Good
Have been waiting to eat here for a long time, finally made it to NYC and had a delicious meal. The breads and appetizers were good, as were the pastas, even though the amatriciana was a bit heavy on the pepper heat. The Crown of Duck, couldn't wait to try, looks as good in person as the photos on the website. Yes it is good, but wasn't the best duck we had on this trip. The desserts were okay. Sticky toffee cake wasn't as good as many other places I've eaten it at for the past 15 years. The pumpkin creme brulee? Stick to traditional flavors next try. Take home lesson here? Kinda disappointed. Food: 4

We had a marvelous dinner here - worth the Michelin star in every way. Great service and the dinner was memorable. We followed the server's recommendations and so glad we did.

This is a wonderful restaurant. Good food, good service, nice atmosphere. Everything hit a high note. The honeynut squash bomboloni was excellent, as were the carrot (delicious), duck saucisson, rigatoni (outstanding), Pithivier and the chocolate dessert. Even the wine menu had some nice bottles for under $100 including some nice cote de beaunes.

We went here for a double birthday dinner. We were seated at a very comfortable banquet with full view of the kitchen. Started with cocktails which were expertly mixed, balanced and not watered down in the least. Then proceeded to order oysters, very fresh, madai - nice crudo which wasn't over marinated, light and refreshing. Had sweet corn bomboloni which was light and nicely flavored. Then for entrees the dry aged duck and pithivers for a vegetarian diner. The duck was wonderful, cooked to a perfect medium and served with a sauce you would eat with a spoon. It was accompanied by swiss chard (a little under seasoned) and a puree of parsnips, really good. I can't speak to the pithivers as I didn't have a taste. For desert we had the gateau, cheesecake and panna cotta, all excellent. The sommelier guided us to two separate reds which were nicely balanced and complemented the food. All in all a near perfect meal. It was a bit cool, temperature wise but OK. Our desserts were complemented by after dinner beverages. If you're a fan of duck, this is a must try place but you will haev a a sizable bill but definitely worth it.

Absolutely delicious and worthy of their recent Michelin star and worth a detour. The hospitality is impeccable. The Roman sourdough with sunflower seed spread deserves its own accolade, simple and refined flavors. The duck is what stole the evening though. Excellent presentation and most importantly, delicious tasting (eat the skin, you wonโt be sorry). Superb cocktails are the cherry on top.

Dinner here is an event you will long to repeat, the magic that Chef Cippoloni conjurs up in the kitchen will take your tastebuds somewhere they've never gone before! Our favorite from the nite was without a doubt the duckbreast...dry aged and perfectly rendered fat with crispy skin, it's presented tableside whole before being carved in the kitchen and re presented in a perfectly fanned out display of slices that seem to just wrap themselves around your tongue in an envelope of rich meaty flavor. The sourdough was a toss up between the 4 of us whether we liked the lardo or the vegan sunflower spread better (but both were amazing!). The duck bolognese lasagna cut with a fork like warm butter it's so delicate and light tasting. Surprisingly, the salad appetizer was also a standout, giving you a taste of all the perfectly prepared ingredients in every bite...quite a feat for some greens to be able to stand on their own on a table with so many other phenominal dishes! This is the magic of Chris Cippoloni's cooking; just enough to transform the ingredients but not too much that it's overdone...all the while creating a final dish that is greater than the sum of it's ingredients. Eating at Francie is not to be missed!
