Dia Deka is a culinary haven nestled in the heart of our city, and my recent dining experience there left me utterly captivated. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was enveloped in an ambiance that perfectly balanced elegance with warmth, setting the stage for an unforgettable meal. Let's start with the stars of the show - the beef steak and lobster pasta. Each bite of the beef steak was a symphony of flavors, perfectly cooked to my desired level of doneness, and infused with rich, savory notes that danced on my palate. The lobster pasta, on the other hand, was a celebration of indulgence, with succulent lobster pieces adorning al dente pasta strands bathed in a decadent sauce that left me longing for more. These dishes truly exemplify culinary craftsmanship at its finest, and I cannot recommend them highly enough. However, no dining experience is without its imperfections, and in this case, it was the octopus leg that fell slightly short of expectations. While the flavors were commendable, the texture of the octopus was unfortunately overcooked, resulting in a slightly rubbery consistency that detracted from an otherwise stellar dish. This is a classy, pricey restaurant inside the Los Gatos Hotel. The ambience is classy rustic and the service is excellent. We ordered: octopus, spinakopita Ribeye steak Truffle fries, mushrooms Beignets The pear sidecar cocktail was delicious: well balanced and just a great sipper and complement to the food. Everything was delicious. It's a pricey place, but the service and food are excellent so would definitely come back for a special occasion.

We used to come to Dio Deka 15-16 years ago, and it was quite good. But after we moved away from the area, we found other places. In the last year or so we've been hearing great things about the food from friends who live in the Los Gatos / Saratoga area, but dismissed them as exaggeration. And then, a couple of days ago, I found out that Chef Nikos Moulinos had moved to Dio Deka a couple of years ago. The next day we were there. And, oh boy, was it good. Every dish we had was outstanding: the moussaka with duck meat (who other than Chef Nikos would have thought to combine two of my favorite tastes?), the lobster pasta, the octopus, the thalassomezes (seafood sampler), the spanakopita, everything was mouthwatering. And the desserts? Forget about it: the loukoumades (donut beignets drenched in Greek honey), the ekmek (kataifi with an amazing cream topping), and the sokolatina (chocolate cheesecake) are all in my Top 10 all-time dessert list. My only regret: That I didn't know about Chef Nikos being there earlier; I missed a couple of years of enjoying this wonderful food. And last, but not least, I should add that our dinner was made even better by the excellent service we received from everyone, but especially Darrin, who took great care of us at our table, and Sakis, who made us feel very welcome as we came in. All in all, a wonderful experience worth the long drive.

I would just say I did notice the indoor service is better than outdoor service but not worthy of deducting from my 5 star experience. Terrific for special occassion to side inside. I would consider another visit here. Thank you so much.

Absolutely most wonderful restaurant! Great food, the best service and very nice atmosphere. I've never had a bad meal there. It's a special place for my family and I. We love the lamb chops, but you can't go wrong with anything there!

In short, another very overrated, very expensive restaurant. It is a reoccurring theme as I have become a very picky chef. My pet peeves are over cooked food and seasoning that drowns out the flavor of the course. The restaurant had all of that. This restaurant confirms to me once again that I can do better in my own kitchen putting out a superb meal. I tasted both the lamb shank and pork chop. Food was over salted which is a chef's rookie error. Side of vegetables was saturated in a thyme mixture drowning out the flavor of the carrots which were also over cooked. Good wine list Libations from the bar were excellent Service was excellent. I don't mind paying high prices for excellent food and service, but this was probably the biggest disappointment of the year in my restaurant experience.

The food was subpar for the price point. I had the lamb shank and my father had the salmon. I tried his salmon and it was terrible. It tasted extremely fishy and bland. The lamb shank was good but not great. We also ordered the three Greek spreads with pita, which was good and the Spanish octopus was decent. Service was good, although I felt like we had to prompt the server to order and they were constantly flitting around. The baklava was not great--I couldn't finish it. I wouldn't recommend this restaurant and I won't be returning. Steer clear unless you're looking for overpriced, subpar fare.

My 12 year old son ordered off menu- plain burger and fettucine with butter. We had the on-menu truffle fries on the side. The burger was substantial and absolutely delicious. I've never had better truffle fries! (Oh yes, this means I tried his burger and fries:))

This is the type of restaurant do you want to go to if you want to enjoy beautiful ambience, great service and amazing food. Come here willing to spend a few hours so that you can really enjoy the wine the food and the company. We tried lots of different appetizers, and all of the entrées that we ordered was delicious. Our server was amazing and the wine was wonderful. This literally nothing bad I can say about this place it's Definitely a place that I will be visiting again with friends and family

WOW-talk about well-deserved, palatable Michelin star! tldr; Steep prices but unbeatable food. Special occasions or dates, Dio Deka wins on service and food. Ambience is great but lighting is dim heh. We came here for our anniversary and absolutely loved it. It's hard to feel good about indulging at the hefty price points but it was 100% WORTH IT. The service from hostesses and waiters are hard to match. The atmosphere is always bubbly and has a very nice ambience here. Warning though for anyone who may be light-impaired: the lighting is pretty dim and we saw many people pull out their phone flashlights to read the menus. THE FOOD: The Branzino fish is easily one of the more affordable, yet delicious items. It has a flaky skin with super soft meat and is plated nicely with some veggies. The Okatpodi is a grilled leg of octopus that (despite not usually being a fan of octo/squid), I enjoyed. The outside has a nice crust put on it but the inside meat is cooked to just the right texture of chewy melded with soft. Flavor is all there, try it! Lamb Chops! I was hesitant when I saw the $84 price point for 3 chops, but I caved considering the special occasion. I got mine medium rare but would swap for medium next time (I like steaks close to rare for context). Lamb flavor was amazing and not overpowering, the meat melts in your mouth once you manage to carve it up. Would get again, but medium! Beignets (Loukamathes)These are huge beignet donuts covered in a bath of honey and sprinkled with some nuts. Any beignet lover will find these awesome, but my SO wasn't as much a fan haha. They treat anniversaries very nicely and make it a great experience, bonus points for the decorations on our beignet plate! (See pic). Palette cleansers (hibiscus + lime shots!) and complimentary snacks were given at times.

Quality of service here was excellent! All of the staff was very attentive and friendly. The food was excellent. I had the moussaka (with pekin duck) and my wife had the branzino, along with loukoumades for dessert. They were all delicious.

This place is beyond phenomenal!!! We had our company dinner here and Jeremy was our waiter and he was PERFECT! We must have ordered every appetizer, and dessert. I had the Ribeye which was cooked to perfection I forgot to ask how it was done so well with this delicious after taste I can pin point what it was! But definitely get into this place! You'll stay! Thanks again Jeremy we had a great time!

From my cocktails to my appetizers into my main dinner. The food is not only Fantastic, but also impeccable.Great wine list. Every time I'm in the area this Greek restaurant is a must. Shout out to the bartender Ruben excellent mixologist and staff team for making a great experience every time. Highly recommend for any occasion.

Had the octopus, and keftedes apps which were so good we could have just eaten those all night! The keftedes really should have a side of bread to accompany to soak up the lovely sauce. We also ordered the lamb chops and branzino fish along with two deserts, cocktails, waters and bottle of wine. Entrees were incredible. The bramble cocktail was good but the portion of perhaps 2 ounces for the price was not worth it. Lastly no acknowledgement of our special occasion, the reason we chose this restaurant in the first place. Dinner was $500 with tip for two,. A bit pricey but the drinks were 40% of the bill.

Wine was good!Starting with salad it was ordered without croutons and without dressing.Salad came with croutons and dressing...who dropped the ball we do not know. Our server replaced the salad, but we were waiting...Entries-ordered branzino and requested replace potatoes with veggies.You are correct - an order came with potatoes. Again an order was replaced, but it took time and we cannot start eating.Second order - two lamb chops. Meat was not seasoned. For the price paid you would expect perfectly seasoned meat. One chop was okay, second undercooked.Sent lamb chop back to kitchen, got a replacement...and it was undercooked again. Gave up and will not go back.Maybe food was great years ago, not anymore. Go some place else.

It is nice to have a restaurant that maintains its quality over time, as Dio Deka has. There have been some changes to the menu, but the quality remains top notch. A personal favorite is what they now call Branzino, a Mediterranean sea bass. They cook it to perfection! We also love the grilled octopus, and of course the spreads.Dio Deka is a bit pricey, but worth every penny.

Great food to complement the great company I had tonight ! We sat by the window with a view; noise level low on a Friday dinner crowd. The scallops appetizer and my Japanese Kiss drink is the the best. My friend loved her Branzino and pork chop dish:). Alicia our server was attentive, friendly and helpful. All in all, I give tonight's Dio Deka experience a 4- star rating because the beignets were too firm for my taste and the eggplant at the bottom of my moussaka was too chewy. Overall, our experience was great and highly recommend this place for a great dining experience.
