This place was awesome the rib eye and lobster was perfect.

Be the first to ReplyPlace is a joke.
Smoke and mirrors. Just look at the photos. Unassuming locals ignorant AF not knowing any better. Shrimp overcooked. The seafood cocktail portion for price is okay if it were Rx. The $75 USD ribeye was $35.00 USD at best. Save the money and have 4 to 20 meals any where else in TJ or go to Valle (but avoid Frida).

We were a party of four we ordered some appetizers and drinks to start, everything was good, shrimp and octopus, tiraditos and caprese salad. The tomahawk was perfectly cooked, same as the new york stip. well seasoned and hot! The wine selection is adequate and mixed drinks are good.I do recommend this place for a nice all meat dinner. Its not cheap by any means but I do believe its worth it

Two things that's stand out. It's the most expensive steak house I have ever been to and I believe their steak is choice and not prime. Steak seemed to be hard to cut into. The crab was awesome but I do believe they are playing games with pitching the meat as prime vs choice.

Higher end steakhouse with classic American steakhouse options and the prices to match. Two of us went on a Saturday night around 6 PM. I'm pretty sure we were the only table, but customers continued to pour in until the time we left around 8:30.We had: - Iceberg wedge (delicious)- Chilean seabass (cooked perfectly, ~$40 US) - Tomahawk for 2 (which I ordered rare, but came out closer to medium rare, ~$140 US)They have a decent wine selection. Only two mezcals on the menu, which was a bit disappointing. Decent dessert selection of about 6 options, but the last few bites of the Tomahawk did me in.Between the three dishes we ordered, a few nice tequilas, glasses of wine and digestifs, I managed to drop just under $400 with tip. The service was on point, but like most service in Mexico, borderline overwhelming with waiters hovering around your table to take away your dish as soon as you finish, or before you even finish.

It's an average place, average steaks, appetizers overall too expensive even if it were in the US. I do appreciate the outside deck is pet friendly and for such an expensive place was a nice surprise to have that option. The waiters are very attentive, polite and professional the overall atmosphere is formal just can't recommend because the prices are overinflated for what you get. I've given this place 2x too many chances for me to ever return.
Be the first to ReplyFantastic place.
Deceptive from the outside. Service was above and beyond what we expected. Always attentive but not intrusive. Honestly, all the food was delicious. I have two picky teenagers and they thought it was amazing. We had surf and turf, rib eye, pasta, and sea bass. Drinks were great as well. It was fun to see my son slowly eat the Caesar salad he enjoyed it that much

In the states their was a time when a steakhouse was an experience. Being from Chicago I have been to some of the finest, and must say El Grill has just placed amongst the top I have been around the globe. The service we reviewed from Miguel was nothing short of magical, and the food!!!! I can not begin to express the rich flavors and experience we had. From the Sashimi Bronzino to the 90 day aged ribeye. It was an experience from beginning to end. I can not ever begin to express my appreciation and respect for el Grill! We will be back with clients often!!!

Too expensive for burnt meat!!!! Service is attentive as is the case in Mexico, but for a $100 cut of meat it should not be burnt
Be the first to ReplyI went with important people for me.
I was expecting great service great food. OMG what happen?!?! I went there before Covid it was great. Now sucks!! Food was over cooked I ordered seafood pasta and steak. Service bad. Offered the most expensive wine and server on the floor swing the cloth and walking around. (I understand if it was the street food but here?) not clean. What happen? Owner changed? Or because I went on Sunday? What is going on?
