Eyval Brooklyn Reviews from The Last Year
Highly highly recommended
Simply spectacular. We came with high expectations, but they were still exceeded. Everything was delicious, and the service was attentive and pleasant. If you like the flavor profile, you will have an amazing meal at Eyval. We will certainly be back.
Great food and service
This is a very interesting Persian restaurant. They have a lot of the dishes one would expect but made slightly different. Also, they have items that one would not expect in a Persian restaurant. All in all, the food was excellent as was the service. We went there at night, and it didn’t seem to be in the best of neighborhoods – no one else was on the street except one person sleeping on the street, but it is fairly close to the subway stop and we felt safe enough. I would go here again.
Food was overall really good, but kabobs came out room temp.
Definitely get the margarita!
Wow! What an amazing meal.
We went with our server's recommendations and they were all fabulous. I feel lucky we got in.

Great vibes in an intimate setting! Came here for dinner on a Saturday night and we were seated at the bar. I would definitely recommend making reservations! We got everything to share. The carrot borani and komaj bread were delicious. The citrus date and cabbage salad was a little too sweet and felt like a dessert. The butternut squash and feta was also hearty! Overall, the food had pretty filling proportions with a lot of spices and flavor!
Some of the best food i have put in my mouth.
I came here and I ate it. Service fine ambiance fine food amazing. Thank you.
I went again, it was amazing ignore snobbish last review.
Expensive but good. Still not really traditional Persian but thats what ravagh is for

My partner and I had a lovely dinner! We got to our reservation 15 mins early and were sat right away. The space is quite large with chill and casual vibes, service was friendly and swift, and the dishes were all beautiful, unique and tasty. We ordered the following: - Cucumber Mint mocktail. Refreshing and light. - Komaj & Barbari bread with Mast o Musir. Loved the freshness and smoothness of the dip. The komaj bread was soft and slightly sweet, while the barbari was more savory (our preference). - Lamb Ribs. So delicious - one of our favorite dishes of the night! The barberry and chili topping was a perfect contrast to the fatty lamb. - Kabob Koobideh. The kabob was so tender and flavorful - one of the best I've had. The tomato butter was interesting as well. - Scallop Kabob Ghalieh Mahi. Scallops were HUGE and seared perfectly. We also enjoyed the trout roe. Unfortunately the squid ink tamarind sauce was slightly too tart for our palette. - Gheymeh Bademjan. This dish was so cozy. The lamb tasted like it had been stewed for hours and the eggplant soaked up all the flavors. The rice was a perfect pair. The preserved lemon was too tart for us so we ended up scooping it off. - Saffron Ice Cream Sandwich. Tasted just like a Karachi biscuit. Overall, 100% worth a visit! I've noticed they change their menu quite frequently so I'll definitely be back to try more dishes!
Came here on NYE.
The service was exceptional, everyone from the host to the waitress. The star of the show was the lamb appetizer... amazing!! We ordered the labneh and the bread, so rich. Also got lamb entree which was good as well.

I rarely write reviews anymore, but just got home from dinner here and had to write a quick one. As an Iranian who grew up in California, I was exposed to a lot of great Persian restaurants. But they were all somewhat similar. While so many of them have been great, nothing was ever truly unique, as it's a very challenging cuisine to modify outside of the norms. I've had some good Iranian food during my 10 years living in NYC, but nothing that really blew me away.. Until this. Very unique and eclectic but still holds all of the traditional elements. I took my dad, who was visiting me for the weekend. He said it was the best Persian food he's had since living in Iran. Never seen him so happy during a meal. I assume everything on the menu that I didn't try is fantastic. But I HIGHLY recommend the ribs, the tahdig, kashke bademjan (eggplant) along with barbari bread (all are musts). From there we tried the ghormeh sabzi, which was the best I've ever had. The koobideh was incredible as well. I can't wait to get back and try the other mains, as i assume those will be killer as well. Cocktails are awesome as well. Can't wait to go back,
Our family had a fabulous, celebratory meal here.
The server welcomed us and suggested for our party of 5 adults we order a number of dishes to share. We ordered: the komaj and barbari breads (I didn't have these but they looked great) which came along with Mushroom Borani (very yummy), Butternut Squash & Feta (we want to try to make something like this at home as it was a warm winter option), Lentil & Herbs with trumpet mushrooms (I love mushrooms so this was a fun treat), Sambuseh (I didn't have but someone said it was their favorite), Kabob Koobideh (we all wished we ordered more), Tahdig (tasty!), Half Chicken Fesenjoon (good though not my favorite), Gheymeh Bademjan (great sauce), tea and desserts! The dishes arrived at the table with an explanation of what they each were and didn't all come at once which was nice as we got a chance to enjoy each individually. The restaurant was busy and not huge - so it was a bit loud though we were all so focused on the food it didn't bother us too much. In sum, all of us greatly appreciated the food and hope to return!
SOOO GOOD!! The food was so fantastic and the restaurant
SOOO GOOD!! The food was so fantastic and the restaurant was very well designed. I also tried one of their non-alcoholic drinks and was extremely pleased. Highly recommend. The service was great as well and was super helpful when it came to my food allergy.
Best persion food experience ever
Wow what an amazing experience, tried so many great persion restaurants worldwide ( one of my favorite cousins) but this restaurant is the best no question asked… service is amazing excellent, presentation is 10/10 and most importantly is the taste which was exceptional… tried so many items in their menu and every item was better than the one before … I loved that they don’t bring you all the items at once but they staged it and I believe the idea behind that is to enjoy every single item by itself.. I’m sure that this place will be in the Michelin star list in no time bravo bravo bravo
Fantastic Iranian Restaurant!
Eyval is a fantastic Iranian restaurant in east Williamsburg. The food is fresh and delicious, especially the dips and breads. The service is friendly and fast, and contacting their team for big group dining or reservation changes was so easy. I’ve been three times now and it never disappoints!

Forget trying to snipe reservations online by waking up early and booking top restaurants at Carbone or Tatiana or Cote or 4Charles. After 2.5 months of booking reservations by setting up alarms, waking up early to sell appointments. It’s very hard to cash out on this app. During cash out, you have to pay $5 fee +3% transactions fee and max payout per day is $150.
Advice to new users:
- do not mass book reservations
- fill bids only
- don’t try to book reservations online, you need connections and call the restaurant
After putting in about 40 hours of work, I’ve made about $750 sale on this platform but gotten paid $0. Take this with a grain of salt.

I’m sorry to hear these negative experiences some of you have experienced. There is definitely a learning curve. The main reason the listings are not selling is that too many new sellers have been listing hundreds if not thousands of reservations for sale. If there are 30 reservations listed for sale at the same restaurant on the same night maybe 2 will sell. That will leave 28 unsold reservations and if you want to sell you would have to be the lowest price listed. The value is gone if you have to drop your price to $10.
Several sellers have offered training but sadly no one seemed interested.
The money you have earned is yours but you just need to keep your numbers up.

I’m sorry to see your numbers so low with 397 unsold and zero sold. You should reach out to whoever sponsored you as a concierge intern. That person should be happy to help you get moving in the right direction. I have sponsored a few people and I always take the time to help them with their sales.

Yeah I did exactly what you just said not to do. Mass booked. Tried different markets. Got black listed on Resy. Found other oddball places people keep looking for but STILL have not made one sale. And it will statistically take me 100% of the next 100 sales to get paid per this new sell-through rule. I used this as a fun little side challenge during my down time at work and if any of the 600+ connections I added ever take off, it might be worth the “claim” Lol but to hear you say after $750 in sales you have yet to see a penny, I wish I had this advice 2 months ago myself before I made the mental commitment 🙄
