GinZa Japanese Restaurant Fort Myers Reviews from The Last Year
Oh my gosh.
It took us over 3 years to finally come... so sad we waited so long. So glad we finally went. If you're debating if it sounds too good to be any good... it IS good! I promise !! Go to Ginza!!!
We went there Thursday night 4-11-2024 for my daughters
We went there Thursday night 4-11-2024 for my daughters birthday. There was 7 of us and had the worse experience there. Service was horrendous. They weren't even busy. My family wanted to order more food but couldn't wait. We were there almost 2 hours. We had to tell our server that most of family left and to forget bringing out her birthday desert. Server never came back to refill our drinks, the orders were wrong. He was lucky that they put the top on the bill because he would've got a lot less Needless to say we will not be coming back.
The sushi is great ! Not too tight and not too loose.
The environment is kind of industrial feeling tho, so rather than feeling cozy and safe and when eating, you feel like you're in a dystopian world factory on a lunch break.
Service is horrible the waiter that was attending us stop
Service is horrible the waiter that was attending us stop serving our table and went to a different section and never said anything to me so I was here waiting for about 30mins until I reached out to other waiter and asked what was going on. That waiter was willing to help out and found out what the problem was. Said it was a miscommunication. But know one never told us so me and my son was just sat and waited. Last time will never come back. If you guys ever come here hope you get better service and manger never came to apologize.
Surprising quality for an all you can eat place.
And it's not a germy buffet... all courses are served!
My boyfriend and I come here a lot and have never had any
My boyfriend and I come here a lot and have never had any complaints. Normally, I'm not the type of person to leave a bad review but the server we had ruined our experience. She was inattentive, slow, and careless. The next time you go to Ginza, ask for anyone BUT Ciera.
We were waiting 30 minutes to sit down and eat the All You
We were waiting 30 minutes to sit down and eat the All You Can Eat Dinner special. In the time of us coming in, giving out name for the wait list, and getting shown to our table, we spoke to about 3 different wait staff. When we were finally sat, our waiter told us that they are not doing the special due to too many people in the restaurant. 30 minutes waisted. Shouldn't have a sign outside showing the special if you aren't offering it inside.
To curb costs in our out-of-town AYCE sushi joint, you have
To curb costs in our out-of-town AYCE sushi joint, you have to eat everything you order. "Everything" includes the rice balls that come with your nigiri. And if you don't, they charge you. From a business perspective, it makes good sense -- I mean cents -- so you don't bite off more than you can chew. (Puns intended.) They don't do that at Ginza, which is why we noticed tables cleared with so much waste. It adds to rising prices, passed on to the consumer. Lunch costs more than advertised, though still a deal at less than $20. Curiously, before ordering, you're asked what kind of sauce you want. I'm used to soy sauce -- already on the table -- wasabi and pickled ginger. "Beats me," I said. "Whatever you think." So she brought everything. The menu differentiates raw fish from cooked. I like that! Our tried-and-true strategy is to forego appetizers, salads, tempuras, hibachi and zero-in on the good stuff. Sushi. Once we've had our fill of fish, if there's room in our bellies we explore the menu. Without detailing our order -- see my photos -- I'll recommend their white tuna nigiri. It's as light and delicate as we hoped it would be. All the fish was good, and everything appeared fresh. The menu lists rolls, some pretty innovative, I'd never seen before. I think their ordering process could be streamlined by providing checklists to indicate what you'd like. Nonetheless, with a couple of minor mistakes, our server got it right, and lunch today was a good experience.
Terrible.
Ate here twice and same issues each time. Waiting over an hour and we didn't get food. Had to reorder 3-4 times and it still didn't come out. They raised the prices for what? Not their service. Don't eat here. The rice is dry. The tempura is poorly made and the sushi tastes terrible.
Go Hungry, Leave Stuffed
AYCE for $30 with tons of sushi and hibachi options. All the meat offerings we tried were well seasoned and cooked perfectly. Both sushi rolls we tried were fresh and plentiful. The fried cheesecake at the end was a surprise favorite. Server was friendly and checked in with us a decent amount during our meal.
Food was horribly cheap tasting.
$30?!!!! For subpar all you can eat? Terrible. How does this place get higher than 3 star reviews?
Place was excellent and our server Paul was superb.
The experience and ambiance overall was 15/10. Food was perfect. Every dish left you wanting more.
Let me start off by saying that our server Aaron was great.
He did his best and we had no issues with him at all but I will say their customer service skills everywhere else needs to be worked on. Walked in at 7:45, there were four people at the hostess station. NOT ONE looked up and greeted us. The Spanish dude with the jerry curls was the one who spoke but did not look up and talk to us. Spoke into stand and the other two people I was with didn't even realize he was talking to us. He just said how many. Secondly, we sat in a table near the bar. By the way the old white male bartender was speaking I would assume he drinks on the job as he literally said something so derogatory towards one of the men sitting at the bar I was ready to get up and leave then. We ordered hibachi steak and teriyaki chicken. All three of the orders of the meat were barely warm. The veggies were hot. The meat was not. I did let server know and he said I can get you some more and we declined just wanted him to be informed. We also ordered few rolls, one came out wrong, the other was okay the Ginza Roll was very good. It was literally the only thing good besides the edamame. We ordered fried cheesecake at the end. It took over 20 mins to get to the table. We had already paid and been sitting and waiting for over ten minutes. There were only a few tables left in the whole restaurant. While we're were waiting a black dude came up and said "can you give me that soy sauce" I looked at him at said "can you give me that soy sauce please" he rolled his eyes and walked away. We most definitely will not be back.

Save yourself from the headache this place is
Again, we’ve tried to give this place a chance. What a waste of time it was. First off, we were sat at the table, with no silver/chopsticks or plates. A few minutes after, our server comes over and asks us for beverages, and if we were ready to order. We ordered our drinks and food that we wanted. She came back, with drinks, forks, and one of the apps. At this point we requested chop sticks, and waited at least ten minutes before we had to ask for them, again. By this point our drinks were both empty, and we were acknowledged that she’d be getting more. Lo and behold, she got slammed at another table… After she was stuck there, she went and grabbed our rolls, practically tossed them on the table and asked if we needed anything else. Again, we asked for refills and were acknowledged. The same table once again occupied her time to the point we were both finished with the rolls. By this point we were fed up and just asked for our bill. I understand being slammed and not having the ability to touch your tables at all times. But, the amount of help she received was minimal . I’d advertise this place as a circus at best. The management is non-existent. They have zero pride in this establishment. The restroom had a broken soap dispenser, with a bag of hand soap just tossed on the sink. The paper towel dispenser was broken, the paper towels were on the toilet of all places. It seemed as if decorating for the holiday season was more important than keeping basic hygiene a priority. At this point, we will not be returning. I would give this 0/5 if I could, but the 1 star I guess can go towards the busser for being a polite individual.
