This place doesn't deserve a star: This is a con and should not operate that serves foodMy reasonsAmbience:1) Smelly place2) Extremely filthy restroom, piss all over on the floor.Food1) Pathetic food: Chewy kebabs! Supposed to be soft2) Chhole was watery; cleary was not cooked at all. You could tell they added boiling water to the chickpeas, added spices and served it raw. Conveniently forgot to add salt! I paid and left, didnt eat more than one spoon. The manager said OK you didnt like the food. (basically saying he has a successful con game going on and he doesnt care)DISGUSTING!

A lot of tables in an open space, which is good for large groups. However, I was in a party of 2. Service was a slower than expected. There was an appetizer that was really tasty - some really thin chips and three sauces to dip it in.I ordered the chicken tikka masala, paneer cheese naan, and the peas rice (I was surprised that we had to pay extra for the rice). The flavor of the tikka masala was lacking in depth and spice. The naan was really soft and had a lot of bits of paneer in it and had a really great flavor overall. Prices were as expected for Indian food and portions were perfect.
Be the first to ReplyA good Indian food spot near Madison Square Park.
Food is tasty and very filling. We walked feeling so full. We ordered samosas, Chicken Tikka Masala, Rogan Josh, Mango Lassi, Lychee Martini, and Paratha. The dishes are all pretty good. The sauce for both our main dishes are amazing, but the meat is a bit dry. The paratha here is good as well! The service is mediocre, the server spilled some of the lychee martini when placing down the cocktail. Although not a lot got on clothes, it still ruins a bit of the dining experience.
Be the first to ReplyA great spot to find delicious and affordable Indian food.
I have to commend the waitstaff for their kindness and patience in dealing with our very large party! The food and drinks were tasty and very flavorful. We all left full and satisfied!
Be the first to ReplyTasty food - Dal , Naan and Roti were excellent.
Was traveling to NYC and craving Indian food - glad they were available on delivery till 1 Am. Loved the food

Really enjoyed this restaurant - great authentic Indian food with a wide selection and kind of wait staff. They actually discouraged us from ordering too much food which I appreciated. Would highly recommend the buttered chicken dish. Ambiance was incredibly casual

We had a group of 10+ people, which the restaurant was able to accommodate very easily. Our group consisted of meat eaters, vegetarians and vegans. This menu had options for everyone, including a separate vegan section on the menu. We ordered almost a dozen starters for the table. Everything was absolutely delicious and piping hot. The hidden gems are the fried okra - never had bhindi like this before! Tastes almost like a salty chip with a very thin pokhara like exterior. Speaking of, the onion pokhara itself was really flavorful and the lamb chapli kebabs were cooked perfectly. The consensus from the table - appetizers were the stars while the entrees were more on the standard or average end. I would go back again, mostly sticking to the starters and sharing them as our meals.
Be the first to ReplyVery disappointing.
Chicken pink, lamb keema cold and very salty, naan doughy. It says everything about this place that the best thing about it were the papadums. These points were made to the management, but no considerations offered.
Be the first to ReplyWent here for dinner.
For starters we ordered the samosas and murgh pao. The samosas (two per order) were fine texture wise but the filling lacked flavor. I could not identify any spices in it. The pao, two chicken sliders, were good but were ruined by how buttery the bread was (it literally glistened) and the chicken filling, while tasty, was a bit dry.For entrees we tried the lamb roganjosh and lamb dhansak with garlic naan. Note, they charge you for rice ($4) which I think is a bit ridiculous. The roganjosh was oily though nicely spiced. The dhansak was enjoyable as was the naan. The meal overall was a bit of a letdown and the prices are high for the food you get. There are cheaper, better Indian restaurants in the area. The restaurant itself is a decent size and the service was good.

Went to @dhabanyc by recommendation and it indeed seemed to be popular judging from the nonstop uber eats orders and being almost fully seated! The appetizer chips were too salty for me, but my orders of curry and rice tasted very fresh and naturally flavored. Simple but delicious! People there were really kind to me as well. Good experience!

Be the first to ReplyFive stars for the food.
Appetizers of fried cauliflower had a perfectly crispy batter and tender cauliflower inside coated in a mildly sweet and spicy garlic chili sauce. The lamb briyani was fantastic with plenty of chunks of tender lamb with fluffy rice baked in a bread bowl. Mixed grill was big enough for 2-3 to share. Saag paneer was very buttery but a little on the salty side. Only negative was the loud thumping r&b music that kept playing on a Saturday afternoon. Felt out of place in the restaurant and made it hard to talk and distracted from the meal.
Be the first to ReplyDelicious food-- god awful service.
Took 30 minutes to order with nothing in front of us-- the table next to us had the same experience and we bonded over it. Felt like I was in purgatory with the waiters ignoring us. Maybe we came on a bad night or they were all new but it was bizarre and there was no attentiveness. Asked 3 different people for the check. We finally got it from a guy who wasn't even our waiterWould order take out but not come back Dishes don't come with rice make sure to order

I got the chicken tikka masala delivered, and it was so quick! It took only about 10-15 minutes to arrive. The food itself was a generous portion and really yummy. The sauce was super flavorful, and the chicken was cooked well so it wasn't tough or chewy. The picture was about half the portion of what I actually got and I went back for seconds to finish it. The whole meal was really filling, and could definitely be split into two portions.

This is my wife and my favorite go-to Indian restaurant in NYC. Amazing food for the price. Everything is well spiced and really good flavors. Favorite menu items are the chili onion Naan, achari chicken, phaal curry, samosas, pani puri. You have to order rice separately, which is kind of annoying. It's a great sit down place that is open till one o'clock in the morning. The ambiance is amazing, And the music is always on point. Not an extremely formal place, but good for a casual night out.
Be the first to ReplyTLDR: Do not order the Biryani.
The Bhel Puri and Chole Bhatura were spiced well and flavorful. They were reasonably priced and overall the restaurant has a good vibe. However, I was very disappointed with the main Biryani dish. First my order came out with the incorrect meat and was thus remade and I think pushed out in a hurry. There were large chunks of white rice that were not mixed properly and the chicken was undercooked and bland.

We chose this place in a neighborhood full of Indian restaurants because of the good reviews and we are sooo glad we did. We got the butterchicken, chicken tikka masala, kofta malai and lamb biryani. Everything was delicious. We asked for mild and non spicy and it was on point. We ordered gulab jamon and another dessert rsmalai it's made with sweet milky syrup, it was so heavenly!!! The service was good. The price is so reasonable and the seating is good it was easy to get last minute seats here.
