Was very excited to try this place out today.
Complete disappointment. Family of three and paid for the tasting menu - with truffles. Food was BLAND. Bread was plentiful. Truffles were non existent! Had to call the waitress over to let her know our food was coming out without the truffles and she brought the manager over who apologized and credited our bill to remove the extra price/person they charge for truffles. Said he would bring out the last course with truffles. Fine. Last course came out - bistek with potatos - up until this point we got two plates of each item on the tasting menu - this course - only one plate. Odd we thought - and very displeased. Waitress shrugged her shoulders. Truffles by the way were TASTELESS. We reluctantly orderd dessert - might as well - ricotta donuts with capuccinno - was ok - you can taste the oil it was fried in and left a bad aftertaste. Overall a very disapointing experience. Could not believe the poor service (waitress was great) but oversight in kitchen sucks and food was simply bland. Not worth it and not going back.

We were really looking forward to eating here for many years and I was quite disappointed by the taste and quality of the food. We had the $26 2-course meal special and so my friend and I decided to have that we ordered the salad Bruschetta and the pancetta pasta along with the burrata pizza to be honest it all really lacked flavor and just did not live up to the expectations that we thought.

Gelato and shopping experience is 4 stars. The second and third floor are an amazing shopping experience providing lots of fresh and organic options. I personally really enjoy purchasing the handmade fettuccine pasta that I take home to cook. Along with the lime pasta sauce. However, today was my first experience in the restaurant TERRA. It first felt tightly congested since the table next to us ( a couple having an anniversary) we're very close in range. The music playing would play non stop over and over for the longest. It was not a pleasant environment to say the least. Then the food itself was not anything special. I got the squid along with the spinach ravioli with peas. Both were okay. I would have priced it around $20 not the $100 it was. Price kills it. The quality of the food is good since everything is fresh, I think the recipes are just not the best put together for my palate. If you're looking for something simple this is good, if you don't mind the price. For me it was overrated. And overpriced

Eataly: Great Market, Wine Cellar, Skip the Restaurants! Eataly is a cool concept - a giant Italian marketplace with restaurants, groceries, and even cooking classes. Overall, it's a mixed bag. The Good: Market: This is the star of the show. Amazing selection of Italian wines, cured meats, cheeses, pastas, and pretty much anything else you could want to cook a delicious Italian meal. Definitely worth a visit for foodies! Ambiance: The restaurants all have a nice atmosphere - feels upscale and modern. The Meh: Food: It wasn't bad, but nothing special. The portions are a bit on the small side, and the prices felt a bit steep for what you get. Value: You're paying a premium for the Eataly experience. If you're on a tight budget, this might not be the best spot. Overall: Skip the restaurants if you're looking for the best bang for your buck, but definitely check out the amazing market. For groceries and browsing, Eataly is a fun destination.

They have a large selection of pizza by the slice; I don't know what type of pizza it is, but it's not Neapolitan. It's very doughy and didn't have a good ratio of toppings to dough. It all looks very appetizing but was for the most part underwhelming. You pick which pizza you want, they heat it up and give it to you in to-go containers with plastic utensils. You cannot cut this pizza with platic utensils and I'm a use my hands type of gal when it comes to pizza so not an issue for me. The pizza wasn't bubbling hot and toasty either. I also felt that there was an abundance of dispoable packaging. A small plate would have been nice. The ambiance on this level is lacking so it's best for a quick bite. I didn't try any of the desserts but was put off by the pizza and lack of ambiance that I wasn't motivated to go further. The third level, Terra, is very nice but I didn't eat there.
Be the first to ReplyVery small servings.
$29 for simple pasta dish. $9 for 4 slices of bread. Arrive at 5:10 and seated at 5:20. I was told must be out by 6:00.
Be the first to ReplyNot impressed with the whole store.
A little pricey but the focaccia is good Rude older man at the cashier. He asked pay cash I said no and he directed me to cashier where there is none . I met a nice young man and he directed me to self service cash I I have better service at other Italian restaurants. Will never go back again

I can said is Spectacular!!, 3 floors, you can find anything you think about Italian food, drinks and desserts . Beautiful and well decorated. Well designed. Impressive place to visit, buy and eat have 4 restaurants high-quality, authentic Italian cuisine. There's an elevator but is very small and scary goes down very slow, so don't get scare, it works correctly hahaha.

Made a reservation over a week ago and was left waiting for 30 minutes+ just to be seated. What's the point of a reservation if it's not honored and we aren't seated immediately. After returning to the main hostess, she kept giving the same excuses. Never returning again.

Absolutely delicious! If you are a big seafood pasta lover I definitely recommend the linguine ai frutti di mare. Tip: if you like spicy definitely ask for some chili flakes on the side. We had two pizzas for starters. Typically I would never consider a pizza for a starter, but we had a big group and the pizza crust was so light that it ended up being a great choice. Our groups favorite was the burrata e pesto! Also the location is great, you're able to explore the market place while you wait and find a lot of cool Italian staples. Our server was very sweet and ended up helping us pick out some wine pairings.

I decided to give this place a shot with my wife because we heard so much about it. I honestly think that the overall rating does not reflect how excellent this place is.First off, our waiter, James, was EXCELLENT. From his witty humor to how well he knows the menu, 5 star server. James brings a very unique style to his service in his humor, he is very attentive, quick on his feet, and knowledgeable -- all around stellar energy. I tend to believe that when it comes to service, having someone that is well equipped in knowledge and personality is key -- James had both and went above and beyond for us.Second, the food. We started of with the lamb skewers. These were excellent and I love the fact that we could taste the oak that it was burned on. The Gnocchi, which is what I ordered was excellent, and my wife enjoyed a Pomodoro, which she also loved. Finally, I wanted to shoutout their sommelier, Graham for his wine recommendations. We ended up buying a bottle that was from Tuscany, although I cannot quite remember the name. All in all, this team was excellent, from our server, James, to the bussers and runners, and Graham -- 5 stars all around. Great Job!
Be the first to Replystand by my review as it's objective.
if the people at yelp cannot intelligently state where i violated their rules, then they dont even understand it themselves. My wife took me to this restaurant today and we were served by one of the laziest server I've ever met. Waiter's name is James... sadly same name. The unfortunate part is that this place also had problems with quality of food. This restaurant is the epitome of "I want to compete with the big boys, but I don't know how to make food like the big boys." The entire menu has some convoluted way of saying what the actual meal is.The Appetizer was some crusty bread with cheese and tomato, pretty simple, but the failure here is that it's all mushy and crust was just on the outside. The presentation for the appetizer was lacking and the taste was ok. Cheese was excellent but the tomato and the bread were subpar. The main course we had were spaghetti and a bone-in-ribeye.This ribeye was suppose to be cooked rare, but probably a bit of it came out raw. A lot of connective tissue was on it as well. It wasn't a good steak in terms of quality. The potatoes that came out were hard as chips. Unsure how anyone can mess up a single potato, smash it into rando pieces and fry it.The spaghetti was bland, the noodles were excellent, but sauce lacked any type of boldness that spaghetti should have. We were not expecting meatsauce, but the blend of flavors felt as though they were mushed together. Our server was lazy to be honest. He came over, had some half arse way of speaking to use, NEVER checked in on us and never even helped us refill drinks. He'll treat different tables differently in terms of service. Always scarcely found and looked pretty entitled. The only thing he asked is if the food was good -- I didn't tell him it was good, but he didn't care. The ONLY reason why this place deserved 2 stars is that the dessert was excellent. The Tiramisu, had some issues - being frozen in the middle, but was good. The gelato was also great. Mix of ingredients really complemented the gelato. Don't come here to eat anything as a meal, you'll regret it. The service, main course, appetizer were completely horrible. The only thing that was the highlight was the dessert.I honestly hope that this place gets rid of that server... he pretty much ruined our afternoon by dragging his feet and not serving. Every table had inconsistent food arrival times because of him. We sat for 3 hours where we could have not wasted our afternoon waiting for him. Really just ruined our afternoon.I would not come back to this place.TLDR:- mediocre food, there's better for cheaper downstairs- insanely crappy service from this single server (the rest of the servers may have been better than him -- other waitresses were taking orders for his table because he "vanished")- dessert was insanely good for this place -- completely unexpected.
Be the first to ReplyExcellent addition to the valley Fair renovation.
Three floors of groceries deli and restaurants. Long wait at the restaurant unless you have a prior resolution. I checked out the outdoor seating area and it looks really good. Ended up eating at the deli. Pizza and salads are good. Particularly like their organic dough. Definitely four stars for ambience and quality of food. It's really very pricey though and so I am tempted to knock the rating back to a three.

I am encouraged by the response I have received from Eately to my review where I complained about their service. It tells me that they are sincere and wish to offer good service and perhaps my experience was a one-off. They communicated with me immediately and I plan to go again since, as I said in my review, the food was very good. Hopefully, the service too will be good. Thank you, Eately, for taking customer feedback seriously and trying to learn from the feedback. Much appreciated.

My fiancรฉ and I have eaten here a couple of times now and I really enjoyed it. The first time we went for lunch and sat at the bar the server was very kind. This last time we went was for my fiancรฉ's birthday dinner. The food was delicious again it was very busy so it definitely got a little loud and was a bit difficult to find our waiter to pay the bill at the end but our meal was delicious. From the complimentary bread to the Terra dessert it was a delicious meal. I ordered a MoleCola for my drink which in my opinion is better than regular Coca-Cola. Then we shared their mushroom skewered appetizer which I was obsessed with. For my main meal I had their seasonal ravioli. Lastly for dessert we had their Terra which I will 100% be ordering again.

I had to mark in the next section that the restaurant was innovative, vegetarian, friendly, and dog friendly, because it would not let me post this without stating those things I don't believe any of those things this restaurant is terrible . The portions were unbelievably small, there was sand in my salad, the pasta was dry, and these were not Necessarily the worst part. All of the staff I encountered appeared to be engaged, kind, and motivated to do a good job. The noise level was horrendous, deafening. and not conducive relax conversation over a meal. I've had better experience having a conversation at the three year old's birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese, I think at every experience I've had at Chuck E. Cheese the dining area had been more quiet in the dining area was at Eataly. Some of the conditions were extremely unsanitary. There was a 2' x 4' long trolley of desserts that were uncovered and rolled through the dining area and left unattended several times during my visit. The thought of anybody eating those pastry petri dishes made me nauseated. What looked like ?Dishwashing? staff walked through the dining area with bins of what I'm hoping we're cleaned skillets however, none of them looked very clean.Having to bring kitchen, equipment, and tools through the dining space is definitely a lack of good planning.I did not observe, Other diners commenting on exceptionality of their orders.I'm just sad I could not give this less than a one star rating
Be the first to ReplyApparently yelp and this place has some kickback so reviews
Apparently yelp and this place has some kickback so reviews are skewed. Servers here are awful and also yelp doesn't know what an honest review is. This place deserves a 1 star for their awful service and just bad representation of what real italian food is. The establishment tries to be high end but really what it boils down to is that they cannot and will not admit to having badly trained servers. i also had a full extensive review of food quality and behavior but they( yelp) decided to silence my thoughts by removing and then threatening to ban my account.i stand by my review as it's objective. if the people at yelp cannot intelligently state where i violated their rules, then they dont even understand it themselves. My wife took me to this restaurant today and we were served by one of the laziest server I've ever met. JUst had the Quattro Formaggi, teh Salumiere, a salad and caffe latte. the pizzas were charred on the bottom, not a good taste. The $18 salad tasted like a $2 bland, unimaginative salad. Manuel our server, was the saving grace. His professionalism, demeanor and caring for our party was superb. I personally complimented him to the manage, Lauren Chames. We were seated next to the kitchen. Nearby a group of servers congregate and chat. One male serverer patted a female server on the bottom. I relayed this to the manager as well. I said that this is not a good look for the restaurant for servers to be idle and chatting. When I called for assistance, it was impossible to get their attention as they all faced towards the center of their inner circle. Must be a seance or a ritual. EATALY is too much HYPE for too little quality. Won't be visiting the restaurant! Latte was divine. I had announced that we had a birthday guest, Manuel brought a small dish of confections with a lit candle. He had his group sing happy birthday. A sweet touch. They need a cadre of Manuels. The pizzas were underwhelming, like burnt toast.
Be the first to ReplyThe food was good but the service was lacking.
Wonder if three strikes & your out applies to Italian restaurants? They served my wife gin without the tonic!!! About 10 mins later, a person came with a bottle of tonic and said who gave you that gin because he/she messed up and did not get you the tonic! We thought we were suddenly cast into a comedy. They did not have Tiramisu even though it was being sold downstairs. Lastly, we asked for pepper flakes and that too took two requests before it showed up. The bill was presented without so much as a I am sorry. On top of that it had the usual 18% or 20% or 22% gratuity options. I got the feeling they think they are too cool to be serving people!! On the plus side they have vegetarian and gluten free options. We were there during the week when they offered a 2 course dinner for $22 and a few wines at $10 per glass. Their normal prices are too high, IMO.
