Terrible service and down right EXTORTION by the staffs
Dear Sir/Madam I am writing to complain the unacceptable restaurant service for your staff when I was having family lunch on 5th February. The whole experience is a nightmare to us and my mum who was the host of the gathering was upset and extorted by the staff in Celestial Court Chinese Restaurant. Traditionally that was the last day celebration of Lunar New Year which red pocket would be given. My family is hosting the family lunch and since my mum and dad came into the restaurant and brought to the table, they were greeted NONSTOP by your staff after one red pocket was given out. When I started realising the situation, I asked my mum to stop giving as some staffs have come to my mum more than once to try his or her luck in getting red pocket. My mum was a 72 year old ladies. I understood the tradition to celebrate to send good blessings through red pocket from senior, but manipulating an elderly’s bad memory to get more than one red pockets are not different as a crook to steal money from others. This is just the beginning of the nightmare. We had ordered a total of 9 dishes. The noodles for baby and the Peking duck was served first. The waitress who cut the duck in front of us also ‘tried her luck’ and sneak to the opposite of the table (near my mum) to send over the dish. I had stopped my mum to send out the red pockets as the act from the waitress were just too apparent and my family was also realising that people come to our table so often to send little things one by one (different people) - tissues, sauces. The waitress just stood there near my mum for almost 1 min even after she sent over the dishes. The situation looked awfully with her just standing there. After 1 minute with no response or red pocket from our table, she immediately put away her smile and turned a stern gloomy looking face to us. Is it a service how a renowned hotel restaurant trained to deliver to their customers? It was rude and impolite. After that waitress left our table, I saw her whisper to a staff near her and left. Then from that time onwards with a count of at least 40 minutes, no dishes were served to us even if we had seek for different waiters and waitresses follow up - especially those who had received the red pockets. At the point of 45 minutes, a waitress who called Jojo, came next to my mum and said she was going to follow up. Again, she was standing there after everyone said ‘thank you’. My mum cannot bear the awkwardness and just tried to send her a red pocket. I was so angry and stopped her from doing this as I do not think it should be using red pocket to solve the dishes delay issue. Ms JoJo heard my word and saw my action but she continue standing there waiting shamelessly. Is she a beggar or what ?And how could she shared no sense of shame given in such awkward situation. Well, the one with no shame always got what she wanted right - she successfully got her red pocket. And within 3 minutes, ALL DISHES were sent to our table. And some dishes were cold, which meant that they were kept away for a while!!! This was definitely an EXTORTION and I cannot believed this was happening in a hotel restaurant which good reputation. Thanks to your the “well-trained” service to the guests, I would definitely not going come again in foreseeable future and I WILL DEFINITELY SHARE MY UNFORGETTABLE EXPERIENCE to those around me over the service our family had been “served” that day. I cannot even differentiate if I was eating in a scammer restaurant or a hotel restaurant. The whole lunch had ruined our last day of CNY, my mum felt extremely disappointed as the host of the table. This was definitely not acceptable to treat an old lady who wished to share her blessing to some of your staffs but ended up being tricked or played by the restaurant staff. Manipulating old ladies memory, scamming for more red pockets, extorting money for delayed dishes and being rude to the guests cause fail to steal money from an old lady. I demanded an apology from the team and would like to escalate this to the management of Sheraton Tsim Sha Tsui especially to the F&B directors.

今年三月已投訴小菜質素長期似過山車,燒鵝竟然沒有預熱就岀俾客人;半隻炸子雞,居然找不到雞翼雞髀部份,扣件情況非常嚴重,貴為米芝蓮推介食店,岀貨質素仲差過任何一間燒味店,及後安排重新岀貨,才是暖燒鵝,及似番半隻雞。另外XO醬海鮮煎米粉,咸到苦,得到廚房回覆,可能落鹽重手左。。。。居然無再煮過一碟,只提議取消。。。。廚房煮得差,食唔倒入口,本人覺得煮過碟會比較適合。 本來唯一安慰的是點心質素仍是高水準,所以今次已特登只來食點心,不再叫小菜燒味等。很可惜,最後防線,點心質素亦下降不少,本人叫了蝦餃,燒賣,竹炭叉燒包,和牛燒餅,XO醬蘿蔔糕及瑤柱蘿蔔腸粉。其中竹炭叉燒包及和牛燒餅質素可以保持,冇走樣,可是燒賣蒸耐左,上枱已經爛晒,蝦餃明顯比以前細粒左,皮偏濕,餃肉鬆散,一直馳名嘅蝦膠,好似變了質。。。。瑤柱蘿蔔腸粉不脆,上枱即食內餡已濕咗,不新鮮。蘿蔔糕水份太多,亦沒什麼蘿蔔味,幸好炒功好好,令蘿蔔糕上枱得以保持粒狀,冇黐埋一堆。及後本人到知名食評網站看看食評,發現6月有一位朋友post的相片,相片內的燒賣都係蒸到爛哂,證明這情況並不是一時失手。其實做生意,並不是有客幫襯就可以不理食物質素,人哋相信你公司品牌,職員及廚師是專業,沒料到你俾質素咁差嘅食物人哋,好像有客就可以不理質素。。。。。食老本始終會坐食山崩!
