Rude staff with poor service
Staff were extremely rude and refused to serve us for dolci (dessert). We were asked to leave unless we ordered a full meal. The restaurant was not busy. We recommend to avoid this restaurant.

I never write reviews, but I hope this opens Dario's eyes to how his actions affect a person. I travelled to Panzano with my family and my sisters family. We were so excited to visit Dario's restaurant, food truck and butcher! Our first night we went to his restaurant which I have to say we were all a little disappointed with. It is advertised as an intimate dinner at one table "family style". It was a family style fixed menu but there are at least three rooms with many people. The meat was good but served quickly and with little intimacy. A couple days later we went to the food truck where the young man working there was wonderful and pleasant and the "burger" was delicious!! However you must like it cooked rare, which we did. Then later that evening we went to Dario's butcher shop. We walked in and there were two beautiful Tomahawk steaks which we said we'd buy. There were eleven of us so we needed a little more to grill. I wasn't sure what to order so I said that at home I liked a ribeye. Well, Dario looked at me and called me a moron because "In Florence you eat a Florentine steak." He then walked by me and called me a moron again! Well I had a few choice words I could have said back and honestly I should have left, but grilling was the plan for dinner and I didn't realize until after that there was another butcher in town! So I stood there and paid for the meat! It bothered me for days! So Dario, you didn't mind selling me two Tomahawk steaks but not a ribeye because it's not Florentine? I hope you were just having a bad day because that was just mean and insulting.

Yes, tourists go here. That said, it was so so much fun! I'm a foodie, and have been in the food business my entire life. Meeting Dario was like meeting a rock star. And he and his staff were so friendly. I don't like forced company (cruise ships) but we had so much fun with the folks at our table...from Connecticut , Florida, Romania and Texas. Please let me help out fellow Americans. Yes, the meat can be rare, and one of the courses is steak tartar. But the steak (which by the way they keep serving and serving until you say "no mas!!") can be, and happily was put back on the grill for a little more cooking time. My daughter likes "medium rare" and my wife "medium". They were both happy, that our server with a big smile, cooked the steak a little more. In addition a huge bottle of Chianti is placed on the table, and everybody enjoyed the wine! The community was very special, with people from all over the world gushing to experience a special night. and they did not disappoint. I cannot recommend it more than a must experience while Dario is working!! Make sure to get there early to enjoy a pre-dinner class of wine outside the restaurant. Don't fret about rushing the restaurant when they start seating people, your table and seat have already been selected by the staff. So relax and enjoy the moment. We were seated upstairs, and it was wonderful.

What an amazing experience! Yes, you need to like steak and group dining! Our crew arrived a few minutes before the lunch seating and were treated to wine and bread outside the butcher shop. While it did seem that everyone was getting different cuts of beef, we loved what we were served and they had no problem putting some rare items back on the grill for a few minutes. The white beans, roasted veggies, wine, and dessert were just delicious and the whole experience in Chiante was fantastic!

Your dining experience begins before you even enter the restaurant. Servers bring you wine and bread to encourage your appetite. Dario will personally greet guests before seating. There are multiple levels of seating which easily accommodate couples or groups as required. Because there is no menu, you have ample time for chatting before service begins. Wine selection is easy. You either enjoy Dario's house Chianti or bring your own (no corkage). Once service begins, a plethora of dishes are served over the next couple of hours. Every dish is a delight for beef lovers. The bottles of Chianti are bottomless. Servers are very attentive to diners needs and welcome questions. After about ten dishes, you're treated to dessert with an apéritif and coffee. Great food. Great service. Great experience. Great value at €50. Be sure to bring a huge appetite to avoid frustration. You don't want to miss out on a single dish. Cheers!
Outstanding experience!
I have visited Mr. Dario after discover him with his documentary on Netflix. First, I came in and meet with Mr. Dario and have introduced myself as a Canadian from Montreal who was celebrating my 50th anniversary. Mr. Dario came to me, shake my hand and offer me a glass of Chianti. He shares with me his loves for Quebec and his relationship with very famous people from italien district in Montreal. He has invited me to have a peace of cake and coffee for my anniversary. WHAT A GENTLEMAN! If you plan to visit the Chianti area, YOU MUST STOP BY and have a lunch. Merci M. Dario. Gracie Mille. Wonderful experience!
Read some of the reviews giving a less than average rating. You need to know what you are going for. This is a busy place, lots of people and meat! This is not a typical quaint Italian restaurant. You are going to eat excellent meat, lots of it! I normmally dislike beef tartar, if it wasn't that there was so much food I would have had a second serving. Service is ok, a little rushed at first. It was pretty obvious to us that not everyone enjoys the job. We happen to be there on an eveing that Dario came by. He is a fun character, took a photo with us. As long as you are a meat-lover and can eat, you will get value for your money. If you enjoy a fun vibe, give it a try. You start outside in front of the restaurant. They serve wine and bread with homemade lard - it was excellent! If you overdo it, you will struggle to eat your meal. We woud return.

1.) Setting a Reward (Bid)

* Peter really wants to go, so he increases the bid (or reward) to $200.
* At this stage, the reservation does not exist yet.
2.) A Community User Picks Up the Bid
* FulfilledThread16, an experienced AT user, has a strong track record of successfully securing reservations and low refund requests, they receive a notification about Peter's bid.
* FulfilledThread16 picks up the bid, meaning they will now work on securing the reservation.
* Peter can now talk to FulfilledThread16 for any questions Peter may have as FulfilledThread16 user fills the bid.
3.) Finding the Reservation
* FulfilledThread16 now uses their connections at Dario Cecchini to secure the table.
* If they successfully get the 6 PM table for four, Peter receives a confirmation that the reservation has been secured.
* If FulfilledThread16 fails to secure the reservation, the bid is returned to the pool so another user can try.
4.) Payment & Protection
* Once the reservation is secured, FulfilledThread16 receives the $200 reward which is credited to FulfilledThread16's AT balance, where users manage their own funds and can withdraw via available payout options such as bank transfer, PayPal, or Zelle.
* Peter can now enjoy the dinner with his friends at Dario Cecchini!
