I went to Hell's Kitchen in Vegas and ate right after Covid.
It was Phenomenal! I kept bragging about it to my husband and so we decided to go to the Gordan Ramsey Steak house In KC. It was absolutely horrible. We both ordered a rib eye and they gave my husband a Strip instead. When we both took a bite, it was the blandest steak I have ever had. No flavor what so ever. I expected way much more than what we got. My cousin thought the same and even requested steak sauce. It had no color to the steak either, just a light brown, no grill markings or anything. This experience was such a let down, especially after raving about Hell's Kitchen to my husband. I would go to any chain steak house before choosing going back here.

Went with the Tasting with the wine pairing and added an order of truffle fries. The scallop risotto was a bit salty. The arugula salad, beef Wellington, and sticky toffee pudding were all delicious. The portion sizes were larger than expected but not large enough to make us feel as uncomfortable as we walked out feeling.
Be the first to ReplyMy first time visiting and we tried the tasting menu.
Our server Jaqueline was amazing and so friendly. It's a very romantic vibe with hints of England and Ramsey. We got such nice take away menus. The overall meal was in the salty side for my tastes which was a little letdown; I just can't take large amounts of sodium at my age The Citrus salad was perfectly balanced with hints of citrus, arugula and ibérico ham. Delicious! My risotto al dente which was unpleasant. The scallops were cooked perfectly. My Wellington was served so hot and delicious; but also aggressively salted. The potato puree was shiny and over beaten. The carrots and turnips were tender and delicious. The dessert was FANTASTIC, I wish I could have poured my own toffee after I had cut into it to sop up more of that delicious sauce. The brown butter ice cream was perfection! Overall it was a fun indulgent evening.

Almost a perfect meal, I've eaten at Ramsey's Burger in Vegas and honestly wasn't impressed. I was nervous about going here because of that and the fact that Caesar's pays these celebrities basically for their name on these restaurants. Guy Fieri's restaurant at Harrah's in Laughlin is hit or miss too. Overall this was an excellent experience. The bread and salad were delicious. The scallop risotto was good, but smaller scallops than my husband received and one of them was overcooked. Some of the risotto was a little crunchy too. The beef Wellington was cooked perfectly and exceptional. The carrots served along side of the potato puree were yummy too. The dessert was also pretty amazing and the ice cream served like a butter stick was a cute touch. Service was pretty spot on and the ambiance was inviting, but nothing too impressive.

Great food. Great service (Mai, our server was EXCEPTIONAL! She went above and beyond and was the most personable server we've ever experienced. We all raved about her.). Beautiful atmosphere. The attention to detail was top tier as you would expect. This was my third time visiting this location, and we'll be back. (Photos are from 2 visits)

Food was really good Is it Worth the money tho? Favorite item was the lobster risotto. Hard to say I like a good Texas Roadhouse steak for less$Ramsay is a good special treat for anniversary or something to impress the date. I'm a rocker but Was kinda weird they had rock music playing in there kinda loud Didn't fit the ambience.

Highly recommend the scallops with mushroom risotto and the sticky toffee pudding. I had the tasting menu with the beef Wellington and it was fine but I expected more. Perhaps I am just not a beef Wellington kind of girl :). I wouldn't order that again personally. The scallops, however, were mouthwatering! Service was excellent!!!!!!! It was a good experience but felt overpriced for being in a semi run down casino setting. There are definitely nicer places in KC you can eat at in a similar price range. Glad we went but we probably won't go out of our way to drive back for a second visit.

terrible ambiance, food seemed to be under warmer for too long, but at least we had a friendly server. food was so overcooked though i wish i'd have taken my money to anywhere else in the city. sat at a table in some sort of dining room that looked like a bingo hall. the lights were so bright i thought they were about to put the chairs up and vacuum. tried to contact management, and no response. they only respond to positive experiences it seems which my wife and i were really hoping to have.
Be the first to ReplyWe went for an early Valentines dinner and it was not good.
The king crab was so salty and fishy, just nasty. You would think for $90 they would get it right! My filet was overcooked as well. The only thing that tasted good was the sticky toffee pudding. Should have gone to Sullivans or Golden Ox, next time we will make a better choice.

My husband and I had a dinner date here and will definitely return! The restaurant is beautiful and very romantic. For dinner, we did the Tasting Menu, which has: arugula and citrus salad, scallop risotto, beef Wellington, and sticky toffee pudding. As neither of us are fans of arugula, the salad was okay. The scallop and mushroom risotto was delicious!!! The rice was cooked perfectly. It was our first time trying beef Wellington and we both loved it. The beef was very juicy and the pastry very flaky. The accompanying potato purée and vegetables were also very good. Finally, as the cherry on top of a wonderful meal, the sticky toffee pudding was so rich and moist!!! The brown butter ice cream was formed into a stick of butter. Very beautiful presentation!
Be the first to ReplyMy husband and I went to Gordon Ramsay Steak for a birthday
My husband and I went to Gordon Ramsay Steak for a birthday anniversary dinner. We have been before, but there were things that happened that were alarming for me. The food was not the problem. When we first arrived, we ordered drinks. My husband ordered an alcoholic drink. I did not. I ordered a soft drink. Our waiter, David, brought my husband's drink, but not mine. He never said "it's coming" or anything. He came back a few minutes later with bread. That is when I had to ask for my soda. I could tell he totally forgot. He never even apologized for his oversight. Our food was delicious, but I asked for salt for my baked potato. The waiter never came back with it. I may understand these things, if it was very busy. It wasn't. There were maybe 6 other patrons in the restaurant. This service is totally unacceptable. I felt like our waiter didn't even care that we were there. This was not a good experience at all.
Be the first to ReplyFirst and foremost this place is EXPENSIVE--but worth it.
The service is phenomenal and the food is perfection.
Be the first to ReplyA+ and 5 star service from Malara and Tin.
Food was delicious and presentation was excellent as well. Steaks were prepared properly. We had shrimp cocktails and Caesar salads both were fresh and delicious the cocktail sauce is unique and very tasty. My husband had a signature cocktail with Buffalo Trace and he liked it very much. If you are still hungry the go to dessert is sticky toffee pudding.

First off the service is TOP NOTCH! Even though it's in a casino we couldn't smell a bit of cigarette smoke. The ambiance and music was perfect. Our steaks were perfectly prepared and seasoned just right. I hate over seasoned steak. The brown butter on the asparagus was absolutely delicious. The potatoes were just okay. No complaints just didn't blow me away. The Japanese waygu was our appetizer and was incredibly tender! We shared a Caesar salad that they plated separately and was definitely enough for 2. That dessert though...OMG I wanted to lick the plate clean!
Be the first to ReplyThree of us ate here on Christmas Eve.
We had a reservation and were seated promptly. We had no drinks but did enjoy the heirloom tomato salad, the wedge salad, and the lobster bisque as our first course. All were delicious. The wedge could easily feed two people. After that, everything went south. It was 45 minutes before our entrees and sides arrived. Apparently a large party came in and our waiter turned his attention to them. When our steak and chicken dishes finally came out, they were dry, like they had been sitting under a heat lamp for a long time. The waiter asked how everything was before we had cut into the meat, so we never had the chance to tell him we were disappointed in the dry meat. We didn't see him again until we had finished eating and needed boxes for the leftovers. Two of the sides were very good: the fingerling potatoes and the mushrooms. The Brussels sprouts were nothing to write home about, not much flavor. When you spend $200 for dinner you expect a top notch dining experience, and we definitely did not have that.

Hubby and I took a quick trip up to Kansas City for a comedy show, and decided to have a really nice dinner beforehand. Got reservations as Gordon Ramsay Steak located inside the Harrah's Casino. It was our first time here, but definitely won't be the last. We opted for the Tasting Menu as all the items sounded truly delicious. Here's what we had: FIRST COURSE An arugula and citrus salad topped with shaved asparagus, iberico ham, and a lovely lemon vinaigrette * A very nice, refreshing salad; however, it could have used more of the vinaigrette. Parts of the salad were a little dry and grassy. SECOND COURSE A mushroom risotto with seared scallops * Absolutely divine! The most perfectly cooked risotto (you'd be surprised how often risotto is cooked incorrectly). The flavor was intensely good. A huge LOVE for me. THIRD COURSE The classic Beef Wellington serviced with carrots, potato puree, and a red wine demi * It was supposed to be a medium rare, but ours was more medium; however, I am fine with that. The pastry crust was flavorful and flaky, and the potato puree was super velvety. Very very good dish. DESSERT COURSE An indulgent Sticky Toffee Pudding topped with brown sugar toffee sauce and brown butter ice cream * This is one of my hubby's favorite desserts. It was warm and moist, and the sauce was drenched over the top. The ice cream was melty; the whole thing was downright comforting. Probably the best version I've ever had. It was our anniversary, so the server brought out a little cheesecake for us as well. We didn't NEED it need it, but we definitely didn't NOT want it! A very nice, unexpected touch. We had excellent service, and the meal flowed nicely. Highly recommended for date night, or when you're feeling like something special.

Holy cow! This was my first time visiting Harrah's and so we decided to enjoy a fancy dinner as well! Lucky for us, the dress code was casual, but it is definitely a place you can get dressed up and have a perfect anniversary dinner. The restaurant is well lit but perfectly dimmed. The seats are extremely comfortable and every table is set up beautifully, already prepared with glasses. Our server was pheromonal and I wish I remembered her name! She gave us an informational overview of the menu that gave us some ideas of what to order! They also have serving assistants who fill your drinks and remove plates as you finish them. Definitely a luxury serving experience! The food was scrumptious!! I ordered the beef wellington and I was happily surprised to love it with my picky pallet! I knew it was a famous/signature dish and I didn't want to pass up the opportunity of having it prepared perfectly. Will definitely be back again!
Be the first to ReplySo we started dinner with a bottle of Cristal champagne.
Dinner rolls weren't warm and were bland. The salted butter was good. The salad was good but very small, maybe an once. The scallop risotto was disgusting, and the scallops tasted old and very fishy. The risotto itself was overpowered with rancid seafood flavor and scent. The wellington puff pastry had the consistency of semi stringy booger. It was horrible. I spit it out and ran to the restroom to vomit. I didn't even try the dessert. I spent the next 2 days vomiting, nauseated, and sweating. Worst $900 I've ever spent. Save your money and go somewhere else. Run, don't walk, stay away from this place at all costs
Be the first to ReplyMy friend had a private bday party.
I ordered a ribeye. The 28 day dry aged steak was delivered to me medium well when I asked for medium. I requested another steak to be delivered to me medium. Another one came and it was well done. Once again I requested a steak to be medium. Five min later I received a steak that was medium well. After that I gave up. I was done. The GM was very condescending and not helpful in this situation. I would think he would want to correct this simple mistake by overseeing my steak being cooked properly. I guess he couldn't handle the heat and he needs to get out of shells Kitchen. But my sides were good. Go to LongHorn if you can.

The customer service was great! I went on my birthday and was given a free dessert and shirt. Food was amazing and the wait was very short. Came from southern IL to eat there and it did not disappoint : )

I'm a huge fan of Gordon Ramsey, and I've been wanting to try Gordon Ramsey Steak for a long time. Let me tell you- it did NOT disappoint! I ordered the Alaskan King Crab Legs, Beef Tartare, and Broccolini. My partner had the 18oz Ribeye. Best food I believe I've ever tasted. The Tartare was absolutely mouthwatering! We will definitely be coming back.

The service and meal was great! But I do have to say the Beef Wellington plating looks like Pepe the Frog.
Be the first to ReplySeverely disappointed with this restaurant.
Considering the prices you pay here, and the status of the name associated with it, it didn't even come close to living up to expectations. I ordered the lobster bisque and that was almost cold with hardly any flavor. Next I got the bone-in rib-eye and it was so gristly and tough that I had to make sure I didn't walk into an Applebees by mistake (no disrespect to Applebees intended). The steak was super thin and low on flavor. I also got the mushrooms as a side and paid $4 extra for some chimichurri. The mushrooms were tasty, but cold and the chimi was not good. On a brighter note, the service was exceptional and the manager did apologize after I voiced my opinion on the food and took $35 off my meal. My two associates each ate a filet and they said it was good, but not great considering the price. I was looking forward to eating here and ended up leaving very disappointed. I would not recommend this restaurant at half the price.

The food was absolutely amazing and our service at the bar with David could not had been better.

This was by far the best culinary experience my husband and I have ever had!! The waiting staff had service down to a perfection! We were seated, ordered/served multiple courses, paid our bill, and left all within 40 minutes, while also not feeling rushed. The food was fantastic! There wasn't a single thing we ordered that wasn't delicious! We started with the complementary bread. Arrived at the table still warm from the oven! Particularly enjoyed the volcanic salt served with the butter. Next was the lobster risotto appetizer! Incredible! I've had lobster one other time and thought I wasn't a huge fan. I cracked lobster up to being tough and flavorless. Gordon Ramsay's served us what lobster is suppose to taste like! It was nice and tender too. For our main entrees... my husband ordered 4oz of medium rare Japanese Wagyu and I ordered the iconic Beef Wellington. Can not put into words how incredible both entrees were! The meat on both meals literally melted in our mouths, so tender and flavorful. The Beef Wellington is cooked to medium rare and served over a potato purée, vegetable roots, and a Demi glacé. The puff pastry was nice and flaky and did not have a soggy bottom. We also ordered a side of truffle fries. It was huge!!! And delicious!! We barely put a dent in it as there was so much and we had plenty to take home. It came served with a house made ketchup sauce and aioli. Not sure if this would have been proper etiquette for an establishment such as Gordon Ramsays, but kicking myself for not asking for the sauces to take home too as they were sooo good! Last, but not least... we had to order dessert. My husband ordered the Pot de Creme and I ordered Sticky Toffee Pudding. The Pot de Creme was good, but my husband and I both preferred the Sticky Toffee Pudding. The toffee sauce poured over the cake is to die for!!! It comes served with a yummy brown sugar ice cream on the side that really compliments the warmth of the cake. If you are a food fanatic, don't let the price tag scare you away from coming to Gordon Ramsays. My husband and I both walked into this experience justifying the visit as a splurge to celebrate multiple recent anniversaries and accomplishments. We told ourselves we'd probably never eat there again, purely because of the price. We are already talking about what we want to eat the next time we can find the perfect excuse to make another reservation! Bravo, Gordon Ramsay! Your service and food definitely live up to the hype!
