge is added separately and so passive aggressively comes across as mean-spirited, petty, and disrespectful to the hardworking staff. I’m sure the owners of the restaurant are doing just fine financially, and so to throw their workers under the bus is insulting and inexcusable. We find Grappa's policy unacceptable and will not be returning.
My wife, our adult daughter, and I went to Grappa to
My wife, our adult daughter, and I went to Grappa to celebrate my wife and my 38th wedding anniversary. We booked the reservation on Open Table and indicated it was for our special occasion. We received acknowledgment about the reservation from Grappa. We arrived before the dinner rush, but what surprised us was the limited selections being offered for entrees. They do offer appetizers, soup & salad, and entrees, with about six dishes "classics" which unfortunately were out of a few choices, reducing the selections even further (before the dinner rush!). The food was good and fresh, but the portions were a bit small for its price. We were surprised no acknowledgment to our anniversary, but we didn't go to Grappa looking for this either, just a nice dinner to celebrate our event.

So, I would definitely say that dinner is better than Brunch here. Sunday morning for brunch on Daylight Savings Day allowed us to pick our seating. They do have a $15 penalty for no-shows or cancelations per OpenTable so something to be aware of. We ordered: - French 75 - Coffee - Egg Benedict with a side of bacon - Seafood pastry puff. Benedict does NOT come with the traditional ham and comes with the English muffin, poached egg, and hollandaise sauce with a side of potatoes. This was disappointing and bland. What Benedict doesn't come with ham on it? Potatoes were mushy and flavorless. The bacon was subpar quality and was dry. A coffee mug had to be exchanged for one that didn't have food waste still on the inside rim. Their dishwasher didn't remove everything. They do not offer brown sugar for their coffee options. The Bf enjoyed the seafood pastry puff and shared that seems more in line with their dinner caliber. Overall Sunday Brunch experience at Grappa left much to be desired and with rising costs for eating out, I would say check out further down QA Ave for 5 spot breakfast.
Great dinner option in Queen Anne
This was one of the better dinner experiences I’ve had in a while. The ambiance puts you at ease. The service was excellent. And the food was delicious. We would definitely eat here again. And I would recommend to friends and family.
I have had an array of different experiences with Grappa.
On the one hand I've really enjoyed the drinks and food I've gotten, but my girlfriend and I also had a bout of food poisoning very shortly after eating the seafood risotto, which is to-die-for. So you can see my dilemma. Plus, the service has almost always been perfect, and I appreciate the feel of the place, with the dark interior lit by some industrial-style lighting, and candles with dripping wax. Without a doubt, I will be back. But it was tough to have food poisoning on my birthday, right after going to Grappa to celebrate!
Always going to hit the mark at Grappa.
Great ambiance, great drinks, but most importantly great food! One of my favorites.

Came to Grappa for the first time for my birthday! Younes was so kind, and answered all of our questions. He went above and beyond service wise. I would recommend grappa because of Younes! Younes gets 10/10 from me!

Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

When it says working on bid, it means there are people looking to fill it.
