Modern Dining in Venice
We had a lovely dinner at Estro and enjoyed their wide selection of natural wines. The course menu selection isn't extensive, but they have something for everyone, including fish if one does not eat meat. The dishes were yummy, and you felt like you were eating in someone's wine cellar or in a wine bar setting. It's very homey. The wait staff was great with making suggestions. It's modern dining in Venice and it was great to experience it.
Not quite up to expectations
Had hoped for something hip and “special”. Dinner was OK, neither bad nor great. Our smoked eggplant pasta dish was served cold (don’t think that was intentional), the asparagus risotto was runny and the poached egg in Parmesan foam didn’t have any noticeable egg in it, but did have broccoli rabe which curdled the cheese and, instead of cutting the savoriness, made the dish bitter. We had two fish dishes (grilled amberjack and fried dory), which were tasty but tiny. The wine was spot on, a good recommendation. At Euro 230 plus tip, this was not expensive (for Venice), nor would I consider it good value given that we did not have desserts, shared three appetizers and had two primi and two secondi piatti plus one medium-priced bottle of wine. The service was also just ok - not unfriendly, but also neither efficient nor anything but perfunctory.

Very nice experience! Orestis at the bar and Dimitra at service were the best! I like the service and also Mitsos was very polite and friendly I suggest this bar to everyone! Ask Orestis for the best cocktails! Love them ❤️

We were on business lunch. we tried to go to starred restaurants in center, all booked, but... better in this way! we did study Michelin guide and did find Estro. to be clear: ambient and location are not top level, but we did appreciate cooking, food and professionalism. I was personally impressed by wine and champagne selection on the wall: RARELY I have seen also in starred.

Professionalism
The place is very good, not only for dinner, but above all. The service was very good, in fact, they made a lot of effort to explain everything to us, and to be sure that we understood them.
Bull's eye
A recommendation from our hotel that turned out to be a hit. The reception was very friendly and fortunately in very good English, which continued throughout the evening and underlined the confident and friendly service. We had the Estro menu, consisting of three courses, where you can choose the individual courses from the menu. There are also a few dishes that are not on the menu but that can also be chosen. We both had completely different dishes so that we could try something from the other plate. There was no course that was disappointing in any way. Rather, we were impressed by the freshness, creativity and intense flavors. Really a great location for a lovely evening. Grazie

Catering in Venice is not easy. The location of the restaurant, the tourist flow, the opening hours, the price: everything is important and can influence. Estro has its own specific character and has decided to set out along a transparent road, sometimes tortuous but certainly impossible to disguise. I found in their dishes technique, quality, desire and ability to amaze and satisfy. Despite my historic vocation for change, I went back two days in a row for lunch: I couldn't help it. The memory of croaker with artichokes has pleasantly haunted me for some time now. Impeccable service, kind and approachable staff, perfect dishes, right quantities and honest prices for the quality offered. One of the best restaurants I've ever eaten in. Simply amazing.

Absolutely modern with a class. Spectacular tastes and such a vibrant young welcoming people working in the restaurant. The red wine I had was the best wine Ive ever tried simply because I told her what I wanted and she nailed 11/10. Definitely worth visiting and going if you are in Venice. I really liked the concept of the menu also. I am a foodie and I always like to eat at the best restaurants whenever I travel so this one here really got me. P.s. i have way more nicer photos but for some reason trip advisor do not recognize them so I can upload.

Cozy and quiet environment, perfect for conversation. Very kind and well-prepared staff also for an international clientele. Wide choice of wines and off-menu dishes in addition to those à la carte.

Definitely experience Venice if you like wine and good food. Lovely service, they recommended us very well. Great cheeses, fresh pasta and good meat (aged cow). Deserves a 10

5-course gourmet menu. Without finesse in terms of flavors and associations. Friendly staff. Table a little tight.
Happened by chance
We arrived by chance and immediately managed to find a well-kept local place, we tasted some welcome entrees, then some first courses such as bigoli with ragù and creamed cod in broth and tiramisu and local biscuits, all good and worth coming back P.s. They made us sit right away...
Lunch
My wife and I visited on a Saturday lunchtime and enjoyed our visit. We had the risotto, fried fish of the day (Mullet) and grilled fish of the day (John Dory), all of which tasted very nice and were very well presented. The restaurant also doubles up as a wine bar, and they have a very wide selection of wines. We sampled a few, and again, they were of good quality. The serving staff were very helpful in explaining the dishes of the day, the various wines, and responding quickly to any requests. All in all a pleasant experience and reasonably priced.

Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!

I was veeeeeerry skeptical that this would work, particularly at a restaurant as hard to get into as Nobu Malibu, and it was perfect! We had lunch outside on the patio and it was fabulous!

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.

It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!

Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

Your bid has been “matched” with a reservation. From the time a reservation has been located, the seller of the reservation must connect with moderator to give transfer information for reservation. If the seller;however, does NOT respond to reservation transfer, then your bid is reprocessed and returns to the first step, which is connecting your request to a reservation.

to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.

Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.

Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
