EDOBOY - standing sushi bar Orlando Reviews from The Last Year
I've been to Edoboy multiple times, and have always been
I've been to Edoboy multiple times, and have always been extremely pleased by the service and food provided by Head Chef Tyler Inthavongsa and Chef Francis Varias. Since there are only 8 available "standing" sections, each chef takes 4 guests to serve and make the appropriate dishes. When you enter, you're given a sheet of paper with the list of items you can mark down with a pencil of the pieces you want to order, with a maximum of 12 pieces. The good: Any of the pieces you order will be phenomenal! If you're still hungry, I highly recommend ordering the Matcha S'more, as it's absolutely delicious. The bad: They do have a limited supply, so if one guest orders, for example, 4 pieces of Madai (Japanese Sea Bream) and you wanted to order just 1 piece of Madai, you will NOT get that 1 piece if they've run out of it. Overall, Edoboy is an amazing sushi spot, and love that they focus on nigiri. I would highly recommend dining here!
I'd heard amazing things about edoboy for about a year or
I'd heard amazing things about edoboy for about a year or so and was extremely excited to try it for my husband and I's anniversary. Let me just start off by saying it did not disappoint one bit, it surpassed my expectations in fact!!! This was my first standing sushi experience and it felt so intimate and personal with the limited eight spots. The staff was so friendly and sweet, they made sure to acknowledge our every need and question and even changed the sign to wish us and another couple happy anni, such a sweet touch!! Every piece of fish prepared by our chef was so fresh yet so flavorful, I honestly never knew raw fish could taste so good!!! Our favorites were the blue crab truffle handroll, the Ebi-kewpie, and the Hotate-kewpie (it was honestly hard to pick because literally everything was amazing!!). We finished with the matcha s'more of course and the name already suggests how delicious it was. The only negative note I'd have to say is either be prepared to order and spend a lot or don't come starving because as you can assume, it's not very filling.
Getting a reservation is hard for days that are close to
Getting a reservation is hard for days that are close to holidays. There is a big parking area so you won't have to worry about finding parking. Great experience with the chef and the server. You get to only choose 12 pieces of sushi max, in which I would recommend looking at the menu ahead of time. Vibes: Very nice to take a friend and and talk to while getting a nice dinner. Food: The quality is definitely one of the best fish in Orlando. It felt like I was having an omakase in New York. I regret not getting more seared sushi since it was my favorite. The Otoro quality was definitely one of the best pieces I had during the dinner. Price: Super reasonable to the amount and quality of fish you get. Overall: I would 100% come back to this place again and would also recommend other people to come check this place out. I recommend choosing the seared selection since that was my favorite. If you love eating tuna, their tuna selection is great.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! Such a unique dining experience and the best sushi! We've been twice and I'm dying to go back again soon!
It's definitely hard to get a reservation so make sure you
It's definitely hard to get a reservation so make sure you dont wait last minute and reserve online on mondays right at 12 so get your ideal time for the week! However, the fish here is QUALITY.love my yellowjacks and the sweet shrimp are sooo so yummy! It is standing seat only so just keep that in mind!
Everything was super fresh and yummy, I thought I wouldn't
Everything was super fresh and yummy, I thought I wouldn't get full off of 12-pieces but it left me satisfied. It reminds me of omakase but you have the option of picking what you want instead of chef's choice. I didn't get a picture of the spicy salmon hand roll but that was my favorite thing on the menu - all their nigiri is delicious too, you really can't go wrong with anything that you get. The only thing that I didn't care too much for was their miso soup lol but this is def a place that I think everyone should try at least once. They also offer sets if you don't want to pick 12 individual pieces, which looked great too. It may not seem like much on the outside but their sushi is delicious and it's a very intimate setting since you're standing with only 7 other people. Can't say enough great things! Just try it for yourself.
Next level sushi.
Our favorites were all of the pieces that were torched with uni butter. Hand rolls were excellent. Had the matcha s'more. Jones a great experience all around. Going back for hubby's birthday.
What an experience !!!! this is a 10 out of 10 restaurant.
Absolutely incredible fresh unbelievable sushi, two chefs, eight people, all standing. First, you have to get your reservation, and they release every Monday at noon for the next week. then after you arrive, you're allowed to pick one of the preset menus or up to 12 pieces. it's about an hour experience and you stand the whole time. The chef in front of you will prepare all 12 of your pieces fresh in front of you and describe each one. every single course was perfect with Unbelievable flavor. Chef Tyler was extremely nice and told us where all the fish came from lots of details and history about what we were eating and it really enhanced the experience. you absolutely have to end the night with the miso soup as well as the Matcha s'mores. some of our favorites included the torched preparations as well as the hand rolls (crab). they have a variety of drinks, including sake and beer and the cloudy, sweet sake is my favorite! this restaurant is a sister restaurant of Tori Tori across the street. Can't wait to go back!
My husband and I are big foodies, so when I say this,
My husband and I are big foodies, so when I say this, please take it seriously, this might be our favorite restaurant in all of Orlando! Edoboy is such a delicious and intimate experience. We love the fresh fish and interacting with the chef. It is a nice dinner, but you won't break the bank. Whenever we have friends in town, who love sushi, we take them here and everyone has left super impressed! My must-haves are the Toro (fatty tuna) and the Hamachi (Japanese yellowtail).
Edoboy might be my new favorite restaurant.
Like ever. You absolutely have to try it at least once! The food is incredible, the staff is so welcoming, and the concept is so special. Reservations drop every Monday at noon for the upcoming week's reservations and you need to be quick to get one! There are only 8 seats available for each hour time slot (you have one hour to order and eat!). Parking is plentiful in a large lot next to the restaurant so no stress there! I recommend arriving 10-15 minutes before your reservation just to make sure everything is squared away. You'll wait outside the building and will be greeted by the hostess Kristine. When you get inside, you can get drinks and start marking down the pieces of sushi you want on the piece of paper (maximum of 12 pieces!). I recommend checking out the menu online beforehand to help speed up the process and make it easier on yourself. There are two sushi chefs, each serving four people, which feels so intimate and personal. We had Francis and he was awesome! So detail oriented, soft spoken, and knowledgeable. We also got to chatting and he was super personable. Onto the food! Seriously, every piece was so perfectly curated and executed, and every flavor worked perfectly together. My sister LOVED the Madai (Japanese Sea Bream) ($5) with sea salt and lemon zest. So light and refreshing! The Toro (Bluefin Fatty Tuna) ($8) was one of my favorites - it legitimately melted in my mouth. Other highlights included the Hamachi (Japanese Yellowtail) ($4.50), Aka Ebi (Sweet Red Prawn) ($5.50), Akami Kabayaki ($5.50), and Sake-Kewpie ($5). But you will not be disappointed with anything! For the hand rolls, my sister loved the Dynamite ($7.50) because it was packed with different kinds of fish. I loved the Spicy Tuna hand roll ($8) and the spice level was absolutely perfect! Oh, and you HAVE to get the Miso Soup ($3.50) at the end of your meal. It's made with the fish bones of the day and is incredible. You slurp it up straight from the bowl and will enjoy every drop! The S'mores dessert ($4) is usually Matcha, but had a Cherry Blossom Marshmallow this time that was super yummy! Even though the whole experience only lasts an hour, I really didn't feel rushed at all until it got to the very end and the next group started showing up. And the 12 pieces of sushi + miso soup filled me up! Worst case, you can walk over to Tori Tori (owned by the same people as Edoboy) right across the street to grab tapas if you're still a bit hungry, or if you want a drink like we did! Overall, long review, but I absolutely recommend Edoboy to any sushi lovers or those wanting to try it out in the best way possible!
Edoboy has to be my favorite restaurant in Orlando.
I can't sing their praises enough. When it comes to quality, price point, and experience I feel they cannot be beat. Last night I tried the Baller Set which is all highlighted in the photos. This was my first time trying it and it changed up my usual order and had a unique twist on the meal. The salmon miso soup with rice in it really stood out from a classic miso soup as well as the shrimp and eggs since usually my favorite at Edoboy is the torched prawns. Having only one hour the chefs are quick and efficient and the pace moves quickly but I do feel ample time between bites. The hosts are wonderful and we have brought so many friends from out of town who all have loved the experience. There is also a drink fridge with sodas, sakes, waters and other beverages. With only 8 spots it doesn't feel over crowded and is really fun when you book it for your whole group. We are regulars and can't wait to be back!
I can honestly say this is one of my Top 5 restaurant
I can honestly say this is one of my Top 5 restaurant experience I've ever had. Go for the BALLER as it is simply amazing in every way. I hate miso soup but theirs is absolutely amazing. The service was second to none. The place is small but exactly what it needs. This place leaves you saying WOW about every bite.
My friend was able to snag reservations for this place, and
My friend was able to snag reservations for this place, and I was so excited to go. At first, I was super concerned about having to stand for the whole hour, but it really was not bad at all. It was actually a really fun experience and the food was so good! I had such a fun time trying so much of their food. Everything is made fresh right in front of you and served on leaves. Wear your stretchy pants because your eyes will be bigger than your stomach and also everything sounds delicious so you will want to order everything off the menu. We LOVED everything we had and would do it again in a heart beat. The ambiance is super trendy and kinda edgy. There's warm lighting but it's mainly black and white in there.
Standing while eating sushi is elite.

Thank you for the question, if a seller is working on answering your bid, you cannot cancel it until their time is up and the bid is released back to you. The full amount of funds then go back into your AT account. Typically a seller has 48-72 hours to complete the bid.
