Great place, food, service & experience but HUGELY expensive
This is a fabulous restaurant there is no doubt. The impressive door welcomes you into a wow space that is busy, atmospheric and smells of serious money. The ambiance, decor, staff are fabulous. The food pretty good, authentic Greek which is lovely, BUT the price?! Oh my goodness, you will need to re-mortgage. We were shocked to find our 2 starters, 1 shared main with sides, wine & 2 cocktails came to £400! So value for money NO, but in every other way a fab experience

We had a wonderful experience here. We did not have a reservation, but they were very gracious and let us in. My husband and I split a fabulous fish; we enjoyed a Greek salad and a few other appetizers as well. Our server was attentive and polite and everything was very delicious. I love the atmosphere here and the decor is beautiful.
Be the first to ReplyTerribly Disappointing
Extremely disappointing. Booked the table hoping to have a good time with great food (considering the prices). The food served was terribly basic. Steak (size smaller than a fist made by an average sized adult woman) and lamb chops (3 pieces) were served with regular chips (menu said "Greek style potatoes). No jus, or garlic butter or any sort of gravy to go with the meats. Complete lack of creativity in the food served or respect for the prices charged from customers. "Seasonal vegetables" were regular steamed florets (4 to be precise) of cauliflower and broccoli. The steamed vegetables ordered were forgotten to be served, this required reminding on more than two occasions on the same evening. Final bill priced at GBP 320 for dinner for two, with one drinking water and the other drinking two glasses of red wine. NEVER to return to this establishment that is nothing more than a scam masked by the façade of quintessential glamorous London city. Diners be warned.
Be the first to ReplyGilt Greek!
Totally tasty and upscale entertaining! As a late evening, walk-by without a reservation, I was immediately sucked in by the splendid, enormous ice mountain of fresh fish viewed trough the window. Once inside, helped by the doorman through a front door heavy enough for a castle portcullis, I was delighted to be seated after only one drink at the bar. It was only when I noticed a “Kalamata Negroni” on the cocktail menu for £18.50, that I realized I had stumbled into a Greek culinary Elysium. My server happily reminisced about his childhood summers in Gythio while advising the fagri was too big, but how about the bream, one of the most popular fish in Greece. Just to have fun, I ordered a St. Pierre. Then looking around, I was delighted at the nouveau clientele, seeing and seen: wannabe fashionistas, one-vessel shipping magnates and lower-level Arab princes complete with entourages, and a couple of schlubs punching way above their weight class. Spectacular! So of course I finished with the £17.50 baklava!
Be the first to ReplyVery posh place
Very good food and good service but just the doorman are a bit rude sometimes when you don’t have a reservation but overall it’s a great place compared to other restaurants around Piccadilly.Definitely I will visit again
Be the first to ReplyGood but overpriced
This restaurant while delicious is obscenely over priced! When it first opened it was normal but now it’s crazy! If only the prices were more normal…
Be the first to ReplyOverly priced and average dinner
A 2 out of 5 is a poor rating based on a mixed experience we will not renew. Milos is fantastically located in St James and the restaurant interior design is good and elegant. The raw tuna and grilled langoustines we had were good, but not memorable. My rating is mainly based on the price lacking of decency: 3 langoustines charged £130 were the cherry on the cake of an overly priced dinner. This is not the quality of a Michelin-star establishment, may it be for the food or the service, pretty hectic, so this place shouldn’t apply inappropriate prices. There are far better alternatives in Central London.

Really lovely seafood at this classy restaurant. Always a popular restaurant and packed. Service was a little patchy at first but then was very attentive. Lovely evening

Not as good as I remember …. Menu doesn’t offer some of the exotic food it offered a couple of years ago. What is disappointing is the unimaginative food and the ridiculous price to still go with it. A Feta Side salad … 26.50 A stack of Aubergine chips with some dressing … over 30 GBP … both as sides. Service was standard and waiters and waitresses seemed lost or unsure. Got my order wrong … asked for Taster menu for 2 (90 each) and they got the wrong taster menu and delivered it for one person. Left feeling disappointed and unsatisfied. Definitely not as good pre-lockdown. Time to find another restaurant i think especially as they are still charging like they are a premium restaurant in London.

Mediocre. Ridiculously over priced and mediocre food. Nothing distinguishes this very average restaurant save its prices.
Be the first to ReplyAlways Amazing
Best Greek restaurant in London. Been there many times and never disappoints. Food is fresh and delicious, big portions. You can go to the "fish market" at the center of the restaurant and pick a fish for yourself. Love it.
The prices are high but that's expected.
Classy.
Ludicrously expensive
My starter of avgotaraho was delicious, but to describe it as tiny would be a bit of an exaggeration. My choice of tuna as main was unavailable (not told of this before ordering). The lamb chops alternative wss fine but nothing special. I had a bottle of their cheapest white wine. This lot came to over £130. Won't be back.
Be the first to ReplyExpensive
To be honest we did not stay to dine at this restaurant.
We found the restaurant online but with no prices on the menu but it had good reviews and how expensive can tzatziki and Greek salad be?
Well the answer to that is a Greek Salad at Milos is £27.50 for a small and £37.00 for a large.
We did not stay . Even if I was a billionaire I would not pay this amount for a salad!!
The restaurant explained that prices are expensive in London, but I am a Londoner and have never been so shocked by the outrageous price of a salad.
How can they can get away with it? I would rather give my money to a worthy charity.
Incredible!
Fantastic service and food. Right from the start we were greeted by a lovely man who opened these incredible huge doors. The atmosphere as you walk in is speechless. The decor is amazing and they have a beautiful fish counter. We were looked after by a few waiters but one really excelled, called Mariano. Made you feel at home and comfortable. His cocktails are to die for too! It was our anniversary and they surprised us with some lovely writing on our dessert. Overall the experience was incredible and would 100% return. See you next time
Be the first to ReplyIt was FINE, not outstanding
I went with my family for my dads birthday, as soon as I arrived I asked reception to organise a cake/dessert thing with a candle for my dad - the receptionist told me it’s all in hand and already organised.
The meals were nice however one member was left without their meal until everyone else had finished theirs, we tried to wait for it to arrive but everything was getting cold. We did speak to the staff about this and they apologised and we got over it.
When we went to order dessert and the bill, they failed to bring out anything for my dad - which was really disappointing.
Expensive but good service
Great fresh fish but 1/2 the menu wasn’t available and the mark up on some items was ridiculous. The wine list is superb if again overpriced. We ended up paying £1500 for a party of four and three bottles of wine. The service is excellent.
Be the first to ReplyMost expensive Greek salad ever!
The only reason why I haven’t given this place 5 stars is because of the prices. I have never given a lower rating because of prices, because generally, when prices are high it is for a reason which is justified. Sadly for this place even though the food is excellent there is absolutely no way on earth their prices are justifiable. 39£ ( just to say that is below 40) for a Greek salad, 41£ for grilled octopus ( which is a cheap seafood ), 14£ for tzatziki alone, nothing is rational. And that is why their prices are no where to be found online, because they probably know that people would run in the opposite direction. Oh and by the way they increase their prices fairly regularly, just like Chanel handbags. When it first opened a few years back the prices were nowhere close to these. is it to make up for lost revenues due to the pandemic??!
Anyways it is however a very nice location, in a very grand building, the service is very good and the food selection is impressive. All their dishes are great especially the fresh fish.
The clientele when we went last weak was mainly middle easterners which is no surprise.
Should you go? Yes, if you don’t mind the prices definitely.
