Amazing time and great food! Love the vibes here! The service was great and timely and the food was not only beautifully plated but tasted delicious as well. Can't wait to return!
I'm really somewhere between a 3 and 4 star.
On arrival the valet person asked me if I had a reservation, then at the door before allowing me in the young man asked me if I had a reservation and then the host asked me immediately after if I had a reservation. This was about a 3 minute span of time. We were seated in a half booth which was fairly close to two other tables we were between. Our server awesome, I wish o remembered his name. We had two different types of dumplings, the lobster and wagyu beef ones. They were both ok with the beef ones being better. We ordered the lobster fried rice which was good, the sea bass which had a miso glaze we thought the miso sauce was a bit sweet for us and we like miso. The steak was good but the baby corn was really the best thing I ate.

I loved my experience here! Will be coming in every time I am in town! Staff and services was amazing! It was very packed but it's normal ! Fun place for pics. The aesthetic is so cool and food was delicious
Gekko has a beautiful ambience and vibey.
The food is delicious but small portions. All of the desserts are 10/10!! Our server was attentive and kind. One of the cons-- the seating was too close to each other so you can literally hear the conversations of the table next to you

Went to Gekko and it was pretty much what you'd expect from a popular spot. We were right on time for our reservation but ended up hanging out at the bar for about an hour and a half before we got our table. The host seemed a bit overwhelmed, so things got a tad awkward when we checked in for updates, even threatened to remove us. As you can imagine, that was uncomfortable. Once we got seated, the food was definitely a highlight, offering some tasty dishes that made the wait somewhat worthwhile... Not sure if I'd jump back in line anytime soon.

Overhyped, overpriced, disorganized service with a weird vibe. This is one of those velvet roped restaurants in Miami trying to be hip, but it just kinda fails. Went on a Thursday. Was an hour and a half late for my reservation and they said "no problem" - which is weird since they were supposedly books solid. The place was only 70% full, which should have been a red flag. The bar area looks nice and is probably OK to hang out at but they stuck us at the sushi bar. From the beginning the service was just lacking. We got menus but the guy didnt come back for a long time, Then when we wanted to order sushi we had to flag someone at the sushi bar0 who wasn't Japanese - who looked confused. He took our order but it was awkward because it wasn't clear if he worked in the sushi bar or not. Apparently he did though. One order of sushi came but the other didn't and so, again, we waited. When we asked where it was, they said it was coming, but then you could tell they forgot. It finally came and the Salmon Truffle sushi was quite good ($27) the 6 piece chefs special was fresh and it was good but it was $54. Reallly, for 6 small piece? Dude, I lifted heavy at the gym today. That's not enough. We also order the steak fries (i needed some carbs) and they came with this really lame siracha sauce. i have had siracha, its ok, but it doesn't belong in fries. The kicker was that the whole time, random staff was reaching into our space grabbing things from where we were eating or jus generally being in the way. They snatched menu we kept so we could order more (guess we weren't going to order any more). We had to beg for soy sauce which they poured and then took away. They grabbed plates and other things as soon as we took the last bite; it was just generally intrusive and we couldn't relax. There was no vibe, no soft music, no ambiance and just intrusive, over eager wait staff. We grabbed the check and got out of there. Two sushis, one french fry order and a glass of wine was $160. Fuck that. It included a $22 tip for all of the wait staff which we could have done without. I rarely give two stars unless the experience is horrible. This experience wasn't horrible; this place just didn't have the vibes, ambiance, service or food to justify the price. It is a hard pass for me.

Had a great time here and I know you will too! The food and drink options are all perfect. Came here for a birthday party on a friday night and the staff was able to accommodate our big group so that was a blessing! Most places have the bar closer to the front, but here they have the bar in the back. I think they do this since after 11pm, that area turns into a mini club that everyone goes to. (More on this below) They have one of the best drink menus I've ever seen and all the drinks were delicious! The golden hai was good but my favorite was the lost in translation. I could drink that all night. As for the food, my taste buds were in heaven the whole time. All of the appetizers were delicious, especially the krispy rice, applewood smoked bacon and the sushi options. For entree, if you like steak you can't go wrong with any of their options. I got the ribeye with steak fries. Let's just say my stomach was extremely happy after I was done. Highly recommended So like I said the bar area in the back turns into a mini club after 11pm. It gets pretty packed in there but we stayed there for a while enjoying the time. Only thing is that they only played house music the whole time so there was t much variety to hear from. That was honestly the only thing I didn't like, other than that had a great time.

I never write reviews, but i want to take the time to appreciate my time here. And a big shoutout to my waitress Vanessa! She was the sweetest ever and gave us options as to what to order as it was our first time here visiting from LA. Her options for food and beverages were perfect!! Thank you so much Vanessa, we're gonna have an amazing time at vibras! Thank you so much again you were amazing and the sweetest ever.
I had such an incredible experience at Gekko.
I went alone and was seated at the sushi bar area -- where I was able to take in the ambiance and speak with the sushi chefs. Everyone was SO kind. They asked me where I was from, what I was doing in Miami, if I enjoyed my trip. They were so personable; and they even helped me pick out what I might like from the menu! The food they made was fantastic. I tried the A5 sushi, and I genuinely think it's the best sushi I've ever eaten in my entire life (and I eat a LOT of sushi). 11/10. Love this place and WILL be returning.
Had a fantastic time for a dinner.
We had Thursday 830pm reservations and only had to wait a few minutes, our drinks from the bar came to our table. The Milk Bread, Tuna Cones, Steak, Lobster Fried rice, A5 Wagyu Maki and the Strawberries & Cream was absolutely delicious as was the Dulce de Leche cocktail.

I knew there was hype around this place, so I'm writing this review with the intention of being as objective as possible. And I must say, it lived up to the hype in my experience. First off, the espresso martinis was a really good way to start things off. Our waitress was really sweet and gave just the best recommendations. Food was impeccable, all the items we ordered were a hit. And the ambiance was absolutely stunning. Loved everything about this place and I would def come back!
Mushy, mayonnaisey, and overcooked it’s a pass
Had truffle pizza was mushy like it was microwaved, the scooped tuna tartare was tasteless and mayonnaisey, the grouper overcooked. Octopus was very good. Took 38 minutes to get first drink. Nice ambiance and vibe. Skip this place
Delicious dining with comfortable seating in a nicely understated, professional, and friendly atmosphere
Food was savory and superb! My husband and I came in for a drink, and after meeting Dago, with his enthusiasm for the Matador’s menu, we wound up staying for a bite. With Matthew’s recommendation, we had the truffle cheese pizza and the fish tacos - both were SO DELICIOUS!! I often associate truffle with mushroom and when I asked our server, Matthew, for his thoughts on adding mushrooms to our pizza, he said it was fabulous as is…. and he was right!!! As for the fish tacos…. being from Boston I thought that we had a pretty good sense of “fresh fish” - but the fish and other ingredients in these tacos were so flavorful and just smooth and enjoyable to eat!! Both Dago and Matthew were attentive, respectful, helpful and kind throughout our visit. We might have to go back tomorrow before we head back home. And for dessert we got the strawberry pavlova and the chocolate lava cake - I had the pavlova, my husband had the chocolate bomb, each were so good that we weren’t even interested in sharing! Thank you Thank you Matthew, Dago & the talented kitchen at the Matador, for making our wedding anniversary dinner in Miami Beach so memorable!!
The Matador room at the Edition hotel, Miami Beach.
This is an amazing restaurant, 5 star. The atmosphere is just wonderful, with great attention to architectural design. We ate outside on the terrace. The food was superbly served, 5 course service. All the food was cooked to perfection, and the accompanying wines were superb.
Great surprise at Miami Beach edition
Was with my college age son and this place was a great surprise. Our server Andrew made excellent recommendations for all of th courses and the pollo con arroz was very tasty. The desserts were also outstanding
Awesome
I have had some fantastic memories here, can't wait to make more
Nice bar. Terrible food.
After great drinks in the impressive bar, we moved to the restaurant. The dinner room is pretty cool. The service and food were not good. The tapas / family style format was odd because single plates came out at 10-15 minute intervals. We ordered potatoes with aioli, calamari and fish tacos. The potatoes were mushy and greasy. The tacos came out (again, 10-15 min minutes later). They were soggy and drenched with a sauce. Gross. The calamari never came and we gave up. Don’t bother eating here.
Great Bar Drinks and Service
I came to edition at the bar the bartender Max recommend Honeydew Mezcalita cocktail and it’s been the best cocktail in Miami. He was very professional and attentive and has a lot of knowledge in mixology. Great job edition on having such professional employees as Max. I will definitely come back.
Gekkō Miami was a great time!
Loved my experience at Gekkō! The ambiance, location and food were just what I wanted.
More on a night to remember at Gekkös
It was an amazing atmosphere.
Messi Loves Miami because he visited Gekkos.
What are you doing now???😎😎😎
Beautifu with great substance!
Incredible food in a wonderful outdoor setting. I thought the place might be a bit too Miami flashy and lacking in substance but was pleasantly surprised. Really good mix of flavours, the octopus is a must! Service on the outside is a bit slow and messy for an upscale place but an overall great experience outdoors.
A Rare Jewel, Exceeded Expectations
Jean George’s Matador Room is a rare jewel of the Miami Beach restaurant scene that perfectly captures the essence of what fine dining is meant to be. While staying at the beautiful Miami Beach Edition Hotel, we dined at the Matador Room three times and we couldn’t get enough of it. The terrace seating for brunch or lunch delivers a modern tropical garden overlooking the pool that offers sunshine, blue skies and greenery punctuated with pink Bougainville. The main room for dinner combines immersive, warm mood lighting and elegant decor that make you feel like you’ve been whisked away into the grand dining room of an Old World Conquistador. Chef Lateisha, who heralds from the Bronx and is as humble as she is accomplished, hit a five out of five on every single dish, a feat I have never experienced before - having lived in Manhattan previously. From the maitake mushrooms (surprise favorite) and the hearts of palm heirloom tomato salad, to the black truffle and fontina cheese pizza and the glazed short rib tacos, we found ourselves in culinary heaven. Chef Lateisha was gracious enough to spend some time at our table speaking about her passion for the art she has most certainly mastered. Service was refined and outstanding at every level. The waiter’s assistant, Schneider, was a class act. Matthew (our server for brunch) was gregarious, fun and dashing. He made us feel taken care of. And the star of the show was Kara, our server for dinner and lunch. Kara was practically perfect in every way. She was attentive, personable, articulate and warm. She has mastered the art of hospitality and her recommendations were spot on. She is the standard by which we will measure all servers going forward. Overall, our experience was spectacular.

Prepaid Reservation Fee

When you sell a reservation that has a prepaid fee AT takes a commission on that fee. This doesn’t really make sense because it’s an expense the seller incurs not part of the profit that is shared.
For example:
Carbone NYC fee to book table for 2 is $108.88
If you sell it for $200 on AT you get $140 from them.
Your net profit is $31 and AT collects $60 in fees.
It would make more sense not to charge commission on the upfront fee as this creates a disincentive and results in higher costs for buyers.

Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
