The 2pm seating is a very fun lunch
So, the 2pm seating is the party seating, the noon seating is just for lunch. The food, especially the Fondue, is tasty and hits the spot after a day on the slopes. The wine and champagne flow nicely with the meal but is a quick 45-50min to order, eat and clear, because at 3pm the DJ takes over and the next thirty minutes are a fairly unique experience. One the music really starts, people are on their chairs spraying champagne like you see in a locker room of a world title team, pick any sport. Depending on the crowd, you can walk out with a wet coat or like you just went swimming. The ski run down after lunch at Cloud9 is slower and more enjoyable than most, you’re basically the last people down the mountain.
Be the first to Replyso not worth it
I wanted to treat my 2 kids & 4 of their friends (all in the mid-twenties) to a special treat at Cloud Nine. However, I could not have been more disappointed in the experience. First off, our waiter (John ?) was very rude and condescending to the young adults. He was professional with me, but his attitude to our table in general was inexcusable. When the young adults asked questions about items on the menu, John rudely talked down to them like they were idiots, when all he should have done is answer their questions politely. On top of that, the food was barely average. I ordered the Pasta Bolognese, and I have had better pasta from Olive Garden. The only really good food on the table was the bread that was brought at the beginning of the meal. That alone was delicious. We dined at many other restaurants in Aspen during my visit, and all of them had excellent food and service. Unfortunately, Cloud Nine was NOT one of them.
Be the first to ReplyBest Party you will have on the snow ever
To be honest I thought I was too old for this restaurant but it was the best fun lunch at the snow I’ve had for over 50 years. Food was great but you are there for the party and expect to wear a lot of champagne
Be the first to ReplyGood lunch
I was here for lunch this past Monday before the craziness set in. Overall, I really enjoyed it. Our server was friendly, I enjoyed the soup, and the basically bottomless fondue was delicious. Nice glass of wine to accompany. A little pricey but it makes sense given the location. I will definitely visit again.
Be the first to ReplyYou can’t miss this place
This place is a must and let me explain why.
First, if you don’t make a reservation plan to stand in line, if you drop $100 and have 2-3 people you might get in, if not better luck next time. They have a seating at 12 and 2. If you want to just eat go at 12, if you want to eat and party go at 2. They have a small menu but the food is top notch and they have an amazing selection of champagnes. At about 2:45-3 the DJ starts to get loud and people start spraying champagne all over the place. Yes you will get wet unless your on the perimeter, and yes it’s expensive. If you want to have a good time and get the night started early this place is a good start. People were very cool, it was fun and worth checking out
A Fine French Dinner is Unexpected after a Snowcat Ride
Twice now, we've signed up for the snowcat dinner experience. One doesn't expect to have an exciting snowcat ride up the mountain at dusk a find it leads to a fine French dining experience. Such a pleasant surprise. Four courses of great French dishes; two or three choices per course. Great wines on the list. Is is good and fun. We've done it TWICE!

Amazing!! For me it’s the best restaurant in Aspen! Great cheese fondue and raclette! If they have it, order the Truffled Fondue! For a great party, make the reservation for the 1:30 PM seating - won’t regret it. Awesome party, best songs!
Be the first to ReplyBeautiful day and enjoyed lunch outside!
I tried to book a table 3 weeks earlier for the famous 2:00 seating, but wasn't able to probably due to the X-Games. We decided to stop in and see if we could just grab a drink and get our name on the waiting list, but they had an outdoor table available for the earlier seating and we took it. It was a gorgeous sunny day and we totally enjoyed every moment of it! We had the fondue which was pretty pricey for what it was, but delicious and so enjoyable on such a beautiful day. If we get back to Aspen Highlands, we will dine again at Cloud Nine!
Be the first to ReplyInteresting one time experience
It has been years and the restaurant had great Alsatian dishes and wines. Now it has decent food at least for the main prix fixe and a wild champagne spraying, DJ thumping extravaganza at 3-345 pm each day. The wildness is the real reason to come and then sit inside or out. If you sit in the main room inside you will be soaked with champagne. They have other lovely tables with fab Mountain views not in the main room.
I have no problem ordering good champagne, and the last thing I would do with it is pour it on the ground.
Fun night out!
We were lucky enough to be able to book spaces on the Snowcat and dining experience at Cloud Nine. The ride up the mountain on the back of the snowcat was very exciting and the views of the town below were spectacular. The experience of dining in the lodge by candlelight sitting next to a wood stove was very cosy and romantic. The wait staff were very professional, considerate, and accommodating. The food was also quite delicious.
I would definitely recommend this experience.
Hot tip- it is more comfortable to sit on the side of the snowcat trailer that is facing up the mountain.
Excellent lunch to celebrate the holiday season up in 10000ft
Steak was cooked to perfect medium rare & the white truffle risotto was so yummy. Most unique snowboarding or skiing experience with luxury foods

I think the picture sums it up. Here for a bachelor party, place is expensive but worth it in my opinion. Really great time, club music blasting. Def needs to be a scene you want to be at though.
Be the first to ReplyAll around delicious
From the experience to the food- all was excellent. Super cool and good servers, the champagne is delicious and the wine- do the last seating of the day so you can ski straight down! The food was excellent. It was my first time eating there (I have always skied to the deck for a glass of champagne!). Everything we ate was fabulous. It is a wonderful Aspen Highlands experience. I hope to get back in during closing weekend. Get ready to spend a couple hundred per person (at least!)- worth it!
