Also the asparagus side was next level awesome. My friend ordered pasta and they brought her the wrong thing but it was so delicious pasta with truffle she ate it. Only concerns are that the service was slow -but the food will come out steaming hot. The prices are super high. And they gave us a tiny table.wine list is very high too.

Usually the lack of presentation is supplanted by great taste. Unfortunately, the dining experience here lacked both. The gnocchi in a white watery 'truffle' sauce came out looking like sad cafeteria food (think watery beans in a bowl) and tasted as such. The other 'homemade' pastas were equally bland and unimpressive. The 3 microscopic meatballs tasted like the ones I get in a bag in Trader Joe's and douse in pasta sauce. The servers were also quite dismissive, one pouring wine so hastily that he almost spilled before he rushed off (to an emergency surgery??). For a second, I thought I might be getting Punk'd - wondering if someone is out there hiding in the bushes saying let's just see how bad we can make the food and how much we can charge them for this. Alas, Ashton Kutcher never came out, much to the dismay of the jaded paparazzi lingering outside.

We started with the meatball appetizer. For an appetizer it was perfect portion so you're not filling up before your meal. My daughter ordered the gnocchi and I ordered the clam pasta with white wine sauce special. I don't agree with other reviews about portions. For us, the portions were perfect. In general, Americans tend to like huge portions you can't finish and need to take leftovers home. If you're looking for that, this is not the place. For once, my daughter finished her entire plate, which was delicious. I finished mine as well, which has an abundance of clams. It was amazing and I'd recommend both dishes if available. We finished with the tiramisu which was also a perfect portion. It was not too sweet and not too spongy. We did not leave hungry. The staff was attentive, always refilling water, refilling the olive oil for the bread. When my daughter stepped away, the waiter came over to fix her place setting and fold her napkin. Everyone from the hostess to the waiter to the bus staff were kind and attentive. We would come here again.

The service is very low, the waiter handed me a plate over other food, perhaps there was debris or hair flying from his clothes. It's very surprising why media people visit this place, because there is nothing special there. The toilet is dirty and there is garbage lying around, the design of the restaurant is very ordinary, nothing special, I couldn't even call this place cozy. in general, complete disappointment and a check for 700 at the end

Heard about this place from a friend of a friend, sounded like the type of place to go for a truly unique LA experience complete with paparazzi and potential celebrity sightings. Had some friends in town and decided to check it out, mostly for the plot. Was pleasantly surprised to learn they offer gluten free penne pasta which is not listed on the menu. Many of the pasta dishes can be made gluten free, and all of the risotto options are gluten free. My meal was delicious, and the wine pours were generous, which is always a plus.

Hey yelp family this Ristorante picture is very deceptive once you go to this place and order they give you a child size portion. My three daughters went there for one of their sister's birthday last night and they were very unhappy. They will not be dining at this restaurant again.

The food is the BEST! The service was slow (it does get busy), and they don't have a full bar (mostly wine and some beeer options...the wine list is $$), but it's my wife's favorite place and the food is delicious (although smaller portions).

Yes, it is a hyper establishment (paparazzi wait outside) where my friend wanted to celebrate her birthday at after delivering her baby 2 months prior. She even brought the baby and they accommodated the Nuna. We got a lot of stares at our table for various reasons I am sure (from coming in at the final hour, all being beautiful people, having a cute baby etc), however, we enjoyed our hour dining and spending over $1.5K on food and tip. I specifically can say the frittata misto was the most underwhelming here than at any Italian spot in LA. We ordered a lot of good items from the Dover sole, fried veal, 1 lobster risotto, 1 lobster, 2x agnolottis (many yums on that), veggies, carpaccio and prosciutto. The agnolottis were a hit and the Dover was exceptional. The food came out hot (which is very important to me) and it was an overall chill night.

Six of us went for a birthday dinner at this much heralded restaurant. The food was overall quite good to excellent, the ambiance was virtually non-existent and it was fairly loud. The prices are high, the wine list extensive and expensive, but we enjoyed it a great deal. However, the one major flaw was that the portions were quite small -- I mean small enough so that even with appetizers, mains and desserts, we all left somewhat hungry. That shouldn't be. Dinner for six with appetizers, mains and desserts and two bottles of the least expensive wine, together with tax and 20% tip totaled $900. You decide if that is worth it.

This isa magic italialian Restaurant above the San Macos beach surround by rocks extending into the ever unfolding waves of the Atantic ocean. It is a piroresque place to enrich life and enjoy the amazingly best fresh fish. Carmen, her mother and her granny delivered a very Personal Service. Sometimes this is indeed a difficult task. In any case, we are delighted for the fourth time with this Restaurant and would fullvheartedly recommend it. Karin and Rieke, Germany

Though the wait staff and food is very good, the hostess put a damper on our evening. Seated, without looking at us, she could not find our reservation. It was early, there were few tables occupied, and even after we showed her the confirmation text, she wasn't budging. It was simply rude. She took us to a tent, outdoors in the rain. No management was evident. The poor waiters were drenched, but professional. Recommend the meatball appetizer, pasta and butterscotch dessert. Today, one week after our visit, we received a call to confirm our reservation. Something is amiss.

However, they were quite small and overpriced. We shared 1 appetizer, 3 pastas, and a steak among three people and we were still hungry. But that wasn't the biggest issue. The bad review is really for the atrocious service. The hostess was so unfriendly, as well as our waiter. It's a shame really because I would come back for those pastas if it wasn't for the awful service. Go spend your hard earned money somewhere else, this place doesn't need it.

Thank you to the lovely host Carmela & our server Francesco for a wonderful evening! First time coming here and I definitely see why this is a hot spot. Very intimate outdoor seating area. The food was spectacular in taste, my only regret is not ordering another pasta dish. My favorites of the evening were the veal & carpaccio. The sauce on the carpaccio was so lovely and creamy in taste. I would return and try the rest of their menu. Highly recommend making a reservation weeks in advance.

Oh my love! My favorite hidden gem, always consistent goodness. My serial faves are the sweet corn ravioli, lobster for two and the butterscotch pudding. The most romantic, authentic Italiano ristorante in LA. Truly an unpretentious, locals spot.

Of course we only dined here because of Rih and I feel like she has her own special menu because this place is definitely hyped. Regardless, I ordered the pumpkin ravioli with sage butter and it was delicious. The ravioli just melted in your mouth and the aromatic sage butter was the cherry on top. The portions are extremely small so I had to order a portion in a half. It's not family style yet the portions can barely feed one person. Overpriced forsure but my dish was good. Service was great and the outside seating was small and loud but it worked. I wouldn't come back unless someone was treating me.

If you're feeling nostalgia for getting scammed in Italy, come to this place. There is really nothing special. First they wanted to sit us in the back corner in the backyard patio next to a table with a large dog to be seated next to us while eating. They accommodated our request to dine indoors. But that was after they suggested that we go up the street to a noisy sports bar until our table was ready. We went up the street, took one look and came back and asked that we wait in one of the empty tables just outside of the entrance. Once seated, the food and service were both average. We ordered two salads, a pasta, a white fish and a tiramisu, and one red wine. Overall it was totally overpriced for the quality of food. If you do come here, best thing is to book a table inside, only order pastas, eat and then get out of there. Also valet is $17 cash but changes to $20 if on a credit card. These little details feel scammy.
