Fogo de Chão Brazilian Steakhouse Las Vegas Reviews from The Last Year
Great dining experience!
Such a fun and prestige place to eat out with other couples. Loved the buffet, loved the little gluten free rolls and all the choices of meat. So easy to pay one amount, yes it’s a bigger amount. It’s Vegas go big or go home. Those complaining about the water you can ask for tap water. Which we wanted to try to taste the difference, the tap water was terrible. Definitely was glad to pay for good water. I even bought a 24 pack of Acqua Panna for my son after I left Vegas so he wouldn’t drink the tap water that they have in Vegas. I will definitely visit Fogo again and I can’t wait!
Service from waiters and staff was great Issues are there
Service from waiters and staff was great Issues are there having sufficient meats on floor to service customers We wanted the full experience of 14 different cuts of meat, got 5. We were thankful they recognized failure and did not bill us Hope they get better. Love this place
This review is mostly based on the service provided.
The food was on point as always. I've only been to one other location, and that was in San Antion. The difference in service was night and day. When my wife and I first arrived to check in, our table was not ready. We were asked to wait by the lobby where the bar was located and the ambiance was chill. However, I think we waited longer than we should have. Ok, not a big deal. Next they decided to sit us in the corner of the restaurant. Not a big deal. I'm mostly here for the food. It's till after the waitress comes and takes our drink order that I begin to get frustrated. We got two waters which we were not told there would be a 16 dollar charge on until I seen it on the bill. After getting our salad bar, we then begin to wait patiently for meat to come out. We ate off our plates and could have gone for seconds but waited to finish our plate since the whole point is to eat the meat provided. My wife and I are sitting there, looking at each other, the waiters and other people around eating and being offered meat. Keep in mind our card placed green side up. Finally our waitress shows up again from the first time, and says she'll have them bring out some steak and sides which she never brought out. Someone then finally comes out and offers us some steak nearly half an hour after we first sat down. This was our experience for the next 45 minutes or so. Waiting for them, looking at an empty plate and asking for steak, which at that point the red/green card seemed irrelevant. Awful experience and a bad first impression on my wife. Remember this is only in comparison to the location in San Antonio. Which had excellent service and I was in and out in about an hour or so, compared to two hours.
I've been calling Fogo because I have a couple of questions
I've been calling Fogo because I have a couple of questions about our dinner reservations tonight and been on hold for over 40 minutes, twice...
Everything is good.
The service is great. The interior could use some updating and maybe add some things to the salad bar.
It was my sisters wedding reception dinner at this place.
It was also my first time there. I originally thought our dinner service was very rushed, before I could cut the meat to taste it, they were coming in with another selection. We decided to turn over our cards to red thinking it would slow them down. That didn't happen and they kept coming one right after another with meat choices. We managed the rush and everything was flowing. Then after a we had been there for a bit and ready to cut the cake, the tide changed. Diogo Piacentini entered the room making an announcement that our time was up. It was embarrassing for the bride, groom and their family for him to make such an embarrassing announcement. iIt is my opinion that it would have been excellent customer service to keep the paying customer abreast of the time making sure they didn't go over in privacy. Asking to speak with him after his embarrassing announcement, made no difference in customer service. He was dismissive of my concern. I asked to speak with his supervisor who was Joao Gomes, which was also a waste of my time. I was a guest and if there was a specific time to clear the room, someone from the restaurant could have informed the paying party, maybe an hour or 1/2 hour closer to that end time. The bride and groom and family were embarrassed. Gomes his supervisor falsely accused me of using profanity, when asking to privately speak with him away from customers. He boldly lied! It is disgraceful when a supervisor co-signs terrible customer service. It was rude and embarrassing for the paying customer to have her guest be put on notice that their time is up and they needed to clear the room because other guest are waiting. That should have been told to the bride and or groom in private. Rudeness and Unprofessionalism should be called out when you have paid for a service you did not receive. The guest took home wedding cake to go due to the rush to clear the room. These two men ruined what was to be a beautiful wedding celebration. Is this customary treatment of people of color or do you treat everyone this way?
Dear Fogo de Chao Las Vegas, Thank you for the marvelous
Dear Fogo de Chao Las Vegas, Thank you for the marvelous evening you gave my guests and me at last night's Wagyu & Wine Bar Fogo Event. EVERYTHING about the evening was perfection: the menu options, the wine selections, the intimate dining environment, the logistics and set-up, and the FLAWLESS service by everyone who came to our table. We are always proud to introduce our friends to Fogo, and we are very grateful to each of you for your service and kindness to us.
A close friend of mine took me out to eat here for Mexican
A close friend of mine took me out to eat here for Mexican Mothers Day. I was so excited when she invited me. Us being single mothers in all, in between work and kids we never get a chance to go out and enjoy ourselves. On top of waiting 30 minutes with a reservation, we finally got seated. The server greeted us with a kind welcoming smile, explained the menu to us. We ordered 2 alcoholic beverages that took 20 minutes to get. On top of that the meats kept coming around to every table except ours. I didn't want to complain but just had to tell the server that the meats weren't coming around. He assured us that he would fix the issue in which he did. Meats started coming around. The food was okay, some of the meats were dry. I still made sure I got my moneys worth lol. But what really kicked me off after all our service encounters. We witnessed a woman making a Brazilian drink passing it all around the restaurant. I noticed that she went to every table except for ours. While waiting for our dessert a different server approached us in an aggressive manner, "asked us if everything was okay". I assume it was because we were just sitting there. We replied that we were just waiting for our desserts. 20 minutes later desserts finally came. It was good, not sure if worth the wait. Server came to our table brought us a bill and not even a have a good night, a thank you for dining with us nothing. I don't recommend this restaurant to anybody due to the service and I definitely won't be coming back even if it was for free. Here's a picture I took of the lady making Brazilian drinks and never offered us anything.
Food and service always consistent in Las Vegas.
The $40 special is a great deal. We enjoyed our time there and have returned a few times.
Every time I go to Las Vegas, I eagerly anticipate the
Every time I go to Las Vegas, I eagerly anticipate the sophisticated and real churrasco experience offered by Fogo de Chão Brazilian Steakhouse. Every meal is made extra special by their emphasis on tableside carving of perfectly cooked, slow-roasted meats over an open flame. My particular favorites are the Picanha, which has an amazing rich, savory flavor, and the Fraldinha, which is bottom sirloin with a delicate, tasty bite. Complementing these are the restaurant's ample salad bar and the classic cheese bread, or pão de queijo, which makes a delicious beginning to any meal. Families and groups will love the sophisticated yet friendly atmosphere. The fine food and faultless service make the price point, which befits the upscale atmosphere of the restaurant, worthwhile. The personnel makes sure you never run out of your favorite meat cuts and is very attentive. On request, the informed servers are pleased to bring particular meats right to your table or to accommodate dietary restrictions. Along with the creative cocktails, I like the well chosen wine list, which goes nicely with the strong churrasco flavors. For a real and immersive Brazilian dining experience in Las Vegas, Fogo de Chão is still a top option, even if service quality has sometimes fluctuated.
I'm in , rush.
..Entered speaking English and Portuguese ... 2 ladies up front first don't even lift their eyes from the table, one walks away ( no hello or anything) nods at the other one and says: "she" The other one lifts her eyes, :how can I help you... Id like to have lunch at the bar ... She says go ahead I sit down Only one gentleman next to me. Bar tender doesn't even look at me ...not a word. After 2 minutes I leave Yes I was in rush but seriously Service not up to par...
Bad reservations system
Been here last year. Great experience but unfortunately couldn’t repeat this year. My reservation was overbooked and had to go to Morton’s…
Always a hit.
Always good food, good service. Water is not free though FYI. Anyone can find a something to eat here, so many options. Yumm!
Excellent for those who like meat.
Meat cooked on charcoal, which is already a big difference. Excellent service with polite and very helpful waiters.
Up selling without informing of extra cost.
The person that informed of meal first added to confusion spoke broken English hard to understand. Said special was Waygu steak but didn’t say it was a considerable extra cost each. Brought mini orange drinks again didn’t say additional cost, and wasn’t asked for. We did ask for the waygu steak so we paid for it but the drinks no way $500 for 17 drinks. 17 of us and bill was over $2,000. Only reason I gave a 3 rating the workers were polite and food was ok for the price. Then had to wait at table standing up trying to get someone to take our card to pay the bill, had to stop a waiter from across room to get someone to help with payment! WILL NEVER VISIT THAT PLACE IM VEGAS AGAIN!
Lower quality than you expect from a Brazilian restaurant
The service lacks a bit, we had to remember the waiter twice to bring us the green/red cards for the service (you have this card on the table, if you put the green side up they bring you more meat, if you put the red side up and he service is put on hold). Meat cuts are mediocre, often very fat. Instead, the wine list is good.
Will go again.
Delicious food. Service was awesome. We did kind of get stuck at a table that was out of the direct track of the guys bringing meat but it all worked out. Loved the bacon chicken, and some of the strip steak. Bread was yummy. Check the pricing cuz the website was $20 per person less. Good times.
Good food but that’s it
We had booked a table for 6 for 18:15 and got it 2 hours later. Total chaos, no system to receive guests in order. People without reservations on a waitlist got tables, while guests with bookings had to wait ”forever”.. When we finally got a table, they were quick with water bottles, but we got no glasses. When we got glasses, they were steaming hot (directly from the dishwasher). I commented that and got the reply ”it’s all we got”?? Then they dropped a tray with plates on us and 5 minutes later a tray with glasses. We then had to wait for ordering wine until we had alreadt eaten a while. Good meat, too bad the rest is seriously bad.
Overpriced and Scammers! Nasty SALTY meats
We have been to this location a few times for Christmas dinners. Last night we came without family. Family of 4. We ordered specific GLASSES of wine. But, the server rang up the most EXPENSIVE glasses of wine. $20 for a nasty glass of cheap wine. I know my wines Im a Food & Beverage director I asked for Pino Grigio. I received Chardonnay. Told the server but she lied through her teeth promising it was the pino Grigio that I requested. The salad bar was sub par and very messy. The meats ALL tasted the same and were salty as hell. Absolutely, disgusting! We paid almost $500 for a party of 4. That is absolutely crazy. I don’t mind paying that kind of money. But, it better be out of this world food and service. Very loud and chaotic atmosphere. Having bartenders going around peddling drinks is so incredibly unprofessional. People know there are bartenders/bar and if they want to drink, they will order it. But instead you present it to people as if it’s included in the high price meal. Walking around presenting the shrimp cocktail to tables while meat is being served and not telling them that it’s $26 acting like it’s included in the meal. Unless you are a person like me that has worked in the business. You would never know that it was all an extra charge. I am absolutely disgusted by the food. All of the meats tasted the same. ALL SALTY AS HELL. WHY? Also, why did I have to ask w times to try the filet migon? The table next to use requested it also several times. The only meets that kept going around our table was the nasty and the bacon, wrapped beef and bacon wrapped chicken. That came to our table for five times. We will never be back to eat at this restaurant. It is not all that it’s cracked up to be save yourself a headache and go down the street to Ruth Chris or Morton’s steakhouse pay the same money and have a way better meal and atmosphere.
Wait staff must work on commission!
Upon seating, we were provided with an alcoholic drink menu (with prices) and “told” we had two choices of water: natural or sparkling (no price mentioned). We replied “sparkling” and ordered a $43 bottle of wine and a $5 beer. Con #1: The $8.25 bottle of sparkling water we were “told” about. We were never informed of the additional cost. Con #2: The $43 bottle of wine. The wait staff informed us that certain wines were 50% off that night. We opted for the $43 bottle which at full price on the menu would be $86. It’s ironic that they couldn’t point out the price of the water but made it a huge selling point to tell us the wine was 50% off. I later researched the wine, and it is readily available for under $10 at various grocery stores. Maybe they got the decimal point in the wrong spot. I understand markup since they must pay rent, employees, etc. But be ethical about it. We have been to a Brazilian-style restaurant before and are familiar with the concept of continuous servings of various meats and the salad bar. This restaurant did not provide a menu. Rather we were “told” to scan a QR code and read about it on our phones with no further explanation provided by the wait staff. We did not even bother to look at the appetizer portion of the menu since we never eat appetizers. We ordered the “Experience” for two for a total of $133. Mind you, this Las Vegas restaurant is gigantic, and it was very busy on a Saturday night! However, the Salad bar is only slightly larger than my dining room table with all the extensions in place. So, we wait in line… Upon finally reaching the salad bar we filled our plates with wilted salad and a few other items. Notice I did not mention anything about salad dressing for our salads. That’s because our preferred salad dressing bowl was empty. Overall, the presentation of the salad bar was not good, and it was not kept full enough to accommodate all the customers. Furthermore, spread across the top were bell peppers and other garnishes that were wrinkled and looked like they had been sitting there for a couple of days. So back to the table with our wilted salad. Right away we are served a few cuts of meat right at the table. A couple were just good in our opinion, and one was straight-up raw. As the servers continued to deliver tableside meats a gentlemen stopped by and asked if we wanted shrimp. Since we were a little unsatisfied with the other meats we said “sure”. Con #3: The large $27 bowl of ice that had about 5 or 6 shrimp on it. Of course, we were not informed of the additional cost. Upon further research the next day I learned that the shrimp cocktail is an appetizer. At every other restaurant I have been to in my 54 years of life, an appetizer is offered and served before the main course. Not here! It is my opinion that they purposely intermingle it with the delivery of the other meats without informing patrons of the additional costs. In summary: In our opinion, the salad bar was not good. We ended up with wilted salad, no preferred salad dressing available, and poor presentation. The meat was just OK and some pieces were waayyy undercooked. Definitely not worth $133. When we go out to eat, we want to enjoy ourselves and be served. We don’t want to spend 30-minutes reading a menu from top to bottom, back to front, trying to decipher what is or is not included and what costs what. We also do not want to research every bottle of wine on the wine list to determine if it’s a fair market price. We certainly do not want to do either of these things on our cellphones in a semi-dark room. That is exactly what the wait staff gets paid and tipped to do. We have never experienced anything like this, and we will never return as we choose to give our money to ethical businesses that price their items upfront. Live and learn…

Thank you for the question, if a seller is working on answering your bid, you cannot cancel it until their time is up and the bid is released back to you. The full amount of funds then go back into your AT account. Typically a seller has 48-72 hours to complete the bid.
