Not usually crowded but still some people.
Quite slow and decently clean. Get things done but not the best or most effective Citibank

If you can avoid using CITIbank, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. Their (888) Customer Service (oxymoron) representatives will provide you with a different answer every time you call with the same question. You'll get an apology once you are finished with explaining the issue, but then at the end of their apology, generally, it's that "I misunderstood their representative." They do, however, provide excellent lip service with no follow up. Recently, I had an issue with my autopay date. I changed the date and paid the account in full. I was told my card would not be released for use until May 25. . . and today is May 17! With today's technology, waiting 8 days is unacceptable. Go to another provider who understand customer service. It certainly is not CITI bank.
Be the first to ReplyReally useless service here.
I needed a form filled out regarding my CITI bank accounts (how much money i got, how how long my account has been active, etc) and the staff just brushed me off saying they dont fill that out, i would need to go to some other branch. I told them I've done it before, every year actually, and she just sighed and said "fine". After that sigh i just took my form and walked to the Canal st branch where they did it no questions asked.People at this branch dont like doing their work, they just like to stand around. If you can, walk a few blocks to the Canal branch.

Someone apparently set up a credit card account at Citibank under my name. (First off, more than ever now I've had to give my social security number to countless places, doctor visit to a foot doctor because of callous feet? Doctor visits didn't always need your number, now they do, always. Renting a 50 dollar tool? Same thing.) So I go online and also try to call Citibank to fix this. Hilarious prank. Great torture. Something similar happened to me before the year 2000 and I just called, waited on hold for 2 minutes and cancelled it. Not now. You can't even chat with anyone unless you have an account and a credit card number, which I of course didn't have. So the process of me fixing this was calling numerous numbers for hours and talking to robots that couldn't help me. Then when I finally get someone, and yes they do help, kind of, but can't finish resolving it until the next day because the place they need to resolve it with isn't open. But instead of them finishing their job and calling tomorrow when they're open, I have to wait on hold forever and call back tomorrow myself. When I asked why they can't just call tomorrow, instead of me going through all of this agin, they couldn't give me an answer, or at least a logical one. They aren't open now..." Right but can you make a note to have someone call tomorrow? "We can't do that sir." Why? "That's not how it works..." It's not how it works? So you finishing your task is now my responsibility? Citibank, great idea. Why don't you require people to sign up for accounts in person always? Then if someone does this you have and know your criminal?
Be the first to ReplyThis branch makes me feel that the $ in the account doesn't
This branch makes me feel that the $ in the account doesn't belong to me. I understand there are security precautions, but some of the information they say and ask is just ridiculous.
Be the first to ReplyCitibank has been my bank for 23 years.
Citibank has outsourced technical support to the Philippines.Citibank is now providing third world technical support to save a buckwhile taking jobs away from world class first rate American support engineers who provide superior service.I spent 2 hours between Citibank customer support and Citibank technical support and they were not able to uncheck the boxes.Phone conversations and online chat occurred today during normal business hours on a wednesday 01-13-2021from 1 PM to 3 PM California time.Technical support hangup on me multiple times.

Constantly freezing and asking me to sign on again later. Can't get any tech support. The CHAT feature is of no help. Frequently, I have to go to the physical branch location to get my account straightened out or make my transaction. The whole point of online banking is to save time and not have to go into a branch. If this website problem continues, I will switch to their competitor, Chase bank, which is right next door to this Citibank location.
Be the first to ReplyI just finished speaking to a supervisor at Citibank
I just finished speaking to a supervisor at Citibank because they sent me an offer where I would get 65,000 airline miles if I spent $4000 within four months and it's three months in and they're telling me now that because I had this card two years ago that I don't qualify for the offer anymore. They're telling me I should've read the fine print which I certainly didn't see and probably required a microscope to find! I told them that they shouldn't be sending out promotional material to customers and then have them accept the offer and get a credit card and spend $3000 and then tell them that they're not getting the promotion that was offered. Very annoying!
Be the first to Replythe worst banking service ever.
i am talking about the company itself not the location. fuck you citibank!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
Be the first to ReplyCitibank is awful.
There is not much more one need say. They lie about getting back to you. The could not care less and act like they do the entire time -- you know what I mean. They will freeze your account and not let you have access to it. They will hit you for a service charge while they have frozen the account even if you have provided to them all the information that they requested. If you are smart, go somewhere else before you have already spent to much time setting up online accounts, etc. Run away from Citibank as fast as you can.
Be the first to ReplyEmployees are nice and helpful and very efficient.
Need to order checks and customer rep. was helpful to do this for me. Also told me about the special promotions. The best Citibank in lower Manhattan.
Be the first to ReplyThis is with regards to Citibank's Consumer Business
This is with regards to Citibank's Consumer Business services. The level of service, technology and customer followup is poor, at best. The business portal is clunky to use and requires one to carry a SecureID token at all times to access your account. Impossible to see real-time activity (such as confirming if an incoming wire was received), so one must wait until the next business day to confirm receipt of funds. The kicker is their KYC refresh process every three years. I've requested the list of documents they need 6 times, with each representative promising to email me the list and they were never received. I decided to be proactive, after Citibank's ominous letter that they would cancel my account immediately if they didn't receive those documents, and went to a branch and 49th and Lex. Personally handed the info to the personal banker, signed every form, confirmed with him and their 800 number that they had everything they needed, just to receive another threatening letter today that they are closing my account for not providing the info that I personally handed to the employee.Citibank is pretty good for my personal account, but for business accounts you should really go to Chase.
