Galatoire's New Orleans Reviews from The Last Year
Absolutely delicious
Very nice attentive service with amazing appetizers, warm bread and delicious drinks. Extensive wine list to pair with your main course. Lots of delicious options!
Galatoire's is the finest restaurant in New Orleans and one
Galatoire's is the finest restaurant in New Orleans and one of the best in the US. We have had many family celebrations there, most recently my wife's birthday last night. If you are a New Orleans visitor, take one night off from the tourist spots and try this truly classic restaurant. Remember to wear your jacket gentlemen.
Made a reservation for Friday lunch but was not able to sit
Made a reservation for Friday lunch but was not able to sit in the main dining room due to not requesting it specifically before hand; we felt a bit of relief after actually walking through the main room as it was quite rowdy. Overall the food was decent throughout the meal, with the potatoes souffle worth calling out. We also had some red fish almoundine that was pretty good, but not the best I had in NOLA on my trip. I think the restaurant is worth a visit for classic French dishes and the $3 cocktails, but not a must go.
Good food good service.
Old New Orleans. Good food good service. Great martini specials. A favorite over many years. I'm tired of being forced to write 100 characters My last review..
This is my favorite restaurant in the world! Yes, fact!
This is my favorite restaurant in the world! Yes, fact! Unfortunately, New Orleans is not the family friendly city of the past when I would take my young children to the city for a long weekend which always included Galatoire's Restaurant for the oysters Rockefeller - divine. The French bread is Heaven, itself. I haven't been back in years because the city has declined so badly. Sad, but true.
Great Restaurant
I read many reviews on New Orleans restaurants as we would only be in town for three days and wanted to get the best food. This restaurant was at the top of our list based on reviews and the menu. We went and had the souffle potatoes which were different than anything i have had but were tasty and the gumbo which was good. For the main meals we had the shrimp etouffee - which was a little bland and the crab au gratin which was one of the best meals i have ever had. We decided to skip Antoines the next night (due to mixed reviews and menu) and come back here. This time we had the shrimp creole - very good and the crab au gratin again which was amazing. Everyone there was dressed well and they had jackets for men to borrow if needed and the atmosphere was good- not too loud or crowded. The waitstaff was good - not great like at Brennans but was happy with service. We will definitely come back here again when it town.
Nice restaurant.
Very upscale. Good food and great service. Very loud, not intimate at all. May come back another time.
not sure why this place has so many good reviews and was
not sure why this place has so many good reviews and was sooo hyped up. overall the food was meh and the ambiance was weird. the servers were really attentive with refilling water, getting more bread and checking in on us but i feel like overall the food was lacking. - crawfish etouffee: 4/10. overall didn't really taste like anything and was watery. this was my first time having etouffee but it just didn't really have any taste. originally i wanted to order the shrimp etouffee but the server mentioned it was nearing the end of crawfish season and recommended to try it. the crawfish were sooo tiny i couldnt even taste it - brussel sprouts: 6/10. cooked in a tabasco honey sauce that was different from anything ive had before but im not sure i liked the flavor as it was a bit sweet - portabello mushrooms: 10/10, honestly the highlight of my meal lol i had a few bites of my friends dishes and i think the eggplant might have been the best. it does have alot of cheese tho so something to consider.
An enjoyable, traditional New Orleans dining experience
Galatoire's is a new Orleans tradition, and rightly so. My wife and I enjoyed dinner here, in then section of the restaurant that does not require men to wear a sport coat. (The food and drinks are the same, and the atmosphere is slightly less formal, but service was great.) The crayfish maison appetizer was excellent; the crab maison was good. I enjoyed the pompano with an almandine sauce, while my wife enjoyed the crab Yvonne. We skipped dessert because relatives were brining a diverge cake to our hotel room after dinner. Service was very good and the wine options were very good as well.
I don't even know what to say about this place.
It's fancy. Yes. I'm not too fancy. Men have to wear pants. I get it. There is a rich history to this place which necessitates certain formalities. Fine. But the food and service is truly outstanding. Dom was our server who listened expertly to what we wanted and delivered. We started with an app that included crab, shrimp, and crawfish. Devine. Then moved on to an asparagus and heart of palm salad that was unique and delicious. Dom was server who expertly recommended our next course of soft Shell Crab and red Fish. He asked if we were celebrating anything special and we mentioned our 30th year anniversary. At the end of the meal he brought us two glasses of champagne and the got the entire restaurants attention to toast us. We were then greeted by the owner who gave us pens and postcards to commentate the occasion. The icing on the cake was meeting a young man perusing his dreams and providing our encouragement and support to him. What a fabulous lunch and experience. If you have the chance to go to this place do so. The food is superior, the atmosphere is unique and the people were unforgettable. Thank you for making our experience so memorable.
Must start with the garlic bread, which is absolutely
Must start with the garlic bread, which is absolutely delicious. It was hot and fresh and garlic. I think the soufflé potatoes were a little overrated based on the reviews. In my opinion I think it taste like that outside of a regular French fry once it's been fried creamy sauce that it comes with was also underwhelming, sampler appetizer tray was OK. My fish dish with a lump up crab meat on top was pretty darn delicious. My biggest gripe about this place is that there is no insulation whatsoever. It's just tile all around and there's no dividers between the tables and therefore it is very very loud inside. I could barely hear the waiter, shouting out the restaurant daily specials. communication was pretty difficult in this atmosphere. What I did enjoy is the live band that came through. The dress code is something to note. Business casual but more towards formal for men. Everybody is dressed up. They have coat racks at the front. Dressed as if you're going to a spring wedding is my recommendation.
Save $$$ and skip Galatoire's!!
Traveling with a group and 7 of us had reservations here. Started out badly when we were shown to a small cramped table in corner. Chairs small and very uncomfortable. High ceilings bad acoustics has to shout to companions and server. Got worse as night progressed. Place was packed. Our waiter was haughty and dismissive. The appetizer pictured is hollow. As in nothing inside. Oysters Rockefeller worst I've had. In Nola a town known for oysters!! At the exorbitant prices we should have been raving about our meal. No one did. A fish described by waiter as lightly blackened was smothered in seasoning. When we complained the chef came out and offered to comp one dessert but did not offer to replace or comp meal. Server was worse and blamed everybody else. No one should have to endure such an experience. How this place is so popular I cannot say. Other restaurants we've tried here were less expensive and a much better experience!!
A Little Disappointing :(
Well, this was supposed to be the highlight of our trip to NOLA and it was OK, I guess. The ambience and enforced dress code was nice, it was a fun atmosphere. I made two mistakes that kind of distracted from the whole experience. First, I ordered Filet Mignon, which maybe isn't the best choice if you're wanting regional type food. However, I was influenced by a You-Tube Video showing their chef adding on a big ice-cream scoop sized serving of lump crab on the filet and somehow I got it in my head that this was the Yvonne. What I got for a $15.00 add-on was maybe a good tablespoon of sauce with various ingredients but almost totally devoid of crab. Seriously. I don't know why I didn't take a picture. I brought this up very gently to the waiter, making no request for any adjustment. He basically said that's just kind of the way it is. I don't think cancelling the add-on charge or maybe a free drink would have been that taxing for them but...nothing. We tipped 14% instead of 20 and that made up the difference. The Filet was cooked to order and was OK...not the best I've had. My wife had the Crabmeat Ravigote and loved it. Interestingly, it did, in fact, have an acceptable amount of identifiable crab. The duck crepe, turtle soup, duck gumbo, cheesecake, key lime tart...all excellent.
the ambiance was a little off the staff was in the dining
the ambiance was a little off the staff was in the dining room chatting which took away from the experience (it didn't feel like fine dining). the fried eggplant was the best! the creole chicken was good but not mind blowing. the bread pudding was chewy but the flavor was good. they brought out a panna cotta for my birthday which was very kind but not good at all. overall the service and food was good but i don't think i would go out of my way to go there again.
This restaurant probably has the strictest dress code among
This restaurant probably has the strictest dress code among all the high end restaurants in New Orleans. Gentlemen without a jacket cannot dine in their main dining room and have to be escorted to the 33 Dining Room next door. They do have a bunch of jackets hanging by the door for customers to borrow if needed. Tennis shoes and sneakers are not allowed for both ladies and gentlemen even at lunch time. We dined in the 33 Dining Room which is less classy and it got pretty noisy. Service was excellent, really attentive and the staff checked on us frequently. The three of us shared their Duck and Andouille Gumbo, Soufflé Potato, Oyster Rockefeller, Chicken Creole, Bouillabaisse, and USDA Prime Ribeye. We asked for the steak to be prepared blackened and they did a really nice job of it. Most other restaurants we went to in New Orleans wouldn't do blacken. The food was good in general but not exceptional. They did have the best gumbo among all the restaurants we tried this trip (Antoine, Brennan's, Commander's Palace, Oceana Grill, etc.).
Some really nice dishes, particularly the duck gumbo and
Some really nice dishes, particularly the duck gumbo and the crab grautin -- delicious. Impeccable service. Crowd was a bit uptight, but can't blame the restaurant for that.
Nice food but improvements needed for the service
We were a company of seven and tried several different dishes. Most of it was really good. However, the service could be better. Dishes were almost thrown at the table, the waiter dripped oil on my colleague's shirt and dipped his coat in my food.
Terrific food and service
Galatories is another long term restaurant in NOLA that has been there for decades if not a century or more. We had a wonderful lunch and I had fresh line caught Pompano, my favorite fish, cooked beyond perfection. They have a great wine list and an extensive menu. It is another place we will return to again and again. Highly recommend for lunch or dinner
Please don’t go to Galatoire’s it’s not wo
We asked for gluten free as my friend is proper celiacs -we tell the waiter and he comes back saying mustard aioli is not gluten free ( how proper mustard ca contain gluten?????) . She orders the foie gras instead - it comes on a slice of bread!!!! She then sends it back. It reappears and I joke that they have just taken it off the bread and re-served it….. not a joke as it turns out - she has disappeared into the bathroom unwell. In the meantime we have been served our entrees (which were cold) before I even finished my appetiser. Absolutely disgusting. Please do not come to this restaurant.
Have been here so many times and each time exceeds the last.
The waiters and waitresses are so knowledgeable on the menu and never steer me wrong when I want to try something new. Cauliflower au gratin is my newest obsession here. Definitely not something I would've ordered if it hadn't been recommended. Great wine options as well
We decided to do one super fancy high end meal this trip
We decided to do one super fancy high end meal this trip and we were trying to decide between Galatoire's and Antoine's. I chose Galatoire's because I love seafood. The website says men need to wear a jacket. We learned this wasn't exactly true as non-jacketed men were seated in a side room. I actually liked this side room better than the main dining room (my husband had a jacket, we just happened to get seated on the side). The side is warm decor with deep woods and greens, the lighting is less harsh, and it seemed like there was more room between tables. Anyway, service was impeccable. One thing that can annoy me about fancy restaurants is that the server comes by every 5 minutes to check in. At Galatoire's they had a real sense of when to stop by and when to let you eat. I started with the turtle soup (I feel guilty for eating it, but damn it's good) that had a sherry float. We also had oysters rockefeller which were divine. I had the sauteed Pompano and I'm still thinking about how delicious that was. It was topped with jumbo lump crab--so sweet and succulent. My husband had friend Sheepshead smothered in shrimp etouffee. We also had creamed spinach and Lyonnaise Potatoes. Honestly, we didn't need the sides, we had more than enough food. Still, not deterred we had the key lime tart and the pecan pie. Everything was beyond delicious.
Terrible service from beginning to end!!
This was by far the worst service and subpar food we have ever had at a fine dining establishment. After 20 minutes of waiting we finally had to ask the assistant server for the drink menu / regular menu. When ordering my son was told that they were out of multiple items. 2 out of the 3 of us had already put our order in, so we told the server to give our son a minute to pick something out. She did not return for another 15 minutes - this was to bring our appetizers. We then informed her that we still needed to put his order in. Our wine glasses were low and she did not grab our bottle of wine to refill, nor did we get another loaf of bread that we requested. We finished our appetizers and sat there with our dirty plates in front of us for another 30 minutes. We asked for another Shirley Temple for our son which we never received. When we finally got our entrees ( after being there for 1 1/2 hours, my husband's filet mignon was at best room temperature. Our server never came by to check on us. My husband finally found the maitre de to let him know what was happening. Unbelievably, they returned 5 minutes later with the same cut into steak, but only the I side was slightly warmed. The ONLY way to get a cool outside and warm inside would be if they microwaved it. The server never came by to check on us even after this. We were never offered dessert menus either. In all of our years we have always tipped and tipped well. After all that had transpired and the utter lack of service, we did not tip. The server positioned herself between us and the door and confronted us about it! After almost never coming by our table for service, she had grabbed the book to see her tip within less than a minute.
Tried the famous souffle potatoes as well as turtle soup
Tried the famous souffle potatoes as well as turtle soup given my first time in New Orleans - both were unique. Turtle soup sort of just reminded me of a lentil soup and worth trying once but probably wouldn't get again. Crab Yvonne was tasty but didn't notice any artichokes and would have been disappointed with this as an entree if didn't share the veal chop (as seemed more like a side dish). Veal chop was phenomenal with the red wine sauce. Someone also got the salmon with the lemon caper sauce and loved the sauce. Bread pudding and the pecan pie were also both very good. Wearing a jacket seemed a bit unnecessary given probably the least fancy of all the restaurants we dined in that week, but we knew we had to going in so guess it was our choice not to go if we wanted. Probably wouldn't go ever again if in the area to avoid having to pack one and to me wasn't worth it given thought some of the other restaurants in the area were better and had nicer ambience.
Superior service and food.
Comfortable surroundings and friendly throughout. Would recommend for nice evening with family or friends.

We've been here before many years ago and the quality of the food was 10x better. I never send food back, but my trout entree was overcooked and tough. The second time they brought it out, it was undercooked and smell like fish that had been sitting out lukewarm on the counter for a day. I had my fiancé try a bit too to make sure I wasn't being picky - he agreed the fish tasted spoiled and smelled horrible, even with the lemon blanc sauce on top. We called for the floor manager and told her we didn't mean to complain, but the food was inedible. She offered a cup of gumbo which was delicious. We didn't even mention my fiancé's steak which was waaaay undercooked (he asked for medium and got RARE with blood oozing out). The dessert was great, and the service was a 3.5 out of 5, but sadly the entrees are 1 out of 5 and we won't be coming back again.
I was having trouble with their reservation system
I was having trouble with their reservation system confirming the incorrect reservation time, so I called. Three times. Held for more than five minutes each time. Left two messages. Never received returned call. Figured if they were this bad at managing reservations, it wasn't worth trying their food.
Traditional, old-school New Orleans fare
Great menu that represents traditional New Orleans. The main dining room gets really loud - ask for a table in the back if you want it a little quieter.
A very elegant restaurant where we spent my wife's Birthday
A very elegant restaurant where we spent my wife's Birthday during our trip to New Orleans. Located right on bourbon street, Galatoire is New Orleans French elegance mixed with interesting creole twist.
Classic Atmosphere and Dining, Well Known -- Plus a Service Bonus
Historic landmark that it is, Galatoire's doesn't need any more from us. Except to offer credit for their readiness to manage our reservation under the stress of timing. It was not so easy to make our early-evening dinner reservation through the website system in the first place -- as we got into that afternoon and were buried in traffic well outside the city, it became obvious that we had no chance of being on time. A phone call direct to the restaurant put me in touch with a most helpful person -- name unknown or this hat-tip would be personal -- her reaction to my tale of woe was immediately to ask what later time would be convenient, and she made the switch with spirit and style. The hospitality sector at its best.
Great places for dining experience.
Great hors d'oeuvre served before the dinner. The Bar had limited options for hard drinks. We had prefix menu, the kitchen was flexible with accommodating my Special diet. The ambiance was not appealing on the 2nd level. They however have an amazing Balcony view. The service was great and the servers were courteous.
Waiter was very helpful and knowledgeable .
The food was great. You can feel the tradition.
There are so many better places than this.
The oysters Rockefeller and Escargot were really good but our entrees were very bland and flavorless... we ordered the shrimp etoufee, gumbo, bouillabaisse, chicken Clemenceau. All bland. The ambiance was terrible. The place had a strict dress code but everything in there was old and very lackluster. Not impressed at all. I have to say this one more time.... Flavorless!!!
100%
Ambiance was lively (noisy). Service is a bit confusing & slow (Made reservations, seated at a table with no place settings or menus. Table got set while we were sitting at the table. Got a drink menu a few minutes later and a dinner. Menu about 10 minutes later. In my opinion, the ambience did not warrant the need for a sportcoat. The food was quite tasty (even for my standards - I find a lot of food, tasteless)
Worst experience in New Orleans!
Just had such a terrible experience here. First I wanted to push back my reservation by 30 minutes, so I called 5 different times throughout the day and was on hold for over 5 minutes, just to get the answering machine. So I left a message requesting a later reservation. When I showed up, they had charged me $20 per person for a "cancellation". The host said he would apply the fee as a credit. We got seated because there were plenty of open tables. When we did get seated, I asked for a high chair for my 8 month old baby. We had to ask different people 4 different times over the course of 30 minutes who all said they would bring a high chair. And also, our server never even visited our table for over 30 minutes while we sat there! At one point we over heard a busser yelling at a server in front of guests. When we finally did get a server, he was distant, inattentive and basically non existent except for quickly taking our order. My wife and I both ordered sprites/7 ups and were given soda waters. Not sure why. Of the appetizer and 2 entrees we ordered, one of the entrees were good, the app and the other entree were meh. Then I asked for a salad to go for my mother back at the hotel, and I specifically said no eggs. The waiter confirmed no eggs. When we opened the salad box back at the hotel? Of course it had eggs, which my mom is allergic too. Finally, we had such a bad experience that we just wanted to leave, and (this is my fault) I stupidly didn't notice they never applied a credit to my meal. So I still got charged for a cancellation + my meal!! I should have checked, but also, do the job you said you would do. I called multiple times to try to get a refund for the salad the cancellation and got the answering machine again after a 5 minute hold. Left my name and number but have not gotten a call back. DO NOT GO HERE. THIS PLACE HAS BEEN BY FAR THE WORST PART OF MY TRIP TO NEW ORLEANS. Some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced.
Galatoire's is still all that
We've been going to Galatoire's as a family for decades now and the place is still as lovely, charming and delightful as ever. The food is, as it has always been, insanely delicious, and the service is wonderful. Even the youngest / newest members of the wait team understand that people come to Galatoire's for something much more than a meal, they come for an experience. And the entire team delivers on that experience. Highly recommend.
Don’t Miss Dinner at Galatoire’s
Dinner at Galatoire’s did not disappoint. Early in the day I stopped in to make a dinner reservation. The host was very welcoming and assured me an early dinner would be possible. When I arrived I was immediately greeted and shown to my table in the front dining room by the same host. This dining room is rather unassuming with tile floor and high ceiling. I did not have an opportunity to see the other dining room or the bar area in Galatoire 33. Dinner began with an amazing loaf of French bread, from a local bakery. The Galatoire’s Signature Cocktail was similar to an old fashioned. I started with the soufflé potatoes which were cooked crisp and were not at all oily. And the accompanying sauce was outstanding. For my entree I chose one of the daily specials - a blackened pompano with crab meat and brown butter sauce. The pompano was perfectly cooked, flakey, and delicious. The flaked crab on top was amazingly sweet. A glass of Harvey & Harriet White Blend was exactly what the entree needed. Service was attentive without being overwhelming. Overall, an excellent experience and I highly recommend to anyone seeking delicious food in a classic NOLA dining establishment.
Friday lunch
We had Friday lunch in the main dining room and it was SPECTACULAR! I have eaten lunch here before but not in the main dining area and it just isn’t the same experience. The food is good, not amazing, but the atmosphere more than makes up for it!
Birthday Dinner to Remember
As I'm writing this review, I checked to see that the TripAdvisor rating for this restaurant is only #183 out of 1119 in the city of New Orleans. That is a surprising tidbit for me, as our dining experience would have belied that rating. Then again, we only dined out four nights during our stay. It was a very good dining experience. Not the best we had but it was definitely noteworthy. I want to give props to our server - Gindy! He had a swag to him that fit right into the ambiance. We were there celebrating my husband's and his twin's 61st birthday, and it was special! The staff and entire restaurant joined in and sang Happy Birthday, and it didn't seem one bit tacky like it does at other chain restaurants and steak houses. Some of the menu items we shared were the Canape Lorenzo, (delicious) Oysters Rockefeller and Shrimp Remoulade. I had the Seafood Okra Gumbo and it was just what I had been waiting for in terms of New Orleans food! It was excellent, and included a couple of big oysters, shrimp and plenty of okra. Soooooo good!! I also had the Godchaux Salad [minus the anchovy fillet] and it was fresh and delicious with a substantial amount of lump crab meat. My husband ordered the Crab Yvonne which was served like a French cassolette, and he enjoyed it very much. And, my brother-in-law ordered one of the big steaks (rare), and it looked divine, even though I am a pescatarian. We all shared the Cauliflower au Gratin and I loved that as well; it was a delicious and unique menu item. I think things got a little busy in the restaurant and my brother-in-law didn't get the glass of wine with dinner that he had asked Gindy to pick out. Other than that, the entire birthday dining experience was great! Gindy helped us to select the best desserts and we shared the Bread Pudding and the Mocha Panna Cotta.
A Mixed Meal on Bourbon Street
We arrived at, Galatorie’s for lunch at 11:25 for 11:30 reservation on Wednesday December 27th. Galatorie’s opens at 11 30 and there was a long line of people waiting down this sidewalk to enter. As we waited in-line, large parties were being seated. People associated with these large groups pushed through the line to be seated with these parties. This was irritating. There must be a better way to seat the large parties and not have the rest of the people waiting to be seated jostled and moved out of the way. We were seated relatively quickly. As many reviews have pointed out the place is noisy once it becomes crowded. The main dining room has green wall paper with gold fleur-de-lis at the upper 1/3 of the room, white painted wood which contain mirrors as the middle third and dark wood paneling as the lower third. There are golden coat hooks above the mirrors around the room. The tables had white tablecloths and hair pin style chairs. The waiters were dressed in black suits. This cooks come by dressed in chef’s whites. The tableware is standard restaurant supply. There was a water containing pitcher on each table which is nice touch. A jacket is required for a male guest. There is a selection jackets available if you do not have one on your person when you arrive. As we were seated we were given menus and a cocktail list. We were asked about our preferences for water. After the water arrived, we are asked if we would like a cocktail or other beverage. I ordered iced tea. The tea was very good. Bread was delivered to the table. Red was a small French roll which was good. For appetizers we ordered Foie Gras and Sweetbreads. The sweetbreads were cooked well. The lemon caper beurre blanc added a nice acidotic note. The dish was a success. The Hudson Valley foie gras with pain perdu, cane syrup gastrique, apricot chutney was good except for the foie gras which was cool. It was seared well. It seems that after being cooked it was allowed to sit before being delivered to the table. This was a disappointment. I also ordered a bowl of the Duck and Andouille Gumbo. I was brought a cup of the gumbo. The cup sized serving is what a lot of other restaurants in New Orleans would serve as a bowl. The dark roux was very well done and delicious. The gumbo was very good and was the high point of the meal. My wife had the Bouillabaisse and I had the Crab Yvonne as our main courses. The bouillabaisse had all the seafood listed (jumbo lump crab, shrimp, oysters, gulf fish, saffron shellfish stock) but the saffron was muted, the stock did not have much flavor and the seafood was overcooked. The Crab Yvonne contained jumbo lump crab, artichoke hearts, mushrooms, green onions, meuniére sauce and was delicious. It however is a one-note dish and needs to have something to eat with it to allow the flavor to continue to be delicious. It came with no accompaniments to eat with it. There was bread on the table which did help. A side dish or a starch would make this a better dish to eat. I had not eaten this discharge before and did not know there needed to be something extremity eat with it. There were side dishes available to order. During our meal another older waiter brought us the wrong food. He tried to deliver Eggs Sardou and an omelet. The omelet looked over cooked. The Eggs Sardou looked and smelled fine. We informed him we did not order this food. He looked at his waiter’s pad and delivered the food to the next table. He then came back in asked what we wanted to order. We explained we have already ordered with a different waiter and he stated he was not aware that. He looked a little befuddled. He left in within a few minutes or main courses did arrive. The menu leans towards seafood with lump crab meat being offered on multiple salads, appetizers, main courses and as a garnish. The wine cyst contains a good selection of wines by the glass which seem reasonably priced and an extensive expensive when list. The cocktail prices were average. The question at the end of any review is would you returned for another meal. The answer is I would return to Galatorie’s to dine again in the future

Great Service - amazing dinner!!
Read about the site in NYT and bought a reservation at Mother Wolf in LA 2 days later. Worked great and the food was amazing!!!
Worked perfectly!
Got the reservation (that I couldn't get anywhere else) and was able to entertain a group of friends at the infamous Bern's Steakhouse.
Got into Nobu Malibu
Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!
Very easy
Was very hesitant going into this experience but am glad to say that it worked out very well ! will definitely use appointment trader in the future
Fabulous Lunch
I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!
Great reviewer team
Just wanted to take a second to shout out the reviewer team. Even though they probably review hundreds of listings and bids a day, they still take the time to leave great comments and respond relatively quickly. Thanks!
Incredible
I got a reservation to Don Angie, which I've been trying to book for weeks! I am very happy with this service.
Best platform out there!

Worked well, got me into a restaurant with no availability
I was skeptical, and I still don't really know how they managed to find this hard-to-find reservation, but it was a win-win from my point of view, and I'll use this service again.
Last minute reservation for Delilah Las Vegas
Got a last minute reservation, dinner for 2 at Delilah Las Vegas: super impressed! The process was simple, transaction seamless. We had an amazing time! Couldn’t be happier! 😍
It works!
Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!
Money transfer
As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.
Love this app
Got to go to places otherwise unreachable
Easy Access
Very easy to get into one of the hardest restaurants to reserve in New York.
Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
Payouts Blocked Because of Sell Through Rate
Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

I will give you 50% of ALL of my PROFITS if you teach me how to make profits?
LOL. Thank you The New Yorker.
Appointment
Transferring reservations is not supported in AT. Why not just use the name in the AT screenshot?

Same goes for 4 Charles and I Sodi
Prepaid Reservation Fee
Agreed. Ultimately not addressing this month after month is clearly resulting in a drop in certain venue’s rankings & sales.
Congrats on 3 mil
🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🍾🧨🧨🧨 now on to 30 mill!
Need to cancel a bid, not getting a response… how do I do it?
Click on "Take off the Market Option" in your portfolio
Working on your bid?
Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.
Process after bid is accepted.
Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
