Four Seasons Hotel Boston Reviews from The Last Year
Best Customer Service ever!
Jeanne Lynch managed to get me a recliner chair to sleep in with only a few hours notice, when she discovered I had a spine situation preventing me from sleeping in a flat bed. She went above and beyond !!!
Wonderful place to stay in Boston
Was in Boston to witness the NBA finals. What a series, What a crowd, what a feeling. Perfect location. A stroll by the gardens in the madness. Comfortable rooms. Many pubs and eateries in close vicinity. Clean comfortable rooms to wind down. Great amenities. Four seasons on top always
Tradition and Luxury in Boston
Four Seasons Boston is a gorgeous hotel in a fantastic location. Boston commons, Newbury St, Copley Plaza, Beacon Hill, and the theater district are all right out the front door or within a couple blocks. The staff are lovely and treat guests with respect and seem to truly want each guest to be happy, and they will work with you to help make any request possible. Renovations in the last few years have really updated the lobby and it has a clean, European, upscale cafe vibe. The coffee shop with made to order espresso drinks each morning is fantastic - included in your room for every guest. And kids will love the “Vaults” on each floor with candy and snacks. In fact, this hotel is very kid friendly and in a way that doesn’t detract for those traveling without kids. It is worth asking for and paying for a park view - unless you are a person who rarely opens the shades. And take a moment to enjoy their lobby level restaurant and bar for a superb cocktail in the evening. Bottom line: if it is within your price range, get yourself a park view room and enjoy, and I think you will be very happy staying here!
Still the Best in Boston!
My wife and I have been staying at The Four Seasons Boylston Street in Boston for several years. They have recently renovated the lobby and opened two new restaurants. They also have special amenities, including a beautiful outside patio area, “Vault Rooms” rooms with complimentary treats and snacks, and a cafe on site, also with complementary coffee and treats. The new breakfast only restaurant is at 10. It’s huge and absolutely gorgeous, with beautiful views of the Public Garden. The main restaurant on the ground floor is charming, both classic and modern at the same time. Food is a 10. The whole experience is just wonderful, the location cannot be beat, and the staff goes above and beyond in every respect.
Wonderful place to stay in Boston!!!!!
A wonderful place to stay in Boston. The Concierge, the service, the bar and restaurant staff were all top notch. Five stars indeed!!!
Poor check in and disappointment for a family function
We were kept waiting for an hour and a half beyond the checkin time and found that the room was not as ordered. As a result our rehearsal preparation was ruined and the weekend did not improve. Being the most expensive hotel I have ever stayed in the experience will not be repeated, anywhere for this chain.
Fastest degradation I have ever seen
1200$ a night for a single room with no coffee maker. No coffee available until 6:30. Coming down I find a line with 12 people in it. Asking about it I was told I could go to Starbucks. This in a hotel at 5000$ for three nights in a non-suite room. They have a snack room with nuts, M&Ms, Swedish Fish and flavored water. No coffee, no Tea. Room was hot. Woke up covered in sweat. No sheet change.
Perfect central location in Boston.
I always find myself gravitating towards the Four Seasons because of its proximity to every other part of downtown Boston. The staff is incredibly hospitable and the service is exceptional in every way. It continues to be my favorite place to stay in Boston.
Not your father's Fourseason's
I hadn't stayed at the hotel in many years. It's been refurbished, rested and re-energized. It's pretty darn flawless! The location is incredible right in the center of it all and downtown Boston so easy to get everywhere! It's the best Train hotel staff in the world by far! I stayed in Toronto and they didn't even compare and that's the flagship hotel! They were fine but they didn't compare to this hotel. The swimming pool is divine. The gym is state of the art. I thought I was at Canyon Ranch! The view is beautiful and the staff is so finally tuned. I would have to say they are total rock stars! To top it off the espresso drinks and the coffee shop are free every morning and it's created quite the community around there! I love it if you traveling with a dog Park across the street is the best in the world the Boston Gardens
Great place for a relaxing stay
A magnificent hotel.. pricy but worth the dollars spent. Room was exceptionally clean.. bed the most comfortable we have had in our travels.. the restaurant a pure joy to sit and enjoy a meal after our long flight from Lisbon. We had clam chowder with lobster thrown in. What a treat! Wow!!.plus a lovely side salad.. wonderfully paired with wine and then off to a well deserved sleep in that comfortable bed! A fitting end to a long travel day!
Tufts Medical Reunion
Excellent Room, Food, Staff interaction, and facility! Great Location. Dining for lunch: menu excellent choices. Sleeping: so quiet you could hear a pin drop, and wonderful linens. Terrific facility for a reunion. Mike
The best, most enjoyable breakfast in the Western
The best, most enjoyable breakfast in the Western Hemisphere is in the Four Seasons on Boylston St. Huge windows onto the lively and beautiful Boston Public Garden are the backdrop to really exceptional food and service. My Lobster Benedict had more lobster than a typical lobster roll, and it was so deliciously chewy that I was the last person to finish eating. The name of the restaurant, 'Aujourd'hu', is French for "amazingly excellent, and prices are much too low for this quality". I never mention names in reviews like this, but if the Wonderful Wilma is in attendance when you go, you're in luck.
Four Seasons Boston was Incredible!!!!
From the moment we pulled up to the Four Seasons and were welcomed to the hotel to every interaction after, the experience was amazing. The hotel is absolutely goreousm, the room was impeccable (and I am a clean freak!), and the amenities were abundant.. From the valets who greeted us when we would walk into the hotel to the reception desk to the bartender to the waitress at the restaurant and all in between, everyone we met at the Four Seasons went above and beyond! They were courteous, professional, and friendly. We are very much looking forward to our next visit!
Perfect stay for Marathon Weekend
Fantastic weekend in Boston for the marathon. The location is perfect, but what really stands out about this property is the service. Every single staff member is fantastic- so friendly, helpful, and genuinely kind.
Superior service and hospitality
Top shelf hospitality without pretension. The staff seem genuinely happy to be working there and meeting the needs of guests. Gorgeous interior in both the public spaces and the guest rooms. Perfect location. Caters so well to families with children. Can't wait to stay there again.
Wonderful Stay 5STAR PLUS
Attentive and thoughtful staff. Four Seasons at 200 Boyleston is now our Boston go-to if they will have us. Next time park view room is a must!!
Marathon Weekend
We stayed over Marathon Weekend. Perfect location for all of the marathon events. Easy to get to the Expo and right across from the bus pick up. Staff was very helpful and happy to help with any request. Numerous restaurants and shops are close by.
5 Stars for Marathon Weekend
I was one of many hotel guests who stayed at The Four Seasons Boston this past weekend who ran the Boston Marathon. The positive check in experience, well appointed room, attentive and delicious room service, and the complimentary party post race party for runners made my stay memorable.
Boston Marathon Trip!
Had the best long weekend over the Boston Marathon. The front door was charming, professional, & so helpful! They were always up for a chat, recommendations, etc! Made up feel special. Nina, Brian, and the entire team was amazing! The gentlemen that was at the front door and ran the marathon in the past was also outstanding with tips and recommendations! Front desk always looked up and greeted us back “home.” The coffee service in the morning-10/10 and such a nice feature, very unique & noteworthy. The Vault. Don’t ever let this go away…. It was so FUN, & we are adults! We will recommended this property because of the “extras,” and service of course. We took advantage of the pool and spa area daily. Locker rooms are well supplied & staffed. Room cleaning was perfect too! The 27th mile experience was so fun. The after party, snacks, beer, beverages, photo back drop and DJ made the runners feel so special. The cheer section from the staff out front was so spectacular & appreciated! Your staff makes the experience here! We are grateful, you stand out among the other properties- even among other Four Season properties, so thank you!
Rachid is the best!
Is this place the best? I think so - Rachid did an absolutely amazing job, took care of us multiple times and made our stay an incredible time. Thank you Rachid, we love you! Will be back as soon we can, hopefully next year for Boston? Thank you again y’all!
Must have experience in Boston!
Excellent location! Love the upgrades since the renovation. Can’t beat the view of the park. Swimming pool and vault room is a nice bonus. Enjoyed the special touches like the hot chocolate and goodies in the lobby. Slept well in the incredible bed! Bonus - our dog joined us and got the same royal treatment!
Perfect for a sweet tooth !
We stayed at this lovely hotel during a brief stay in Boston. The rooms were standard Four Seasons , but we loved the updated gym, awesome hot chocolate at 3:30, and the “Vault”. I’ve never seen a room specific for candy , popcorn , snacks , and other yummy treats . The staff at the hotel is super friendly and willing to help the guests. Their bar could use a fun update / very prime and stuffy .
Best Ever
Well, if you heard that the Four Seasons had amazing customer service - this hotel is the epitome of that. From the bell man outside, to the wonderful lady checking us in (Avalon), to the snack room and the guest room. What a fantastic place. We loved everything about it. The morning coffee bar was an exceptional hit as well. They will make you any coffee that you want and its included. Kind, Friendly, Pristine, Wonderful. All words I would use to describe the Four Seasons in Boston.
WOW, WOW, WOW! This review is only for the relatively new
WOW, WOW, WOW! This review is only for the relatively new lobby changes. Stopped by for what I thought would be an enjoyable, leisurely after dinner drink. My husband and I have stayed at this property for over 20+ years but obviously not since the renovation. The joy of a Four Seasons experience begins in the lobby, the round table filled with a fantastic smelling, beautiful array of flowers. Smart furniture, thoughtfully and invitingly arranged in the lobby, a Concierge and large check in area. The "new" lobby lacks all that! No flowers, no furniture in the main lobby, a stingy and barren looking check in area, overwhelmed by overwrought garish green wall paper. The once gracious lobby bar (admittedly considered the prettiest in Boston) is now closed and guests are shunted off to a bizarre (for Four Seasons) anteroom which, I completely agree with a prior poster resembles a Disneyesque tearoom. Bistro tiled flooring, two chaise sitting areas and the remainder either dining tables or high tops. We thought we had arrived in the breakfast room but, "No", this is the new Four Seasons bar. What a disappointing experience, we had our drink and beat a hasty retreat (along with a few other couples who appeared to be, like us, looking for a relaxing nightcap, they didn't even bother to stay after seeing the " offering"). How the mighty have fallen and to such depths. I was saddened, disappointed and embarrassed for the staff.
We love the Four Seasons! We had one of our first dates at
We love the Four Seasons! We had one of our first dates at the former Bristol Lounge, then got engaged on Valentines Day at the Four Seasons, and came back here to get married in May 2023. We had a delicious meal in the new Coterie restaurant for an intimate family wedding gathering. We will likely stay at the Four Seasons to celebrate many anniversaries to come
Wow. Major bummer. This 4S had one of the most iconically
Wow. Major bummer. This 4S had one of the most iconically beautiful and sophisticated bar/lounges in the country, overlooking Boston Common. It was spectacular year round, but particularly during the Holidays. Brought a large group there to enjoy it this weekend, only to discover they have destroyed it, and replaced it with some tiny, chopped up bad dream replica of an ice cream shop at Disney. Honestly, I am still speechless. They took it from class to ass. Horrible. Which buffoons thought this would be a good idea???
I had the WORST experience at your dining room at the Four
I had the WORST experience at your dining room at the Four Seasons at the Public Garden in Boston on Dec. 1. I was taking a good friend out to lunch. We drove up in a luxury car and the valet said it was $45 CASH to park. I said I was lucky to have cash, and then he said it would only be $40. We walked into the Fr. restaurant on the first floor. There was no one at the hostess station to greet us, and finally we saw a waitress who said to sit wherever we wanted. Then a woman in a black outfit with an Ipad walked over to the table and asked for my name and cell phone no. and if we were hotel guests or residents of the Four Seasons condos. REALLY! I asked why, and she said "In case you leave anything here or there is a problem with your credit card." We were dressed well and could obviously pay for for lunch. Shocking and insulting. Finally the waitress came over. I ordered a salad with shrimp and my friend ordered tofu. The waitress asked if I wanted the shrimp RAW or grilled. I asked about RAW, and ordered it grilled, obviously. Anyway, she brought the wrong drink for me, forgot to bring more breadsticks my friend had asked for, etc. The salad had no flavor in the skimpy dressing and my friend said she liked her entree, but I'm not sure she was just being polite. The bill was over $100 plus tip...The coke and tea were $10 each. I don't mind paying exorbitant prices for a delicious, elegant meal in a wonderful restaurant, but this was a horrid experience. Shocking. I don't know why we were so mistreated from the get go! I will never go back to the Four Seasons at the Public Garden. Appalling.
My wife and I are visiting Boston for a couple of days
My wife and I are visiting Boston for a couple of days after spending time in Maine for the fall foliage. Staying at a extremely nice hotel in Boston next to the Common and while on an afternoon walk today decided to stop by and have a drink and a bite to eat in the Four Seasons bar/lounge. We were greeted by the young hostess and as we looked around at the 20-30 open tables , (only one was occupied by four ladies at 3pm), we asked if we could get a drink and a bite to eat......she asked if we were staying at the hotel and we replied no..... her facial expression changed and said due to high occupancy at the hotel, she could not offer us a table. We were dressed nicely, all american looking and we are both professionals. It was shocking. Felt like we were in the movie Pretty Woman and although money is not an issue with us, we felt like we were being treated like people they felt didn't belong there. What a joke. Definitely didn't want to spend money there after that anyways. Changed my opinion of Four Seasons hotels which we have stayed at many times. Maybe this is a case of a rogue hostess but if not, Four Seasons you need to check yourselves.
