Claud New York Reviews from The Last Year
Just the perfect wine bar in the city! Their chicken liver
Just the perfect wine bar in the city! Their chicken liver agnolotti with brown butter, sage and balsamic was unreal. The balance between the fat and sour notes were served in a flavor bomb vessel. The foie gras was also really great. I was grateful they had an orange wine on the wine list. Alelaide and Juliet provided great service. Would definitely go back to try more of the menu!

Sadly, we did not dine at Claud because the hostess was extremely rude. On the phone, she told us there was currently no wait. So, we took a cab and arrived 15 minutes later. Once there, she haughtily looked us up and down and told us there would be an hour and a half wait, and after that, we could only sit at the front bar. She honestly seemed like she evaluated us as not worthy to eat there. We were dressed casually but respectably. There was nothing about us that should have made her treat us that way. I would never even try to go back because of her. She ruined the entire vibe of the place for us.

Finally got the chance to come and try this spot with a friend. It was very good and overall I was very pleased with this meal. Here is what we ordered: - Pea Fritters with Pecorino (a must get, fried pockets covered in cheese) - Kampachi with Kumquat and Yuzu (very light and fresh, this was good but not a standout dish to me, the kumquat and yuzu was used so sparingly it was a bit lost for me) - Cucumbers with spring onion and Calabrian chili (the only pass for me, it was light and refreshing for summer but detected no calabrian chili at all, was nothing special) - Spring Mille- Feuille with ricotta and morels (the most interesting dish we tried and a dish I will absolutely dream about. This dish made the meal and is an absolute must order. Flakey, buttery and creamy but is still airy enough that doesn't make this dish feel heavy.) - Glazed carrots (recommended by the server and I'm glad we got this. These were a nice balance to our meal. these are quite candied and hard to stop eating) - Dover sole with Sherry and Lemon for two (cooked perfectly, a great portion for two, felt so light and fresh. delicious, be mindful that this is a whole fish and you may find a bone or two, I found one) - Devil's food cake (another must get, sweet but not tooth-ache sweet. definitely split with another person as this thing is HUGE!, all of the things you want from a cake, buttery, moist, just rich enough.) - (Complimentary) Coffee Ice cream (paired perfectly with the cake as this was a bit sweeter and nutty. If this becomes a menu item, you should definitely incorporate this into your meal.) We both got 2 glasses of Cooperativa de Cadalso "Granito de Cadalso" Vinos de Madrid, Spain 2017 ($13) delicious, and totally worth it. Service really elevated this experience. This is definitely giving 'sexy date night' or 'thirty, flirty and thriving' for a girls night out. Its cozy, minimalist, modern eastern European vibes. A great experience.

It's exciting to find a place that uses classic French flavors in unique ways. The wine list is legendary with some very coveted bottles and the wine did not disappoint. The scallop with turnip was probably one of the best preparations I've ever had. Intensely fragrant and flavorful but did not hide the taste of the scallop itself which was the true shining star. The foie gras with candied walnuts reminded me of my favorite cafe in Paris that does foie gras with gingerbread and the sweet nutty flavor compliments the foie like no other. The red shrimp were good, not as excellent as I expected from other reviews, but we enjoyed them. The butter was infused with that deep savory umami taste you get from the shell and it was a bit overpowering but that just might be me. The mains were much larger than we expected and very decadent. The pork chop is smothered in smoked, caramelized onions. It was jammy and delicious. The half chicken with foie gras was unbelievable good. The quality of chicken itself was well above average and it was cooked so perfectly. Probably one of the best roast chickens I have ever had. The bread they kept dropping at our table was something I will dream about for weeks. And that chocolate cake for dessert was rich yet ethereal. Layers piled high with chocolate cream like a ganache wrapping a perfect, deep black chocolate cake with a delicate hint of saltiness. I really never liked chocolate cake but this slice has shown me the way. The vibe of the place is sleek, modern with retro touches and very comfortable. I wished we could have stayed longer, but the meal was rushed. We were on time for our reservation but it's clear they are trying to turn tables quickly by how they drop multiple dishes at once in quick succession. The crowd was what you expect from a new Manhattan restaurant highlighted by the Times. There is no liquor and that was disappointing since we were looking forward to an aperitif. Equally so was the beer selection, especially when it came time for the pork chop and all they serve is Budweiser. Not sure why that's their pick, maybe it's a dis to those who do not drink wine or maybe they don't know that French beer is actually good. If the preference is domestic, there are 400+ breweries in New York, I hope they can find a beer that is a bit better than bud heavy.

Came here for a wednesday date night with my partner, and we were blown away by the quality, creativity, and portions of the food. We also were impressed by the wine list (both bottle and glass) and each very much enjoyed our wine (one of the best resiling I've ever had). We were situated at the bar and had lovely service there. Staff was friendly, attentive, and made solid recommendations. Food-wise it's hard to pick a favorite - we loved ALL of the dishes we had, and every one of them was balanced perfectly (we were surprised because at first we thought some of the dishes would be overly rich or acidic). We got the foie gras tarine, scallop and turnip, duck liver angolotti, the himachi collar and tail (which was a special), and the pistachio bundt cake to finish it all off. Again - we were blown away by all of the dishes and most certainly will be back!

Really superb evening here! All the food was distinct and delicious. Asparagus tender and crisp at the same time.i had the liver agnolotti, which was savory and creamy with the perfect toothsomeness to the pasta. Server recommended some perfect wine pairings by the glass. Had this surprisingly complex and delicate Portuguese wine. The chocolate cake at the end was perfect. Bill was shockingly low, though I only had two glasses of wine. (There are some PRICEY wines on the list but some reasonable ones too.) Our service was top-notch, friendly but never in the way.
In general, excellent.
The food is off the charts and the service was very friendly, if a bit rushed. They were clearly trying to turn the table as fast as possible, which meant food came out at a breakneck pace. But the food and wines were worth it.

Everything at Claud was exceptional! Our server and sommelier were very on top of things and had great suggestions. The ambiance was simple but effective. We had the foie gras, scallops, half chicken, dover sole, shrimp, carrots, and devil's food cake. All of these dishes were great, but the dover sole and foie gras were my personal favorites. Would definitely recommend this place for a nicer dinner spot!

Wow. Everything here was so yummy. We ordered the scallops, asparagus, chicken liver agnolotti, and pork chop. My favorites were the chicken liver agnolotti and the pork chop. The plate of agnolotti was smaller than I was expecting but it was surprisingly a lot of food. The flavor was very rich with a smoky kick which I was not expecting. The pork chop was a very large portion and very tender. The service was also really good. I don't think our pitcher of water ever hit less than half the bottle - they were so quick to swap them out! I would definitely come again, maybe to try their famous chocolate cake next time.

Had my birthday dinner here and it was a great place to celebrate. The ambiance is quite nice, not too quiet but not too loud with mood lighting. The bread was really good, and also really enjoyed the chicken liver agnolotti and foie gras. The half chicken and pork chops were pretty good but definitely ordered too much food. They also surprised us with a small sorbet for my birthday. The staff were very friendly and pretty attentive the whole evening.
Excellent.
Great combinations of vibe, food, wine and cocktails. Has a number of delicious vegetarian options that is enough for a vegetarian to have a full dinner, which we appreciated. Carrots, cabbage, spinach/artichoke bread and squash fritters all delicious.
I really had some great dining experiences during this trip
I really had some great dining experiences during this trip to New York. Claud was among the best. The service is excellent. Servers were attentive and explained the menu clearly. Great sense of humor among the staff. Staff functions as a team. We had the squash fritters and the kampachi with kumquat and yuzu. Both were delicious and I'd recommend them! We had a bread with truffle and cheese which I don't think I would order again. We shared the Dover Sole for dinner. I would probably ask for more bread to soak up the sherry and and lemon (but I'm kind of a savage). Chocolate cake for dessert. Yes! We ended up choosing the Grüner Veltliner for wine. The ambience is relaxed and cozy but you know you're in a nice nice restaurant. Great for a date or meeting up with a close friend. Yes to Claud!
Umpteenth time dining at Claud tonight.
It is absolutely stellar each and every time, this time was no different. I'm always wowed by eating something new [new to me anyway] on the menu. I finally came with a group so I was able to order the bigger plates. Wowza. The half chicken with foie drippings [$38] was ridiculous. The skin was so crispy and the inside was so moist and flavorful. We also ordered the pork chop with smoked onion jus [$39]. The pork chop was pre-cut off the bone and ate like a steak. I definitely could've eaten the whole thing by myself. The glazed carrots [$14] that we ordered as a side were also delicious. For dessert we had the sherbet [$9] which was a citrus flavor with toasted meringue on top. It was definitely giving key lime pie. We also had the devils food cake for two [$22] which is a chocolate lovers dream. I can't stop raving about Claud. It really feels like my special place and it makes me so happy to eat here.
absolutely fantastic experience.
the chocolate cake is deadly. I could eat here for every meal
The Hidden Gem of Greenwich Village.
There were four of us, two couples, walking about Greenwich Village on a fine day Thursday, December, 28, 2023. At midday my wife and I usually like to go for a cup of coffee and sit for a spell. Our friends agreed. I found this place online, which was much easier than finding it on foot...the streets of Greenwich Village are a bit confusing for those that do not live here. Anyway, we found it, and we loved it! We really like small independent coffee places (I think there may be one of the same name in Europe, but not more?) that are friendly and cozy. An elderly lady was ordering ahead of us, when done she turned around and told me, "this is my favorite place in NYC"... and "how did you find it?" She said she has lived nearby all her life and always comes here. I told her I found it by chance. Interestingly I noticed, it has a French name, is run by Latino people, they have Italian pastries, located in the heart of NYC, USA... Truly a world place. We sat at the small tables by the window, savored our delicious coffee and snacked on our delicious pastries. If you are in Greenwich Village, don't miss stopping in.
Easily one of the best solo work trip meals that I've ever
Easily one of the best solo work trip meals that I've ever had. The wine list was truly amazing. Every bite of food was better than the last and the service at the bar was just the right amount of conversation. I can't wait to come back here.
I wish this place was easier to get a res to.
I didn't love the ambiance- it's pretty loud and busy, and some staff feel kind of above it all. However, I agree with those who say this is one of the best restaurants in the city. All of the food we got was delicious. In particular, the stand out dish for me was the tomato and cheese Mille feuille. Oh my goodness, I didn't think I would find this as delicious as I did. This was excellent and I couldn't stop thinking about it for weeks. Their plates are on the smaller side and like I said, all are well executed. Therefore don't feel too shy when ordering. Finally- the chocolate cake IS that good! If you're a big chocolate person, this is likely going to be one of your favorite desserts. I had this on my birthday and no regrets. Love the flaky salt on top. You'll probably be able to take some of it home too, it's a good portion.

I can't say enough good things about Claud, everything is fantastic. Amazing people, good vibes, and incredible food (quite possibly the best roasted chicken I've ever had). Hands down best wine restaurant in NYC.
Incredible food and Service all around.
Squash fritters and mushroom dish were unbelievable and the wine selection is top notch. Staff is all knowledgeable and friendly, I cant wait to go back and try more things from the menu!
Delicious and inventive dishes with a great waitstaff.
The wine list was varied as well. We hope to be back soon.

Payouts Blocked Because of Sell Through Rate

Does anyone know how AT plans to handle cases where a seller is quitting the platform but has a sell through rate <25%? The error message I got said to fill more bids or find other ways to increase the rate.
Is AT really going to block sellers from withdrawing their money? Especially revenue made before the sell through rate was introduced??

Yes unfortunately they are finding more and more ways to lock up sellers money. Sell thru rate, refund rate, limiting withdrawal amounts ler day and per month (which for me are the same number which makes no sense). Lot of sellers leaving as you can see from the lifetime sales not really increasing. Most posts on here are frustrated sellers which is not a recipe for success

I’m sorry to hear about this - I’m a brand new seller on the platform and didn’t realize this was a *thing* - any chance you can point me to the fine print/documentation where this policy is stated (also identifying other caveats like this would be appreciated)?
