We didn't listen to him for everything (particularly desert) and i think that is where we went wrong. - decoration is beautiful Now for more of a mixed review: - i didnt think seats were particularly comfortable - some of the food selections were fantastic while others fell off the charts for me.. so i would give some 5 stars and others 3 stars.. which is what i felt was disappointing The actual items in my opinion; - Gunpowder goli vati - very good - Rasam poori - fantastic - Crispy sambal peppers- excellent but spicy - Vegetable of the day: one dish bad (coconut one), eggplant good and the third curry type was ok nothing to rave for. Overall disappointing i wish i had the dosa - Shrimp mango curry: good - Chai: very bad - Cardamom pave: really not good we didnt have more than one spoon each - Gods own coconut variation: surprising and good. Cold.

Food: 4 Decor: 4 Service: 5 Came here for dinner on a Sun night after making a reservation for the bar. RASAM POOR Passion Fruit, Mint, Sprouted Chickpea and Radish ~4/5. Tasty and refreshing. SHRIMP VENNAI ROAST Chef Sri's favorite, Shrimp roasted in Chili Chutney, Brown Butter, Curry Leaves, and Lime ~4/5. Shrimp was cooked nicely and had quite a bit of heat. Would have liked a bit more apple to balance out. THATTUKADA FRIED CHICKEN (A street food classic from the streets of Trivandrum) Fennel Seeds, Red Chilies, Black Pepper, Shallots and Masala Crumbs ~3/5. Okay fried chicken. Nice mix with spices, but was a bit drier than I would have liked. SOUTHERN KERALA SHRIMP MANGO CURRY red onions, tomatoes, coconut, egg appam ~4/5. Tasty, rich curry with tasty shrimp. Went well with the egg appam, but I wish there were more of the appam. We had to order another side of basmati rice. Service was great. Food came out very fast (a bit too fast for the first few courses), and our bartender Mo was very nice.

I live close by and see that's is busy most of the time and my girlfriend and I love Indian food so we thought we would try it. First off, decor is nice and unique. Service in my opinion was at the level of a Chili's, good but nothing special. We ordered many dishes and were not impressed with any of them. The real kicker came later that evening when I got violently ill and was throwing up most of the night.

Came here with a friend on a weeknight and it was definitely still packed, the two of us were seated at the bar. Copra has a beautiful inner ambience and it was exciting to see a place serving "fancy" South Indian food, I feel as though this is rare to see in the area. The staff were all super friendly and patiently offered recommendations, although I feel as though the recommended amounts to order were much more than what we actually needed for the two of us (we each ordered a "third" main course, and split a "second" appetizer, but the waiter had recommended two "firsts", two "seconds", and two "thirds", which definitely would have been excessive.) The rasam poori was delicious and flavorful, I loved every bite. I enjoyed the asparagus paruppu urundai, especially the idyappam it came with. Overall, appreciated the uniqueness of the menu items while still maintaining authenticity to some South Indian classics. Despite the tasty food and excellent ambiance, I still felt as though the prices were a bit steep to justify - not sure if I would come again!

We had a wonderful experience at Copra and highly recommend if you're thinking about going! The food was delicious and exciting, but the service was what made our dinner so special and memorable. Our server, Ice, shined with knowledge, kindness, and care. We faced decision paralysis when it came to choosing just a few items off such an intriguing menu, but Ice won our trust and had us excited to be surprised at each course with what he knew of our preferences and interests. My absolute favorite dish was the bone marrow with chukka masala eaten with Kerala parotta. A must try before you get stuffed with the 3rd course! By the end of the night, we barely had room for dessert but still ended up ordering 3 desserts for the three of us. "God's Own" was a refreshing and delicious end to the lovely night. Thank you to Ice for ensuring we had the best experience at Copra! His enthusiasm was contagious and I hope to be back soon.

This was our first time here, so we decided to ask our friendly server, Ice, for recommendations. My top favorites for savory (in sequence) were the Scallop & Rhubarb, Chargrilled Bone Marrow, and Southern Kerala Shrimp Mango Curry. I loved the slight nuttiness and charred texture of the scallops paired with the sweet tanginess of the carrot thogiyal and honey yogurt sauce. The bone marrow melted in my mouth -- equal parts gamey, smokey, and juicy. The acidity and spiciness of the shrimp curry were the perfect nod to the tomato-based curries I had back home. We ended the night with some dessert, my top favorites being "Gods Own" Coconut Variation and Cardamom Pave. Every bite of "Gods Own" took me on a nostalgia trip -- with the soft, chunky coconut crystals and refreshing coconut milk resembling the "chest-cooling soup desserts" I used to have as a tropical heat essential. As a wonderful contrast to previous dessert, the pave was drizzled with a tangy berry nectar, chunks of pistachio, and a solidified cream texture that tasted even better as it started to melt. Throughout every stage of our experience, I appreciated how our server Ice was intuitively and patiently checking in with us. It was clear how he and the rest of the staff had expertise on the backstory behind each dish and knowledge of the ingredient sourcing. Will definitely be returning for more!

This used to be the old dosa on Fillmore. We loved that restaurant so we’re excited to try it now. The food lived up to his expectations. The dosa was terrific. The lamb dish was flavorful. The coconut dessert was amazing.

Ever since the restaurant opened, i have been meaning to dine here! Initially, weekend reservations were hard to come by! Been to the other of Chef Sri's restaurants, including his Michelin Star days at Campton Place, and have always loved how he brings authenticity with creativity to elevate Indian cuisine! Finally, got a reservation for a weekday, for 4 of us! And, kinda in a way to celebrate our wedding too! Food was amazing! The shrimp, OMG! That was amazingly delicious! The chicken (kori gassi) - yes please! The truffle appam - double yes please! That hamachi collar - get in my tummy please! The desserts!! Can never have enough room for the desserts haha.. and the watalappan and green apple halwa, both were yum! Among all these shiny stars, biryani didn't leave enough mark. And, not to say, cocktails were not good, but i have had much better cocktails! Coming back? Definitely yes!

After hearing raving reviews about this place - we finally got a reservation to go!! The ambience was nice thought a bit loud (probably not great for a first date but good for groups of friends)! Very aesthetic and pretty decor and plants all around. We got lots of items to share - from reading recs of other people, we liked the chutney dips, the truffle appam, rasam poori, octopus, fried chicken, curry with dosa, biryani, and a coconut dessert! I really enjoyed the appam, octopus, fried chicken and biryani. The rasam poori was not a highlight for me as I've had pani puri with friends before and felt this was a bit overpriced and not amazing for street food. The other dishes were delicious as were the cocktails (especially the ones with a bit of spice to it). Service was good, waiters were attentive, but I felt the food in the beginning was served pretty quickly but was then slower later on. Would definitely recommend trying it out but it's not somewhere I would go on a regular.

Typically Indian food is not my go to but I have heard how good Copra is so decided to give a try. TLDR is worth a try but not necessarily the most "value" and will not be me first choice to go back to given my cuisine preferences. Lots of very unique form of dishes like the Masala Dosa and Rasam Poori. Favorite dish though was probably the Octopus - very very chewy and nicely done.

Come here with people who aren't picky and who love to eat and ain't shy about using their hands because you will be licking your fingers and then some! Food is spiced well and not for the weak. The flavors in these dishes come together so well! Gave 4 stars because we felt a bit rushed, and our server just didn't seem to be in the mood of telling us more about the menu or offering suggestions. Dessert was ok, I would skip and just get some ice cream at nearby places. The service, phenomenal. The ambiance, emasculate. The food, 1 billion out of 10. While Indian food is my favorite food, South Indian is not something I love that much (not a bit coconut guy). However, this was sensational. No overwhelming flavors except delicious! For drinks we got the Lemon Chili cocktail and a Mint Mojito. What didn't we order! And so much we could have ordered to try but ate soooo much. We got the: - PERIGORD BLACK TRUFFLE SOFT EGG APPAM, PEPPER, CHIVES (8.5/10) - BEACH PEANUT MASALA WRAP (8/10) - RASAM POORI (8/10) - SLOW - COOKED OCTOPUS (10000/10) - MYSORE MASALA DOSA (10/10) - BLACK COD POLLICHATHU (10/10) Beyond delicious - all of it! And was treated to delish mango sorbet for my birthday dessert! Would recommend this to everyone!!
This is the best meal I have had in many years in SF.
So refreshing to taste the spices and incredible technique of Chef Sri as well as the fabulous cocktails, impeccable service, and the beautiful decor and ambiance. Highlights were... everything! The chutneys, chicken curry, the lamb, the gluten free breads... the gin, rum, rye cocktails... we tried four! And the coconut dessert with the mango sorbet. Unforgettable experience. Totally worth to reserve in advance and wait for the big day you are able to dine here!

Allergy Alert: A Disastrous Dining Experience
For individuals with severe allergies, it is strongly advised to steer clear of this restaurant as it could potentially result in an emergency room visit 🚨. This restaurant is incredibly chaotic. Upon arrival, the server inquired about food allergies for our party, including two individuals with severe allergies. Despite noting down the allergens, the first dish arrived with a large radish garnish, causing concern. The server replaced it, but the second dish repeated the mistake, extending our wait time to receive our food. All dishes we ordered were delayed. A third error occurred when the server brought shrimp to our table, only to realize it was meant for another table. We expressed our concern to the server who then called the manager. The manager was unapologetic about the delays and allergen mistakes, claimed the restaurant was busy. This lack of responsibility, especially with severe allergies involved, is unacceptable for a fine dining establishment. The manager contacted the general manager, who brushed off the errors, attributing them to the common occurrences in the service industry during a busy night. In cases of severe allergies, there is absolutely no tolerance for errors. Take responsibility for your mistakes instead of attributing them to a busy night.

Wonderful! My parents are visiting and we have wanted to go to Nobu Malibu for years. I tried getting a reservation myself but it was next to impossible. So glad I was able to buy a reservation on appointment trader for a decent price!

Ok at this point I've attended a reservation purchased on AT by a friend and sold a reservation personally. Both worked pretty smoothly, nothing sketchy about it. A few areas for improvement including a way to more directly communicate between buyers and sellers, but the app always seems to be in development. AT customer support is really(!) responsive and helpful too if you have questions!

As a seller, I like the fact i have the ability now to transfer money out of my AT account and into a bank account. Makes getting the money much easier then the process before.

Whose name will my reservation be under when I arrive at the venue?
It can be under your name or a name you choose! Some reservation offers already include the AppointmentTrader Transfer Service which will transfer the reservation in to your name. If its not included you can add it on after buying the reservation for a small fee. One thing on that though: As many reservations become available at last minute, taking a reservation in someone else name is quick and great for privacy. Most reservations on AT are listed with a virtual phone number, so all you need to do is present the phone number at the hostess stand and you are good to go!
Payouts Blocked Because of Sell Through Rate
Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

Hey @EvocativeFold67, welcome to appointmenttrader! Once the reservation is in your portfolio, you definitely own the timeslot, the review team would not have approved the trade if the reservation wasn't confirmed - so you are going :-) Judging from your post you bid today and are going tomorrow - don't worry as long as you initiated the name transfer, you are good - the transfer service has to work with the opening hours of the reservation team of the respective venue. You will likely see the transfer confirmation a couple hours before your reservation time.
Where do the Reservations on AppointmentTrader come from?
Mostly from people who don't need their reservations or appointments any longer. AT has no relationship with places listed and acts as a platform connecting buyers and sellers making sure that listed reservations are real and that privacy is not compromised when transacting.
What happens if my bid expires unanswered?
Hey @FluffyStar64, thanks for the question! When you place your bid the amount gets transferred in a deposit account, the second you either cancel your bid or a few minutes after the bid expires the funds are moved back into your main account from where you can refund it to your payment method or use for other transactions.
